I was here last week for bronchitis & while it's still lingering, I call it the Baby Seal btw, but I left feeling relaxed & a bit better. I took the recommended herb twice a day but the Baby Seal is stubborn & still accounted for. What I will say is this, my experience with acupuncture & at this location has been wonderful & I know it will significantly limit my down time. Western medicine is a lot of prescription medications & I usually do multiple rounds of antibiotics, steroids, etc. Eastern medicine reduces downtime & no prescription medication. It treats me as a whole person. Dr Kim is fabulous & I appreciate how he really listens & gets to the heart of what is happening. I am constantly amazed by this place. At first I thought maybe it was psychological that what I needed the pain was just gone! I couldn't wrap my brain around the fact that I can hurt myself and he does needles and a light for 20 minutes and the next morning I feel great. He positions them differently for each area/ injury but still. My son had a neck pain for 2.5 months. I finally got him to go here and in one session his pain was gone!! My husband hurt himself playing basketball and thought he tore his rotator cuff and he drags his feet but finally agreed to go in... all better. I don't understand it all but I don't care. I'm trying to remember sooner that I don't need to deal with pain. Just call and make an appointment. The most I've ever waited for an appointment is maybe 4 days. I've been to get acupuncture before. All through like chiropractors but honestly convinced it was just a scam. There is something different about this guy. He's absolutely amazing. read more

With a background in the holistic health and energy medicine field, I have been to many different types of practitioners. I've been seeing Andrew Bosun Kim on and off for nine months. However, after even just one treatment, I benefited greatly. Andrew is diligent, honest, hard working, ethical, very knowledgeable, and quite skilled. Unlike other specialists, he spends a good bit of quality time with each client to assess his/her needs. He's open to questions. And his needling technique is good. For the most part with me, unless the area he's working on is really congested, the needles don't hurt, there's only mild discomfort (if any). What also impresses me about Andrew is his attitude toward all his clients. He truly cares. He wants us to get better. He's very humble (overly modest, in my opinion), which is why he wants me to call him by his first name. No hierarchical "I'm better because I'm the know-it-all doctor" mentality! He never, ever pushes me to make unnecessary appointments. And he's very reasonably priced: his motivation is to help, and he is here to serve. This compassion informs his attitude and everything he does. I find this rare in a practitioner. When I first saw Andrew, I was in a very weakened state due to a longstanding illness. My liver was struggling from the infection, my life force was extremely low, my digestion was shot, and my entire body hurt. Plus, I had some injuries. Andrew has proven as adept with deep-seated conditions as he is with muscle sprains. For my first visits, Andrew's office was only about 12 minutes away from my home. Now that I've moved, he's almost 45 minutes away. But I still go to see him; it's well worth the trip. I unhesitatingly recommend this lovely man as a healer. For three months, I was experiencing a radiating pain along my sciatic nerve. To add insult to injury, I recently sprained my glute muscle on my morning run. I was severe pain and wanted immediate relief that didn't involve medication. I knew acupuncture was the way to go. I have only had acupuncture once in Arizona, and the healer I went to was far away in North Scottsdale. I made a quick run to Walgreens on Dobson Road and Chandler Blvd in Chandler. I've been dependent on ambien for past 9 years. In December I had to up dose significantly and was only getting 1-2 hours of sleep. After the second session and herbs I got 4 hours of consecutive sleep. My sleep has increased and I'm now able to partially wean myself from ambien which is extremely addictive. I recently had an initial treatment with Dr. Kim primarily for nausea and vomiting related to my pregnancy. He was kind, considerate, pleasant, and personable. He was cautious in my treatment plan (which I appreciated) as he wanted to make sure to protect my pregnancy. I went to Mr. Kim for my first experience with acupuncture and though his needle work was good I found his personality lacking. He did not talk about acupuncture at all and was very non informative about his philosophy. After my treatment he forced Chinese herbs on me without any explanation at all and wanted to me to come in multiple times a week. When I told him I could not afford the herbs he said I could pay next time and was very pushy about me taking them without telling me why. I went by his office the next day and dropped off the herbs. Over all I found Mr Kim's attitude very like doctors who just perform procedures and don't talk to their patients and only fake that they care. His prices were normal for acupuncturists in the area and I was not impressed by his office. I will be looking elsewhere for acupuncture treatments and would not recommend him for people new to acupuncture or for people who want an acupuncturist who knows the value of communication. He also does not take a holistic approach since all he asks about are your basic medical problems and does not ask about family history, diet or lifestyle. As I said Mr Kim is very much like the doctors who care more about the procedure and not understanding or communicating with the person. read more
