I have received many cold calls from companies preying on unsuspecting, small business owners. So I am used to looking them up and telling them no. Some are pretty pushy, while others are sassy. ALL of them in a rush. My main take away is PLEASE DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE YOUR DUE DILIGENCE. These companies thrive on business owner's who lack the knowledge or the savvy to quickly research their companies. So they try to rush you. Recently, I received a call from Marie Lubenow of Sekure Cost Review (Sekure Merchant Solutions) offering a FREE analysis of our credit card system. She called and asked me to send her our credit card transaction statements. She assumed that I'd mindlessly just hand over our financial information. She said she wanted the statements faxed now because she was going home in 5 - 6 min because they are on eastern standard time and there, it was the end of the day. I asked for information about her company and credentials, to which she responded she could email the info, but that it would have to wait because she was stepping into a meeting. I didn't like that she was lying, but then that made it clear that she was just rushing me. She was also talking over me throughout the conversation. The following day, I received her email. I wasn't able to read it over, but I was able to research her company. There were so many horrible reviews! 86 complaints on BBB. Then she called and I told her that I hadn't had time to read over her email, but that I'd contact her after I got a chance to do some research. Then again, she tried to rush me into sending our statements. This time it was because she only had our file for 1 more week! When I explained to her that I was not going to just hand over our financial info to someone I don't know or trust, she said they were a BBB accredited company. I told her that anyone can get accredited by BBB. She argued and talked over me and ended up hanging up on me (probably when she realized she was definitely not getting anything from me). Again, please be cautious with this company and be wary of anyone trying to rush you into anything... even a FREE analysis. read more

i just wanted to take the time that my representative took with me to resolve an issue that I was experiencing with Sekure Merchant Solutions for the past few months.. I made several phone calls to them and in the past I had been put on hold and sent from one representative to another to resolve an issue and emails sent to me but still with no closure or resolution. Not one person took the time to explain to me what I had to do to resolve the issue or took the time to listen to my problem. Until today, this is a HUGE shout out and a grateful THANK YOU to Claudia M. P. one of their most valued ( in my mind anyway) Payment Representative. Once again I had called Sekure this morning to try and resolve this issue that I was having. I was again and again transferred to another representative, this time this individual took a few minutes to listen to my issue and then said "I can help you". Ok, I thought lets try again. So we discussed the issue and Claudia listened to me and stated "I can fix this and over the next several minutes she proceeded to work this issue out. She told me she was going to put me on hold and asked If I minded being on hold. I said "not a problem I'll hold". Since she had already done more than the past representatives by listening to me I thought I had nothing to lose. Within a few minutes Claudia was back on the phone with me providing me complete instructions on how to resolve this issue. She advised me that she would be emailing me the instructions with the proper form and resolved the issue that I have been dealing with without success from other representatives. At this present time all of the necessary paperwork has been submitted back to Claudia and the resolution I requested has been provided. Now, Sekure Merchant Solutions needs to know if it wasn't for Claudia a valued employee in my eyes this issue would still be on going. Complete lack of customer service. Could not get us signed up and activated during a six week time frame. Emails and phone calls not followed up on at all. No response received after sending required documentation. Each time after two or three days I had to call them to ask if they received what I sent. I was told on one occasion that I needed to initial page 2 of a document. After following through and sending a pdf....nothing, crickets...no response. I was again forced to call and send an email to inquire if they received the initialed document. They finally replied that they did....but asked for a utility bill or signed lease agreement. I immediately sent them my signed lease since we hadn't generated a utility bill yet. Again, no response for two days until I called and emailed. Ultimately they did not get us set up in time (they had 6 weeks) for a major pre-sale event we had for one of our two fitness clubs. They were fully aware of the date we needed to be operational. We were told it would take about two weeks. Two supervisors did get involved, but it was too late to get us what we needed in time for our event...they tried. Unfortunately our customer service agents lack of interest or incompetence made it impossible for them to fix. However, even after our deadline passed we received no phone call or support from this company. We were forced to go to Best Buy and purchase a Square device, which by the way worked great. We raised several thousand in presale dollars...none of which went to Sekure Merchant Solutions or their affiliates. Interestingly, they are our Merchant Services provider for our existing fitness club. Didn't matter. They either don't care, are incompetent, or just too busy to get things done. Hoping this experience was an isolated event and not the culture of this company. Regardless, looking for another Merchant Services vendor for both our businesses. john read more

