We found that interviewing contractors for the job was stressful: costs were not disclosed up front and none gave us the feeling that we could trust them to deal with us fairly. So, it turned out to be a welcome pleasure to deal with Broadway Kitchen and Bath's owner, Jeff Chinman. From the beginning, he was honest and forthcoming about all aspects of the renovation. He really is a gem: a NYC vendor for many years who really has the customer's best interests in mind. While the showroom is unimpressive, it turns out that everything ordered through them turned out to be of good quality and reasonably priced. As various unexpected expenses were incurred, additional charges were also handled in a fair manner. At times when another contractor might have taken the easy way out on some aspect of the job, we found that Jeff would listen to our concerns and would try to find a solution that would satisfy us. No cutting corners! The two associates who were assigned to our job were terrific: Jimmy and Oscar. They managed to be as unobtrusive as they could be (e.g., cutting wood out on our balcony even in the bitter cold to minimize dust and noise). Would I hire them again? YES, absolutely. Did they meet expectations? YES, over and above.

The cabinets hold an amazing amount of weight, clean up really easily, and look fabulous!!! Due to bad walls in our apartment, I was concerned that the cabinetry wasn't anchored in properly. They certainly didn't have to do anything all these years later, given that it was the wall that was the issue, but they sent an installer who completely removed the cabinet, and re-installed just to be sure. Talk about standing behind your product!!!! I can't imagine not wanting to use them. Can't recommend highly enough!

After he and his partner took some measurements he said he would get back to us with an estimate. A few days later he texted us with samples of his work and design options for our own job. His attention to communicating with us was top notch and we appreciated his focus on detail, as well as being flexible when we made some changes to the original design. When ready, he sent us a picture of what he had designed and we set up a time for installation. When it came time for installation, he and his partner were punctual, asked us to look over the placement of the railings for our approval before completing the job and then completed the installation neatly and professionally.
