At the same time the reviews talking of condescension and dismissiveness in the office is accurate and really irritating. Remember, everyone, you are treating the WHOLE person not just an appendage. Had some pain in left hip area this year when I woke up one morning suddenly in a lot of pain and so went back there, though I emphasized to Swartz that it definitely felt like some muscle issue "feels like a tennis ball in my butt", doubted it had to actually do with the hip replacement. They took X-Ray and guess what they told me? "The hip replacement looks good." Couldn't figure it out. I asked for a referral to an osteo at another place who had done wonders (hands-on) for my friend. They did that referral. So I go to the other doctor (Dr. Madeline Ginn-Terpstra) and she feels my lower back and within 3 minutes says "your tailbone is rotated. I put it back." Instant pain relief. Problem solved. So I call Shoreline to have them put a copy of my xray on my patient portal -- I want to know if the xray view included my tailbone, and if so why in the hell didn't they see it? Why did I have to diagnose myself? Possible that area was not on xray and I didn't want to make accusations that were not true. It now has been two months and 4 phone calls and still there's no xray on my portal. And if xrays can't be put online for some unknown reason, at least a callback and offer to show in-house. Nothing. Dismissive. Like you're not important if it doesn't involve major surgery. They are well regarded and apparently do a bunch of biz with teenage athletes in the schools. More exciting than working with an old lady. Star rating has to do with this episode. I'd put surgeries at 4.5 stars.

My father's hip surgery experience with Dr. Derick Johnson has been horrific. Three months after…read morethe surgery and he can barely walk. Has had terrible popping noises when he sneezes that bring him to the ground in pain. Dr. Johnson has shown zero interest in the very poor outcome of the surgery and has left an injured patient to fend for himself. A few weeks back when he sneezed and heard a loud popping sounds and fell to his knees in pain, he called the office and asked to see the Dr. The nurse asked to rate his pain on a 1-10. He said 12!! (very unusual for my father). After checking, the nurse said they could not get him in to see the doctor. He said he was going to the emergency room. She checked with the Dr. and told him "DO NOT GO TO EMERGENCY ROOM' and at the same time, said he could not see my father. My father was in good health going into the surgery. Before the surgery, he was completely mobile and able to do yard work, bicycle and most other things he wanted to do (65 yrs. old) . Now - very limited mobility and a LOT of pain. My father has tried repeatedly to speak with the Dr. and has been unable to get the Doctor live in 2 months. I reached his staff last week and was told the Dr. would ring me Monday or Tuesday of this week. Those days have come and gone and I have not received a call. My father is in a very bad spot here and I'm starting a search to see if we can find another doctor to fix what has become a really bad situation. If you go to Dr. Johnson, I hope your experience is much better than that of my father.

For years I've wanted to see a chiropractor to hopefully get relief from headaches that seemed to…read morestem from a very stiff upper back and neck. I decided to reach out to Holland Chiropractic Center for an appointment, my appointment was with Brian Plummer. I explained why I made the appointment, what pains I had, what issues I thought were causing the headaches, etc. He had answers for all of my questions. I'm very detail oriented so I appreciated how he explained what the muscles or bones were doing when the problems occur and what the course of action would be to correct them. This was roughly 10 months ago, since then my wife and I both average 2 visits a month because we feel so much better after being realigned. The staff here is also super friendly, they're very welcoming and just fun to talk with. I HIGHLY recommend Holland Chiropractic Center to anyone who has been considering going to a chiropractor for their body pains, or anyone who'd like to see a new chiropractor that is positive and fun to be around.

She is amazing with kids, especially babies. Our family cannot thank her enough for all the work and Improvement we have seen. Do not hesitate to call this office!

Because of that my partner had to endure not being able to walk without having pain for roughly 1 and a half year and they told her to have a bone stimulator which never worked btw, then they have her buy expensive silicone stuff for foot to put in the expensive shoes they had her buy .Then they told her to keep the bone stimulator on and not do anything even though she told them multiple times she was experiencing pain from it cuz it was literally shocking her, and they dismissed her and said "Just wear it anyway!" They later on referred her to another doctor within their area to tell him about the pain she is experiencing and then his only solutions were "Buy some silicones for your foot" she said never worked for her. "Get a bone stimulator" never worked for her either and his response was "I'm hearing a lot of negativity" NOOOOOO YOU THINK?!? I would have yelled at the guy if I was there with her. And then they did a cortisone shot on her foot and they bent the first needle because they forced it way too hard on her foot and then they grabbed another one and just kept going like they didn't even fucking care. She still has two dot scars from them. She went to another doctor out of the area and they fixed the mistakes that holland foot and ankle did, removed 3 screws that were way too long and fixed the broken metatarsal that wasn't even connected. The doctor even said to her mom "She wasn't crazy at all" about the pain she was experiencing.
