We had a great time bowling with the boys! We've been a few times. They loved it so much they keep asking when we can go again. The bumper pads make it perfect for kids (and for me too!), and we share a lighter ball so we all can enjoy it. The staff is always friendly and quick to help if you need anything. I did with the vending machine. Very kid friendly. Be sure to bring socks, but if you forget, they have a machine where you can purchase some. read more

They never answer the phone directly so Don't bother calling again and again, just leave a message and they will return it. While I do prefer to patron Sunrise, Seminole lanes isn't the worst I've seen either. They are understaffed but as a previous business owner I can see this issue is likely occurring because they have no factual flow to their busy times. American hate to wait lol so this can present issues as it did on our last trip there. Shoes are mostly nice here so that's a plus and drinks aren't horrible or even horribly overpriced. There is a sizable game room but games seemed overpriced to me. Kids loved it. All in all it's a great place to go have a nice time with friends or family but expect to have some delays during the game or wait times for other reasons and expect to shell out a good amount of dough for the games. read more

They have plenty of balls to choose from and the shoes were relatively comfortable for bowling shoes. They have music videos playing throughout. Easy computerized system to keep track of bowling score. There's parking in the front and the back. They are open till midnight during the week and 1am Friday and Saturday nights. This is a huge bowling alley, sixty lanes. Now the problem with sixty lanes is figuring out the magic formula to match staffing with customer demand. We've run into this issue several times when going here, where unexpected demand shows up, but there aren't enough staff to have all the lanes open, so there's a long line and waiting list while also visibly open lanes. This makes people who have no idea what it takes to keep the equipment operating frustrated, as they stand in line or are told to wait when they just see "open lanes". We've also had issues where malfunctions occur like balls or pins stuck / not returning, and it can take 5+ minutes for service. Fortunately if it occurs more than a few times, they've never had an issue adding time to the hours we've purchased to make up for the stoppages, but it still requires going and asking at the front desk, and that can be complicated if there's a long line of people who think you're cutting them. There's an app you can load on your phone to connect to their tablets and track your scores; it's very handy and automatic. Only issue is while you can load photos on the app, they never seem to make it to the live game, so not sure what the point is. You have to take photos on their tablet if you really want them to work. Anyway, couple other nitpick items: * They have an 'arcade', but it's more games of chance than actual arcade games; i.e. lots of claw games, throwing balls games, dropping something in a bucket type games, all to earn tickets, rather than actual fun video games. Also, for parents, the arcade has external doors, so it's not ideal compared to forcing everyone in that area to come and go past the front desk and a whole bunch of people. * Their website makes no mention of their hours, so good luck knowing when they open and close. * Their pricing "includes" equipment rentals, which really just means those with their own equipment subsidize the cost of rentals for everyone else as it's baked into the pricing. * They have one of the best pro shops in the Tampa Bay area, Bev's. You wouldn't know that though because they make no mention of her shop on their website or in the phone prompts. Her shop is one of the reasons I like bowling here, and it would bring in business if everyone knew about it, so it just seems odd they don't take advantage of that. * They never answer the phone. However, if you leave a message about lane reservations, they do actually call back promptly, so don't frustrate yourself calling over and over and over, just call, leave a message, and they'll call you back. Overall, I've been much happier at their sister location Sunrise Lanes in St Pete. Smaller location, but just make a lane reservation and you'll be in great shape. The staff at Sunrise are awesome, including the restaurant and the bar. They bring the food right to your lane, the drinks are great, beer pitchers are reasonably priced, just a great overall experience at Sunrise. read more

Great experience with Seminole Lanes! I was trying to plan a bowling outing for a group of 5-6 on a Monday night. I called around to 5 different lanes in the area. Seminole was the only one that had open bowling on Monday. Not only that, but you can reserve a lane. It was $90 plus tax (around $96) for up to 6 people for 2 hours including shoes. Awesome! When you reserve, you actually have until 2 hours before the reservation to pay. I filled out the form online and they called me to discuss details. I ended up talking to two separate people. After the first phone conversation, I wanted to confirm with my group before booking and paying. The next day, I received a second phone call and I was ready to book. The entire process was easy and customer service was great. When we arrived, I gave my name and we had a lane waiting for us. Our reservation was for 630pm, but we had a few people running late. They let us start a few minutes later. We had a blast! We were able to bowl 3 games. The bowling alley is large. It was clean and had a lot of extra features. There were tons of arcade machines and other areas. There were two different counters with food. You can order the food from a kiosk. I ate before going, but my friend said it was expensive. This is definitely one of the better bowling alleys that I have been to. I was surprised because it does not look like much from Park Street. I would recommend it! read more