This is our 50th year in the restaurant business needless to say we've have used several credit card processors during this time, by far Sekure Merhant Solutions has been our best partner yet not only have their rates been the lowest but they have provided us with solutions to accept payments remotely and top notch equipment set and ready to go. We most recently went to them to see if they could help with online ordering and an App for our customers since there are so many providers offering this service along with varying pricing but the part I did not want to to do is let someone else process my credit card payments for that part of the business so I called our Rep Mila P and in no time she referred me to a couple of their partners for me to review, by the next day after finding the one that I felt best suited our needs within no time we were working with them developing our site and App through GiveHub/CustomAppBuild, oh and the fee is the best I've seen too. Kimberley Tibbs is just the type of person I would hire for our business. I have worked with her for the past two days attempting to change our credit card to another bank in Battle Creek, Michigan. She is the most patient representative and guided me through the process. I might add that I'm a "young" 72 year old, however, my understanding of the whole technology fields does need some additional education. Our Business is the Wattles Park Men's Club, an organization that provides youth recreation for over 5,000 boys and girls through soccer, softball, baseball, volleyball, floor hockey, lacrosse, T-Ball. Kimberly Tibbs not only sent me the proper forms to fill out but contacted me again the following day to make sure everything was going well. Unfortunately, the fax I tried to send back did not take, Kimberley again led me through another process via the iphone photos and then through the emailing process. Although the final process of changing our banking account may take up to 10 days, we are good with it. I just wanted to say how helpful and understanding he was of my small volume business andd that the extra hidden fees that had not been previously explained to me were re-explained in layman's terms where I finally understood. He was patient with me and spoke slowly and clearly so that I was respected and he listened to my concerns. He was truely one of the best sales persons that I have ever delt with and I am 68 and have delt with a lot of them. He was able to convince me to keep the device and continue with the company when I had previously resolved to close my account prior to his conversation. Despite multiple removal requests, they continue contacting you - showing disregard for your clearly stated boundaries and potentially violating telemarketing regulations that require companies to honor do-not-call requests. Their claim of "not selling anything" while clearly pursuing business opportunities is disingenuous at best. This semantic wordplay appears designed to keep you on the line longer. The representative calling back immediately after being asked to stop contacting you shows particularly aggressive behavior that disrespects your time and decision-making authority. Their email response contradicting your actual experience (claiming they haven't reached out excessively) suggests either poor internal communication or deliberate gaslighting. These tactics reflect poorly on their business ethics and respect for potential clients. I had a great experience with Gina Montenegro. She is the best!! She is the only person at your company that would even listen to my concerns and get my account handled. She was on top of everything and communicated with me every step of the way. She is great at her job. The one person that is not nor did she return any of my calls is Amanda-Liel Chavez Baumberg who is the one that signed me up. I left 3 voicemails for her and 3 emails with no response at all she just ignored me. I finally got Gina and like I said she is great at her job and gets things done. She was the only person to listen to me and get me a refund of $895.00 because I did send the equipment back within 10 days. She is amazing and very friendly and very helpful and got my refund done for me. She deserves 100 stars but I could only give her 5 stars. Just very friendly and very easy to speak to and listen to what I had to say and did not take it lightly. She took me serious. I recently had the pleasure of working with Kristen from Sekure Merchant regarding a credit card transaction that needed communication for approval with our processing bank. Kristen reached out to our corresponding bank, while I was on hold, to obtain a quick answer to our issue, and had difficulty getting through to a representative due to high call volume. Kristen was pleasant and kept me informed throughout the call. Even though Kristen was unable to complete the call with me on the telephone, she persevered until she was successful in obtaining an answer from our processing bank and called me back twice with detailed information and advised that she would check on the situation the following day to confirm all was settled. In this day and age where good customer service is pretty much null and void, my encounter with Kristen was the exact opposite. She accomplished her job until we had an answer to our question even though, through no fault of hers, it may have taken more time and effort than average. This company practices fraudulent business practices. I have many restaurants and gave these guys an opportunity after much pressure by phone to my business. They supplies pos systems that didn't work with hot spots even though I had explained to them we have stands. They said that they would take the pos Systems back and sent 3 return slips but I had 4 systems. When I requested a 4th return slip they said they would send a 4th slip but. Never did, later they said they sent to an email I don't even use. They deducted a lot of money from my bank account and when I had to change my account so they wouldn't debit unauthorized charges they sent me to collections last week almost three years later and ruined my perfect credit. Last year our credit card machine was hit by lighting, I shipped the damaged one back the next day - hand delivered to our FED Ex driver. Four months later they take $1048 out of my bank account for non-receipt of the machine. FedEx doesn't keep records longer than 120 days....called multiple times to Sekure Merchant and got no-where until I got the ultimate customer service rep - Aleksandra Radivojevic, not only was she able to negotiate the full amount back in my account from NAB but continued to follow-up to let me know the machine we had was at the end of life and a new machine would be made available free of charge. A thousand dollars is alot of money to a small business and I was super pleased with the excellent service this representative provided and continued to provide after resolving my issue! read more

I recently transitioned from Velocity Virtual Terminal to Payments Hub Virtual Terminal. I worked with Ms. Mann over the course of several days to do so. The reason it took so long was because our login information was the email address of a former employee. My company had shut down her email address a year ago. Ms. Mann was phenomenal at getting the login information changed to my email address. But for some reason, I still wasn't receiving password reset emails. Our company has been with Secure since 2005 and recently upgraded to the new model A 80 processor. We had several issues with the processing of our transactions and we finally narrowed it down to having a faulty unit.
