He arrived when he said he would and did an excellent job. Not only was he willing to go back out in the middle of the job to get an alternate light switch faceplate, he was willing to come back two days later to ensure the recessed lights he installed for us worked with the closet system which was being installed another day. We got Bryan's name from our lighting company a few years ago and we've had him over to do various electrical jobs for us including installing ceiling fans, moving several lines for our kitchen remodel, and he will be coming over Sunday to add new lines for our washer and dryer (since we are moving them). Bryan came over same day and bypassed a malfunctioning power limit unit which had disabled our heating while it was freezing outside. Contacted Bryan about replacing an exhaust fan, light switches, water heater timers and GFI switches. He is my electrician for life. Can be challenging to reach and schedule however one must be patient for quality work. This guy is in demand and I understand it now. Friendly, congenial, communicative, professional, timely, fast worker, looks to save money for customers and top notch work. Exchanged my timer for one that wasn't working at no charge. Advised me that I did not have to change out an electrical switch, offered to go to store to buy something I did not have and very resourceful. I have had Bryan out a few times for various electrical work at my house. He has always arrived on-time, professional and ready to go. This time he moved some outlets behind our TVs, ran some HDMI and hung a new light that was too high for me to reach. He is fastidious and you can tell that from his work, if it's not perfect he isn't happy and will make it right. Third time he has been out and third time he has UNDERcharged. I accidentally bought the wrong fans and he did what he could and then came back another day. He didn't get upset or frustrated by my mistake. I don't know enough synonyms for "awesome" to write this review! The ceiling fan and overhead light went out in our nursery a week before the baby was due (and this is Aug in Phoenix, people! A room without a ceiling fan is unlivable!) Brian came out a couple days later (one day before my due date!). He was on time - called when he was about 20 minutes out, which was so thoughtful! He gave us a couple options for the ceiling fan and light situation, took care of it very quickly and now we have both a working light and ceiling fan in that room! He cleaned up when he was finished (actually my OCD husband starting cleaning before Brian had a chance but he jumped in immediately and got it all cleaned up!). Also, I have read a review on Yelp that claims Brian is the nicest guy on earth, and I have to agree with that one wholeheartedly. If you are like me, you searched yelp for an electrician and found Brian due to location or reviews, but you see so many positive reviews you wonder if it can possibly be true? Can someone really be this good? The answer is a unanimous YES! Bryan recently did some work for me in a newly purchased historic home. He was excellent! He updated a fuse box with new circuits, raised a mast on our roof, cleaned up wires outside the home, added a 220 for our dryer and a few more outlets outside the home. His prices were very reasonable, but even better Bryan was extremely professional, courteous,friendly, and honest. When we were having problems with permits (and who doesn't have problems with the city) he came over twice in one day after he had finished his other jobs to do a last minute adjustment. This may not seem like a big deal but it was 105 degrees plus, and he dug a trench and did some other work that the city required just so that it would be ready for inspection the next morning. Excellent service overall. Lots of practical solutions and I never felt like he was trying to persuade me to do something that was more expensive than I needed. No scams, great work, and he doesn't talk down to you like some people do. I highly recommend him for any electrical work you need! read more

I recently had a terrific experience with Brian at Selberg Electric. I was in a pinch when another valley company canceled on my wife and I on the last days of our home inspection, and we found Selberg on Yelp. Although Brian initially informed me he was booked solid for the day, he promptly gave me the names of TWO other electricians he trusted. Not many business would be willing to send you to competition let alone two other competitors! Well the other guys couldn't help me either, apparently good electricians are hard to come by on short notice! I called back Selberg and scheduled him for a couple days out. Brian was professional and punctual on the day he came out to estimate as well as when he came back to complete the work. Once completed, he walked me through exactly what had been done and all of his work was extremely thorough. I'm very satisfied with my experience with Selberg. I had a small electrical job and called Selberg because of the outstanding ratings on this site. Bryan said he was happy to come out - they fixed the problem for a really fair price. Part of my problem was that I needed to replace my pool light. Bryan suggested that I buy the light on-line and told me how to do it - said they'd be happy to do the job but not something that is very complicated. Well, the light wire was stuck in the conduit - outside my expertise so he came out and replaced the light - again the price was really fair. I told Bryan I wanted to replace my spa light (new light was LED and much nicer) - again he gave me advice on how to do it - said he'd be happy to help but didn't think that was necessary. I was able to do the spa light myself. I have to say it is really refreshing to see a contractor that: (1) will do small jobs; (2) isn't trying to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need (Bryan re-used parts that I already had when he easily could have sold me new items); and (3) will tell you when you don't need him. Now Bryan is smart because he has my business on any electrical issue from now on - big or small - and I've given his name to several people already. I'm amazed at how few service providers really "get" customer service. This company does and I can't recommend Selberg highly enough. read more

like others on this review, i must say bryan is one of the best. on saturday morning,dec 29,2012, i went to the refrigerator and found lights off and power down. in checking other appliances, i found the coffeemaker clock was out of sync.when i turned on the tv, it started a direct tv reset. checking the circuit breaker and other outlets gave no indication other areas were affected. one circuit was involved. i checked around and came up with bryans company on google and then yelp.com. in talking on the phone explaining the situation, he mentioned having seven more jobs that day and was leaving one already. said he could be here within about 15 minutes. showed up, traced the line checking each outlet and finally went to attic where a junction box containing the line showed wire nuts off wires causing a feed back through the lines. repaired it and we were back in business within the hour. and to top it all off, he was very reasonable in his price. thanks bryan. need more companies like you. read more
