Bartlett teachers, staff, students, and parents are all wonderful. Everyone works together to create a great elementary school experience.

So it's been a while since my initial review, and there have been changes many amazing, some…read moredisheartening . I now have children in the Elementary and one entering the High School. The Good Pinecrest still provides an exceptional academic program. I've had very open and transparent interaction with teachers and staff (family oriented). Looking at the schools data/ scores and the progress of my own children, I can attest to the success they have in providing an educational experience that can not be matched by the Public School System. It is rigorous and requires students do the work. Success at Pinecrest is dependent on what students and parents put in. Infinite Campus is updated and I appreciate being able to see what they are working on and when they will be assessed. It helps me keep track of my kids assignments and provide guidance as needed. If your student needs help, just ask. They have a system of support that is very student centered. The school is modern and progressive. They expose students to the technological advances needed to prepare them to be competitive as they enter college and workforce. Additionally they frequently have Guest Speakers, various Community Organizations, Events (very active PTA), Field Trips, all coveted opportunities that gives students exposure to every thing from Entrepreneurship, Career Exploration,The Arts, Community Building the list goes on. The programs for Middle School and extracurricular activities offered are top tier in my opinion. I am supper excited by the addition of the High School Career and College Tracks offered to the students. Pinecrest covering the majority of associated cost. Leaving High School with a Diploma, Certification or degree/ credits is a valuable opportunity. The Bad As Pinecrest has expanded there has been a very noticeable change in negative student behaviors. Bullying, Racism, and Mental Healthl issues have marred the appeal of the school. These issues in my experiences unfortunately have not been limited to students. However, when I've reached out I have almost immediately response and have recieved swift action. Once again, parental involvement is needed in addressing these issues and proactively seeking meaningful resolutions. I also feel Pinecrest needs to revamp how they set and enforce expectations when it comes to behavior. Most students there appreciate all that the achool offers. They come in ready to learn and engage in all the benefits the school provides. However, there are some that disrespect the learning environment continuously contributing little to the overall environment of the school. This is simply not acceptable. It does not go with the core values and goals of the school. More needs to be done to support the teachers in the classroom so that they can teach without distractions. Overall, our time at Pinecrest Cadence has been good. While like any other school there are issues, the overall value provided is still exceptional. I hope that as the school continues to grow they continue putting student success at the healm. Creating an environment where all students feel seen and valued.

I thought long and hard before writing this review, but something had to be said. My child and I…read morewere extremely happy when she got selected for a seat at this campus. I have known parents who have sent their kids here and have had a good experience (for the most part). We are into the second week of the new school year & I am already unenrolling my child because we found a new school that was a better fit socially and academically. Please do not send your child here if they require any kind of assistance. To start the IEP teacher reached out to me before the school year to set up a meeting with is standard and missed both of our meetings, didn't return my emails for weeks. The school did not provide my child the accommodations as outlined in their IEP, which is against the law. Moving forward, they refused to provide an elective aside from study hall because they claimed they were at capacity with every other elective. My child got dress coded twice in the first week. Once for a skirt that was in their section at the uniform store 2nd because her skirt had buttons on it and it wasn't a plain khaki skirt in their words. Upon arriving to the open house and explaining to the teacher the accommodations outlined in the IEP the teacher stated that she wasn't allowed to use her accommodations in her room because she shouldn't have to explain to the other kids why my child was so special. The school had a food truck outside during their lunch break and refused to provide my child and my child's friend anything because they said and I quote "they didn't look underprivileged" what does under privileged look like? The best way I can describe this school is like a military school, which is extremely disheartening because we were excited about becoming a part of the Pinecrest family. If your child has an IEP or requires learning environment that fosters their needs, DO NOT send your child here! The only reason I gave them a one star is because I couldn't give them a zero and make this review. It is our job's as parents to fight for our children's education to ensure that they are being met with all of the tools that they need to be successful. This school discriminate against anybody who is different. Please read all of the reviews before making your decision. Start with the one stars and work your way up if all of them have the same common theme it's safe to say they're the problem!

