After assisting me, two employees began talking to each other about customers who speak English in Puerto Rico. They commented that if someone lives in Puerto Rico, they should speak Spanish, and questioned why people speak English if they already know Spanish. These remarks were made while I was standing there and appeared to be directed at me. I found their comments unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate for customer service employees. Customers should feel welcome and treated with courtesy regardless of whether they choose to communicate in English or Spanish. Puerto Rico is a bilingual community, and no customer should feel judged or mocked for the language they use. I hope management addresses this issue and reminds employees to treat all customers with respect and professionalism.

Finally, they are some of the few grocery stores that not only carries commercial puertorrican coffee, but also artesian coffee, which is sometimes hard to find. This store is very comparable to your average grocery store in the US. Lots of fresh produce, bakery, and all the typical items you would normally find in a grocery store. They have a really nice café, my boyfriend loved the coffee he got, and I especially enjoyed my hot chocolate, as they make it with coconut milk which gave it a really wonderful flavor. We stopped back to Ralph's several times during our stay, always finding what we needed at a great price. We even stocked up on a few items to bring home as souvenirs! I would highly recommend!
