I have lived with a horrible painful pinched nerve & muscle between my hip and leg for 5 years. Because I hurt so bad I would walk with a limp and my left knee would swell because of all the imbalance. Even after drs, X-rays, meds for pains, chiropractor and 2 other physical therapy companies. I could not get better. In fact I was getting worse every year. So after being referred to UC Davis sports medicine. The Dr told me he would send me to Kimes " they will get you better!" I got a referral with Dr. Julia Wright in August. Well its been 2 1/2 month. I saw Julia once a week, plus I did the recommended therapy at home. Not easy and painful, but I am now pain free and able to walk in 3" heals or sleep on my side. What a relief. Thank you Dr Julia & Thank you Kimes. I appreciate all your knowledge. When I started working with them I was severely restricted in my range of motion, but after a few months I was almost back to my pre-break range of motion. I had an exam about a year after the break, and was found to only have a 2% loss of range of motion. I'm really grateful to Brown Physical Therapy for making it possible for me to forget I ever even had a broken arm most of the time.

Before starting G and I went discussed my old issues and if any of that was still a problem, and anything new that he should be aware of, and or focus on. Old issues we worked on during my session, but started on the newer issues, which were the reason for making this recent amount. During my session G focused on new and old issues alike, using a series of different tools and practices. From cupping, to scraping (Graston) and other Istrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) to stretching and manual massage. G used a wide variety of therapeutic practices to, to help you get back and running. Overall: Great therapist, and would be sure to make my visit more routine.

I have never encountered such kindness, care, and attention as we did at SRH. From the moment he was admitted, the entire team made us feel supported and seen. Donna, the case manager, was a gift from heaven--she guided us through every step with so much compassion and clarity. Dr. Yabes and the other doctors were incredible--professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. Maria and all the nurses were beyond amazing--so gentle, patient, and dedicated. They treated my dad like family, and that meant everything during such a difficult time. Rick, the pharmacist, was also wonderful--thorough, caring, and great at explaining everything we needed to know. The Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists were the absolute best--encouraging, skillful, and deeply invested in helping my dad regain strength and independence. My dad stayed for about two weeks, and from beginning to end, our experience was outstanding. If you are considering this facility for your loved one, know that they will be in the best hands. Sacramento rehab sent my dad to an ER to sit for 24 hours as an out so they didn't have to care for…read morehim anymore. Because of infections that happened during my dad's stay they sent him away so they wouldn't have to be responsible for him. This facility doesn't want to care for or help patients that may require extra support and more tailored therapies. The nursing staff acts in a way that is unbecoming of the nursing profession. They have laughed at, made fun of, and rolled their eyes when asked for help with my dad. I came in multiple times to find my dad sitting in his own filth in tears that nobody would help him. Sitting in wheelchairs that were too short so his legs were jammed into his chest, left there unable to move in excruciating pain. Having nurses laugh at patients, drag their feet to offer hands on care, and leaving patients filthy and unable to move directly violates ethics standards set out by the Nursing Practice Act. Professional conduct should uphold patients dignity and show compassion not demean people who have gone through life changing health issues. The therapist for the most part are kind and caring. Though there are a few who have no business working with people in this type of environment (I'm looking at you Jeff). The rehabilitation aspect is the only thing I trust this facility with which is why my dad had a family member there nearly 24:7. My sister stayed over night three nights a week. The one star is for them and nobody else! Case managers are not communicative and unavailable the majority of the time. Perhaps other people have better reviews and experiences because they are not seeing the type of care their loved ones are getting. all I can tell you is be present and do not trust that these people are properly caring for those you love. If your loved one had a stroke and can't speak clearly, walk, or take care of themselves do not leave them alone here. A shiny new facility is a great distraction for the patient neglect that is happening when you aren't looking.

His doctor agrees and is very complementary of the program he put together for us. My son (11 years old) loves going, as Dr. Larrucea makes it feel more like a sports event than a clinical therapy session. He incorporates my son's favorite activities into the sessions while still accomplishing the PT goals. Dr. Larrucea is a caring, motivated therapist and I highly recommend him for ANY PT needs.

She is a fine person, but I am so disappointed in her failure to refer me to an adequate specialist. I have suffered with endocrine related issues for years that have wreaked havoc on my life in so many ways. Two years ago I begged for her to write me a referral to endocrinology, and I even had a letter from a separate medical doctor who was advocating on my behalf. She said that endocrinology couldn't help me and I was devestated. Well, now it's two years later and I have gotten a lot worse. I have new symptoms too, which drove me back to the doctor (a different PCP - not Dr Freeman) who actually ran some tests on me and found some issues related to my thyroid and sent me an urgent referral to endocrinology. I'm hoping I can get my issues sorted out soon, but I've already lost so much. I've continued to deteriorate, which has cost me -- financially, physically, and emotionally. It has damaged my reputation at work and my relationships with friends - I'm now seen as the flakey person who is unreliable because of my health. I've spent so much money on treatments that haven't worked, and have tried over the counter supplements, out-of-network doctors, ANYTHING to try to get relief, to no avail. I've also had to take so many days off work that it has maxed out my PTO, so I have to go without pay if I need to take anytime off for additional sickness or appointments. And I am still sick -- suffering different symptoms every day, and waking up in the middle of the night because of them. I've had a lot of dark thoughts and feel hopeless. I'm disappointed that Dr. Freeman couldn't refer me two years ago and I think my life would be different right now if she had done so. I hope that this experience will change her attitude going forward. Not every patient is lying about their symptoms or faking it.