We were struggling with my 7-year old daughter, who was exhibiting severe social and behavioral problems and getting suspended from 1st grade on a consistent basis. Susan explained the science behind Brain Balance and touted her 30 years of experience in Child Development. In that consultation, she insured that our daughter would be working with professionals that had experience similar to hers. She also insured that her staff would be working directly with my daughter's teacher and the school's administration to develop a customized plan for her needs so that all of us could collectively be on the same page. Being that we were in an extremely vulnerable state, I felt like this might be a way to help our daughter. Boy, was I wrong. The services at Brain Balance were absolutely nothing as they were described. The lessons that she attended at the center were a complete joke. The instructors are extremely young, clearly have no experience in child development. I don't see the point of touting your 30-years of child development experience if you have no intention of ever actually working with the kids yourself, but I found that this is a strategic part of her sales pitch. The most critical reason for me working with Brain Balance was the work they said they were going to do with the school and her teacher. Danielle was the person in Susan's office that was supposed to be working with my Daughter's school. I was told that they would be reaching out to her school right away to begin setting up meetings. Two weeks later, my daughter had been suspended 2 more times. I called Danielle and begged her to please make this a priority. So, she called and coordinated a time to meet with my daughter's teacher. On the day of the meeting, Danielle did a "no-call/ no-show" on my daughter's teacher. And she still hadn't made any effort to reach out to the Principal, who she also assured me she would meet. When I asked Susan what was going on, she said that Danielle forgot about the appointment because she was busy. So, instead of actually making it all happen, all Susan did was call her teacher and have a pointless 20-minute conversation asking her questions that we had already covered in our initial consultation. It's about this time that I'm beginning to feel like I have been completely ripped off of my money. TOTAL COST OF THE 18-MONTH PROGRAM: $10,900 FEE FOR INITIAL CONSULTATION: $295 (In addition to the $10,900) PAYMENT TERMS: The entire program was to be paid, in full, within 6 months. As part of the 6-month payment option, they required $3,270 as a down payment, then she would charge 6 equal installments for the remaining balance. SHE'S TRYING TO KEEP THE ENTIRE 6-MONTHS OF TUITION WHEN WE WERE ONLY THERE A MONTH AND A HALF: I cancelled after my daughter had attended 15 sessions because this was a colossal waste of time and money and I have been fighting a dispute to get my money back for over 6 months. (CAUTION: There's a reason they require so much up front!!!) To provide a comparison for you, I have since moved my child over to a licensed psychiatrist who charges us $150 per month. There wasn't a down payment at all or any additional fees that could prevent us from seeking alternative methods for my child, should we find that she isn't the best fit for her, like we experienced at Brain Balance. The results have been astounding in a very short amount of time with the licensed professional. Trust me when I tell you, I know how vulnerable you are right now and how awful it is to be going through this with your child. This place will prey on those vulnerabilities. For your family...seek other alternatives. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what we have.

I thought it was interesting that she said wow. Now looking back she was being very condescending. She sent a Calendly for the second interview, so I selected the 1 PM slot on the day of the interview just about 30 minutes before an email arrived from another woman, let us call her McK, who said you are invited for the second interview but it was for 8 AM the next day and not a single mention about the upcoming interview at 1 PM. However, the fact that she scheduled me for 8 AM without even asking about my time availability was kind of inconsiderate. I still showed up for the 1 PM interview but it was a no show and no response when I emailed her about me waiting in the room and asking if we were still scheduled. I left after waiting for 15 minutes and then showed up for the 8 AM interview the following day but again a no show. I emailed again to see if everything was ok. I was being very polite and even tried to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking there was a mix up, but the fact that they never responded to my emails asking about the interview time or if the schedule had changed was very confusing and frustrating to me. I even emailed the first woman, Cor, who initially interviewed me, but no response from her either. The following day I received a generic email from them saying they have moved on with another candidate. In summary, if this is the way they treat another human being who never did anything wrong to them, then I would stay away from them and avoid this company completely.

I have a son who is a late bloomer and I tried going to the principal and asking to hold back my son they refuse to do so and told me he has autism. My son is on the spectrum understandable but if he is function and sitting and focusing why is it a problem? The IEP sucks they don't acknowledge issues and my son gets bullied a lot in the self contained classroom he has gotten slapped, had a goose egg bump on his head from a toy being thrown and named called. They also let the kids have tablets! This year supposly they are blocking YouTube kids but haven't seen it yet! My son tells me he's so smart he gets done before anyone else and he think the class is too easy they only play dance sometimes do worksheets that are preschool! They passed him on to 3rd grade with out knowing all his ABCs and told me he was on a specific plan for the IEP and that he goes at his own pace! I brought in my BCA from proud moments Aba therapy because yes I have to go there too by court order. She saw the classroom and sat in the IEP she was not impressed and caught a lot of mistakes in the IEP hour sheets. The BCA suggest I switch schools I brought that letter to court with recommended schools and the judge said nope because my BCA said Pinecrest was fast paced which I couldn't explain to my judge because they don't let you speak unless you represent yourself which is automatically a no win against another attorney. So no school will dare write you personal letters on what you need far as a letter stating the IEP is transferable so the judge Dept Y laughed and threw the book at me and didn't care about the BCA emails! She didn't care to sworn me in either to tell her the BCA recommended tutoring and I put him in Kumon and held in back in Pinecrest enrollment but justice system here is again the biggest joke! Anyways going back to this school teacher is sweet but I feel not attentive as one should be how in 3 years do we struggle not knowing the ABC and my son can remember my phone number and my x husband New York phone number in a month from his ABA center! In the begining of this special needs education I asked to sit in or help out in the classroom they let me volunteer but against a wall not in the class room and told me they can't let me in the classroom. I wrote a letter to the state board with help of an advocate school attorney and magically they where going to let me in because you have rights a a parent to sit in for so many hours. But now just yesterday they tell me oh if you want to scheduale a visiting time for 30 mins and the principal will sit in with you , you can scheduale that. No thank you I know how it's runned this school. The ladies in the office are catty and you can feel this vibe coming off! They send your kid home when he's sick for no reason they hear a cough or a kid saying I don't feel good and they give me a call to pick him up but I actually don't mind this one because I teach him more at home in my opinion. Kids in his self contained special needs classroom have bullied my son or had behaviors that hurt my son and they just say oh well we documented it but that's all we can do. They won't graduate my son to regular gen ed class because he's so behind it sad because he's just falling more more more behind it's like they have a preschool regiment and he wants to learn so much but they won't push. It's basically daycare in the special needs. He's graduating his Aba therapy very soon and i find it this school is pushing him farther back. It's wild when I bought my home school rating was 9/10 now it's 7/10 it's going down.
