I explained that I was there for a return and warranty exchange, with all my receipts in hand. Instead of reviewing my issue, he immediately told me there was nothing he could do, and shifted the conversation with an attitude, emphasizing that he was the store manager. I asked for Trong to explain the situation, and while doing so, the manager openly criticized him in front of me and two other customers. Whether right or wrong, that kind of conversation should be handled privately, not in front of customers. Trong was simply doing his job and trying to help me, and it was unprofessional for the manager to treat him that way. As a paying customer with a legitimate issue, I shouldn't be made to feel like a burden. And no employee should be spoken down to publicly when they're trying to help. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off.
