I was almost shocked and in disbelief if this place went out of business. Yes, I've been coming here for all my watches, gate and garage remotes, and my car alarm remotes for years. I come here for its convenience from home, and their fair pricing. A small flat round battery for a watch typically costs $5.00, so not a big deal given the fact that I could come in and out in five minutes if nobody was there. I love it! The owner is an older Chinese guy who's also pretty nice. It takes him 30 seconds to change my battery, verses it might take me an hour... Because I'm all thumbs. The batteries typically lasts for a year if used regularly. Not bad for five bucks. The only hard thing is finding parking on weekends. It's located inside a huge Chinese Supermarket. So I avoid this place on weekends, and will only go during the week. Yes, happy he's still around, and it's go to funky battery place!

When I saw this place I asked the guy if he had one for my particular BB. I couldn't believe the service he gave me. It was awesome. So I first asked him (in Cantonese) if he had a skin for my BB, he responded in Mandarin and asked me to go to the other side where they were located. When he asked me what color I wanted and I said black, he said "girls should use something with color. Your blackberry is a very mannish phone and it's already black, get something with color to spice it up". Since I didn't really see any color that I fancied, I kept reverting to the black. I could tell he seriously did NOT want to sell me the black. He then proceeded to bring every single color out and put them on my BB for me to see. His first suggestion was red, but since red isn't a color I ordinarily like, I passed on it. After several colors, from blue, orange, pearl, yellow, purple, green, I finally said "okay, let's try the red". Surprisingly, I liked the red (and the black) the best. I decided to get both the red and black and he seemed very pleased with my red selection. I didn't have the heart to tell him that personality-wise I'm more mannish than girlish, but I was so overwhelmed by such great service (and in SGV of all places) I felt I just HAD to give him 5 stars!!!

When I walked in, I was greeted by EDWIN who was friendly and helpful. As a woman, I was a little hesitant to ask for help with installing the filter, but he went above and beyond. Not only did he help me find the right filter, but he also installed it for me free of charge! They usually don't install but he saw I was concerned I wouldn't be able to do myself. And the best part? It only cost me $20! This kind of courteous and professional service is becoming rare, and I really appreciate it. He made the whole experience so easy and stress-free. Gave them a call and the guy was able to confirm that they have the battery that goes with my car in stock. Hurried over and was in and out in under 10 minutes. During the removal and installation of my battery, the guy was very professional. We had an easy going conversation that didn't feel force and it didn't go on too long. Treated my car with care. He even moved by driver seat back to the original position after having to move it so that he can access the area beneath the steering wheel. They offer both refurb battery or a brand new battery. So that was nice that they provided options to the customer that would best fit your budget. The battery also comes with warranty. Installation is an additional fee of $30. All major credit cards accepted. My old battery was also an Interstate Battery. Got to say, I'm pretty impressed. Used it for 7 years before it gave out. Guy told me batteries usually last somewhere between 3 to 6 years. So their slogan of "Outrageously Dependable" is pretty spot on!

Testing our batteries rather than just saying we have to purchase a new one, for me is a huge plus. When we have needed batteries they remove the old one and replace the new one within minutes. But i will not be coming back. i bought 4 batteries. One of them was defected. one of the bolts was stripped and would not tighten my cable. this battery requires a special strap to carry it. When i tried to take the battery off to return it. the strap holder broke off (lucky i did not drop it) when i took the battery back for an exchange. they would not give me one. first because they assumed i stripped the bolt. event thought it is very hard to strip this bolt without actually breaking it. The bolt stripped halfway so i could not remove my cable from the battery so i had to cut it. After like a half hour they agreed and that maybe it was defective. but that they could still not exchange it, because the strap holder was broken and that they would not be able to sell it like that. they would fix the bolt for me but it would take a day (cool) now i call the next day and Jose (manager) tells me that my battery will be ready in 2 days. mind you they have more batteries there. Now i am stuck waiting on a battery that they sold me defective. How can i break the strap holder? Most of all it was the lack of attention, and Juans (manager) unprofessional attitude. He wouldn't even get of his chair and speak to me, he just looked at me and just sat at his office. Sure there nice when they want to sell you something but when it comes down to customer service, i would have to give them minus stars on this. Never will i buy or recommend this place to anyone i know.

FYI - this location will not install your battery when there is rainy weather outside. I ordered a…read morebattery from them for in-store pickup/installation and headed to the store when the rain had stopped; once I arrived at the counter and the workers brought the battery out I advised them I needed an installation - they proceeded to ask me if my car was electric, which I answered no to, then told me they don't install batteries in the rain. I explained that my car would not start up again as I had to jump the battery to even get there so I returned the battery on the spot, which was easy enough, and advised them I would have to call AAA roadside service in their parking lot (why did I not do that to begin with?!). AAA was so much easier and even cheaper! They sold me a 3-year warranty battery, installed it on the spot (rain or shine), and it was almost $40 less than what I had just paid for a battery inside at O'Reilly...and they offer a year or two more of warranty on their batteries than O'Reilly does. Such a good deal. The AAA technician was kind and even apologized on O'Reilly's behalf for not installing the battery in rainy weather, which clearly was no fault of his. Overall, I am giving 1 star for the speediness of in-store pickup, as I received notice that it was ready about an hour after I had placed it which was good timing, and 1 more star for the good deal they had on a 5qt. jug of motor oil which I also purchased. Other than that, can't provide more or less stars as I did not deal with them other than for the return of battery and pickup of other items. Thank you.
