The place is really beautiful from what we were able to see. We had to rush through the exhibit of arts. We bought tickets for 8pm which was the last spot. We arrived at about 8:05 to 8:10, the doors were locked and the officer sitting in the chair at the table was sleep. We tapped on the door and no one came, so we waited. A little while later we see a group coming out a door down a little further and ask for assistance, which they tell us they're coming. About 5/10 minutes later they come open the door. At this point it's another group behind us. They inform us it takes about 1hr & 30mins to see the whole exhibit. Which is confusing because they're selling tickets for 8pm and it closes at 9. So with that we have a 30min time frame for us 3 and the party of about 5ppl behind us. The place is beautiful just needs to be organized better with better customer service. read more

I visited this location yesterday with my boyfriend and it was a cool experience. I think it would have been better if we brought our son, but for just two adults, it was not worth the $$. Granted it is not pricey, but there are other things you can do with the $ with a little more excitement. Since we are from out of town, we tried to pick a "tourist" thing to do and can't say I'm happy with the pick lol. But I will say, heather with the purple hair was amazing and very helpful! A lot of the portals and things are interactive and we didn't know which, heather made sure to show us how to utilize them and even offered to take our pictures. I purchased the vip ticket assuming there was a benefit but it was a waste of an extra $10 , don't do it just buy at the ticket booth. I went in expecting more of an artist experience but this is more for the selfie/social media crowd. The place is filled with rooms of random pictures or projector light shows. There's one room near the end that's pretty peaceful with a projection of koi fish against a wall with tranquil music making for a real serene experience. Overall it's a fun date night option or place to help get your likes up. read more

Not worth the money they charge. It was nice but for what they charge we were expecting more. Some of the interactive exhibits weren't very interactive because you didn't experience what it was designed to do as far as sound wise. Seismique is an absolute can't miss attraction for lovers of interactive art! My (all adult) family visited today and had a really fun time, and many of the families around us with kids seemed to be having a blast as well! It took us a little over an hour and a half to get through the whole thing, although I honestly could have spent more time in several of the exhibits. I particularly enjoyed the water room. As a heads up to families with small children, there is nothing keeping you from getting soaked if you stray off the (purposefully) hard to see path and one of the workers told me today that small kids almost always come out drenched. So, consider either dressing them in something you wouldn't mind getting wet (and bring a towel with you), or keep them out of the room, which is behind a door and has an attendant. Anyone who is visually impaired would probably benefit from going in with a friend or family member to guide them. My family only got a little wet, mostly from a few missteps and from the mist around our feet, but it didn't take away from our experience at all. We visited at 12:45 on a Thursday, and it wasn't crowded. We were in most of the rooms alone, didn't have to wait in line for the water room, and only occasionally had to wait for another group to finish with the room they were in before we were able to go in ourselves. We left around 2:30 and it had picked up a little bit, but still wasn't packed. So if you're planning on visiting and want to have the place almost to yourself (which is the way to do it if you're social distancing, and/or taking cute picture and boomerangs), I'd recommend getting there at 12pm when they open, on either a Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday. read more

Visited here while looking for a day like activity in Houston and it was pretty cool. The cost was 35$ for general admission which was enough. Once I arrived I was glad I did not purchase the VIP. Don't get me wrong but the exhibit was nice to look at... that's about it. I will There's a number of different rooms all formulated by hundreds (well it felt like it) of different graphic artist and artist. I enjoyed it because I enjoy art and effort so it was a nice experience. One of the rooms was like rain dripping... steer clear... I understand chlorine is used and it smells awful in there. Well... So many rooms, colors, lighting it was beautiful and definitely makes for some super cute IG worthy pictures; and who doesn't love pictures. I do not recommend this place. It was my daughter's 11th birthday so we decided to make a trip to Seismique. Half of the exhibits was closed. We payed $105 for 3 tickets (one adult, two kids), so not cheap. The place was almost empty for Sunday. After making some pictures we were told that children can't laugh because it disturbed other visitors. Well if I know this is not kids friendly place I would not go there and save a gas and money. Also there is almost nothing to do just look around the lights. Max 20 min. This place is way to overpriced. Will not come back again. read more

I loved Seismique! It was so much fun and I had a great time taking fun photos and just admiring the interactive art. I'm not one for regular museums, but this was just one of a kind in how many different rooms there were to explore and how it felt like a maze. It's a super fun date idea and there are staff stationed around the place if you need a third party to take your group picture. The parking was also abundant and not an issue at all. As a tourist, I was unsure of whether I wanted to to actually spend my short time in Houston at Seismique, but it was genuinely worth the time and money! read more