Fun place, tons of lanes, and their scoreboard makes emoji faces- which was fun for the kids. The bowling shoes are uglier than normal and they charge by the hour, which wasn't great for us. Biggest bowling center I've been to so far, with sixty lanes of bowling! We came on a Saturday evening. It was crowded, as expected. They had cosmic bowling on the left half of the bowling center, normal bowling on the right. The reason why I'm giving this four stars is because of the oil pattens, which were quite heavy and slick my bowling balls didn't really hook much. However, if it weren't for my little cousins, that bowled with me I would've given this place three stars. I had a good time, aside from the slick oil conditions. Maybe I'll come back the next time I come down and visit family here in St. Pete. This place has terrible customer service and lane conditions. My wife and I were there on June 27 for the state tournament. Her brand new ball was damaged by the ball return. It was gouged. We left the ball there to be repaired and the manager said it would be shipped back to us since we live about 3 hours away. My wife gave them her name, phone number and address to send the ball. About the middle of last week, which was a week and a half later, my wife the pro shop there at Seminole Lanes. The lady there said she repaired the ball the next day, June 28, and gave it back to the front desk. After several calls of not being able to get anyone to answer the phone, I finally got in touch with a manager on Friday July 9, who who checked and verified that the ball was at the counter waiting to be picked up by us. After explaining the situation, she said she would make sure the ball was sent out on Monday July 12. She also said she would contact us to verify that was shipped. On Tuesday July 13, we still hadn't heard from her or anyone else so I called back. The manager did not answer her phone so I left a message.... no return call. Big surprise there. On Wednesday July 14 I called again and talked to Cory. He said the ball was shipped out yesterday by the corporate office. I'm guessing that was after I called the manager who didn't answer and she got the message. Now it's Tuesday July 15. No ball and no-one at the "corporate office" which is at Seminole Lane is answering the phone. It's been 3 weeks the week with my wife not being able to use her new ball. I'm about to call an attorney to get my wife's $180 bowling ball back. That will cost them much more than poor customer has so far. Oh, I mentioned the lanes were terrible, too. It was hot in there and the lanes were dryer than a popcorn fart. Needless to say we will never return to that place unless it's absolutely necessary. read more

After careful inspection during mid COVID-19 review tcc critics have rated this establishment at a 100% failure in controlling COVID-19 in their business. All entrance doors state that masks are required but only a few people wore masks. Social distancing was at a failure rating for no enforcement. Bathrooms cleaned to below average standards. Staff however do wear masks and follow guidelines. After tcc inspected the cleanliness of the alley as a whole we found it to be at an OK rating barely passing. Food is small and expensive. A glass of wine is $8 and a rum punch in a small plastic cup was $11. A bucket of beer is $22. Basically don't plan to drink much there unless you want to pay a $100 bar tab, not counting a $30 buffalo chicken pizza. Galactic bowling is the most expensive of everywhere around me at $20 a person. My husband had his brand new ball damaged and they offered to fix it. We denied their offer and brought it to our local shop we can trust. I don't recommend this place especially if you plan on drinking expensive booze and paying too much for less than average food. My experiences at Seminole Lanes have been wonderful! Everybody that works there has been nice and helpful. This sounds minute, but the bathrooms are really well kept and modern-looking. No complaints about the food...they have mini corn dogs and fries etc. They serve liquor here as well- it's not your 5 star bar, but it's got the basics. My only "complaint" is that the pool tables are a little small. Other than that, there's plenty of parking and a real fun time. Take the kids, gather friends, and just have fun here! Hello everyone I am here to give my thoughts about my experience on Seminole lanes. We decided to go on a date night so we ate and came here first so that we didn't eat anything bad like nachos. We check in and the prices were like 11 dollars per game and if you waited till 9 it was 11 for unlimited games. I thought it was a bit pricy but my boyfriend didn't mind paying for the game. We got our shoes and they were way overworn I was not pleased wit that but I noticed they all looked like that. They did have a vast amount of choice with the bowling bowl. I Chose an 8 but should have done a 6. My boyfriend chose a 10 and 11. Obviously he is a lot stronger . The set up was the usual bowling lane look but the tables had a lot of room to spread food and things out on. The lanes were kept clean and it glowed in the dark after 9 pm. After we were done we decided to check out the arcade which was small by had some recent games. We decided to play guitar hero and a hunting game. I felt it was pricy for the guitar hero because you didn't have child of all songs and you had to pay extra for more songs. Overall it was a good experience and I had fun. This bowling alley was nice! It appeared to have been newly renovated! I am visiting my grandmother who is on a bowling league based out of these lanes and I'm glad to say they are nice! There were 60+ lanes and were keeping one lane in between each of the league games not only due to COVID but because that was the guideline for their league. The lanes were freshly oiled, you could see the machine going down a few of the lanes. The balls could use an update, I cut my finger on one of the house balls but that could also been due to inexperience. Will gladly return when I visit again. read more

