Wow, I thought I had made a review for Desiree already. Seems like it got stuck in draft and I…read moredeleted it. Well, here goes... Back in 2018 I started working out with a new personal trainer. I don't want to put him on blast but we skipped warming up. We would just start our workouts cold. I didn't think too much about it and the workouts were intense - until a week in and I couldn't walk anyone. It went beyond soreness, I literally got a burning pain in my left butt that went all the way to knee whenever I would move. Turns out I got a bad case of sciatica. At least 1/3 of the population will probably get this at some point in their life but there are levels and I got a BAD level of sciatica. I went to see two different chiropractors. I had to get a friend to drive me because I couldn't drive. After spending all that money on two different doctors the results were the same. No change. I saw a doctor and he gave me muscle relaxers. They did nothing. I found out that because our state has an opioid problem doctors are hesitant to prescribe the really good relaxers to people. They gave me the weak ones, ugh... I also went to two massage therapists for them to work on my back and leg. They tried but really weren't qualified for this kind of condition. It actually got worse after I went to the 2nd one. I found Desiree by Googling "sciatica Tampa." I was actually looking for another chiropractor that specialized in it but I saw that someone else had went to her for a similar case. It wasn't as bad as mine but her symptoms were close enough to me that I thought maybe it could work. Unlike the others, Desiree knew exactly what to do. She had dealt with sciatica and really acute forms of back pain before. I won't lie, the first couple sessions were painful. Oh my gawd! I was clinching the table especially when she put her elbow in my left buttocks where the problem started. For any of you wondering the problem exists because the piriformis muscle is inflamed and pushing on your sciatic nerve that runs through to your leg. She had to loosen it up but boy did it hurt like heck. The problem also makes your quad twitch like crazy and she loosed that up as well. That, with the cups she does, healed my sciatica after about 3 sessions. At that point I could walk. I kept going back until all the problems had ceased. I also found out that Aleve (not ibuprofen) is great for cutting down the the inflammation. Anyway, I keep going back to her. She is great at all types of massages and now Desiree is the only one I'll see. She's a true massage therapist. Not only fresh outta massage school. Look at her training and you'll see she's certified in an additional 7 types of modalities. So that let's you know she took additional classes to become really good. My back is always tight because I have scoliosis. It's not severe but just enough to always make my back super tight. So I get massages 2x per month. I have been to so many massage therapists in Tampa but I can honestly tell you she is one the best. I would go more but she's located in upper Carollwood which is far from me.

Desiree is a fantastic therapist! I would recommend her to anyone! If you're in pain and need…read morerelief or if you just want to relax, she's the one!