I wish the artwork had more info on who created it like when you walk through galleries but if the price was less I would recommend but it's a one and Done sort of thing. This place was better than expected, a really fun interactive experience of "hands on" art and exhibits to freely roam around and explore, take as much time as necessary. A lot of things involve touching, there are hand sanitizer stations throughout the entire thing. My only complaint was the price, at $40 a pop, it's a little pricey, it took us under an hour to see most things twice. After paying online, you receive a QR code to give to the front desk to have them scan. Front desk worker was very nice. We were provided wrist bands and then went into the exhibit. We really enjoyed all of the rooms. It is picture/video worthy. They also have a small roller skating rink, a bar, a merchandise area and food. read more

My daughter and I liked Seismique. It's very colorful and we definitely took some nice pics. It's gets 4 out 5 stars because it's pretty expensive. $35 for an adult and $28 for a kid. It wasn't even that expensive to go to the downtown aquarium and we got on rides and everything. read more

We loved our visit to Seismique as a fun, alternative evening activity! This is not just another "made for insta museum," because the rooms are interactive and there are not lines for photo-ops (though, there are some pretty awesome photo ops). The large warehouse space allows space for social-distancing and semi-privacy at individual exhibits. The cost of $35 per ticket may seem a little high, but I felt that it was worth the price. The rooms are very impressive, and the price is certainly not more than I would have spent at the bar in an evening! For those wondering how Seismique compares to Meow Wolf in New Mexico... I would say that Seismique is not (yet) as developed as Meow Wolf. There is no connectedness between exhibits or underlying story line, not as many interactive pieces, some rooms are still unfinished, and the gift shop lacks the eclectic, curated art of Meow Wolf. However, Seismique is DEFINITELY worth a visit without having to trek out to NM! read more

I would've given this art experience a 5 but for the amount of money we paid, seems like there would've been more to see. I'm not an artist and I know they are sensitive about their ish. I appreciate the creativity and creation for something like this to exist, but I feel like maybe it could've been a little cheaper. Granted we paid extra for the VIP (additional $10) to skip the line. But I'm not sure it was worth it. They tell you it will take about 2hours to compete the exhibit. It felt like 20minutes. I probably should've set a timer. The other thing is we saw several people not wearing masks once inside. Despite many workers throughout the different rooms, doesn't seem like they were enforcing it much. Or maybe they didn't see it. Either way I guess that's the risk you take being out in public in an enclosed space. They did have a max capacity and were only letting so many people in at a time which I appreciate. We had a good time while we were there. There is an app that corresponds to different rooms that lets you interact without having to touch surfaces that hundred of people have most likely touched. But there are also hand sanitizer stations throughout. We got a lot of cool boomerangs and pictures and I think it would be even more enjoy for kids. Am IG haven if you're looking to post cool pics. Overall a good experience but I'd recommend just buying the general admission ticket. read more

Brought my grandson (now 9) back during spring break and he still loves it just as much. His favorite room is still the giant hanging macrame basket (not sure what else to call it) and I had the hardest time dragging him out after a good hour and a half in that thing. It's indoors, different, reasonably safe, something for everyone of all ages. And the kids can get a little exorcise. My only suggestion is to please bring back the bubble blower machine. Grandson misses that. But we will be back. read more

Cool, different, artsy gallery with a space/creater theme. Great conversation and selfie-worth pieces. There are a few interactive attractions for kids but 'd like more for the price per ticket. I purchased 3 tickets days prior and noticed a line outside. Fortunately, we were able to get the VIP treatment and was able to skip the line, I felt bad for this and I'm not sure of the line was for customers who were walk ups. Given the type of attraction, it was hard to practice social distancing but every was required to wear a mask. The gift shop was discrete and normally priced for the occasion ($30 hoodie). There were a lot of interactive exhibits for the kids to play with, buttons to push and levers to pull that changed things in each exhibit. Their favorite was an area where it rained bubbles. I was a bit skeptical at first and didn't want to spend too much money on something i wasn't sure i was going to like but i took the chance since my wife enjoys art and museums. First of all, it is impressive when you first walk in. My daughter was blown away by the colors and lights. You get to choose your own path which is nice. Most of the exhibits offer a little something different for everyone. The interactions were a bit lack luster but maybe thats just me. The projection art and animations were my favorite.