Seminole Lanes is your typical bowling alley. There is nothing spectacular about this one in particular, but it is clean and fairly up to date. The prices are pretty comparable to most other bowling alleys I've been to. The shoes are a bit worn out but I suppose that's to be expected of most bowling alleys. One of the best bowling places I have visited. Maybe the best in Saint Petersburg area! My kids (5 and 7) are simply in love with this place. Great place to be with family and friends, great place for any kinds of "lets have a bowling party" crazy ideas - for kid's birthday party, and for adult late night bowling, for romantic evening with girlfriend and even with your own wife :).... People are very friendly, with good soul and right spirit. Girls and guys who work at this place always make you smile them in return for their goos service, jokes.. The place priced right, not cheap and not super expensive. Food is good, nice bar, plenty of arcade games for kids as well. This place may be crowded from time to time, but they always have available lines, 60 lines in total so it is a one real bowling place. The real fun to play with black light at late evenings.... Bartender Lindsey should not be in the service industry. Complete power trip refusing service to a completely sober person. Had a horrible attitude all night with everyone in our 12 person party and then my wife gave it back to her and refused service and called the front desk "security" which said she's gotten multiple complaints. Had an amazing time bowling and wow, the arcade is pretty terrific looking! Seating is comfortable and everything is new. The pizza shop looks great and the pizza was really good, nice atmosphere. I would rather be giving credit where credit is due, but I have not been so disappointed as tonight, in a long time. My daughter and I thought bowling would be a fun option. I expected to pay quite a bit for one hour of bowling for two, and grab a bite to eat for her. The food was the disappointing part, she ordered a soda, chicken tenders and a large fry, that came to $25. The chicken tenders were three of the smallest little things in a tiny cardboard tray, it had no weight to it when you picked it up. the fries were also a tiny little bit, in a bigger cardboard tray, but cold. We will never go back there again, I am so sick of being ripped off at places, but this place takes the cake. read more

Also we got there two hours before close and they were already closing all the concession stands and had last call so if you get thirty when you bowl bring your own drinks or you will die of thirst. This place is gorgeous. There are 60 lanes and everything looks brand new. Tons of seating. Pizza place, arcade, concession, pro shop. I don't know who picks the music, but someone else should do it. It definitely sucks. Super depressing. Also, one of the head guys that walks around comes off as totally snooty and approachable. He needs to fix that too considering the business he's in. The bowling center itself is very nice and clean. However, the approaches on the lanes are some of the worst I've ever bowled on. I'm giving this a one star. This is actually the nicest bowling alley in the area, however, this is my third time here in 3 months as I write this review. I'm here right now. Just got moved to 3 different lanes. Their lanes always have issues and either screw up your score and/or just have problems in general. This is also the 3rd time out of 3 times here I've had this exact issue. Get your sh*t together, for the amount of money you charge for this place. Liberty lanes is the best alley in the area cause it's half the price for unlimited bowling. This alley does not have deals. Liberty lanes is almost always full. So I'm stuck going here. I try to avoid this place at all costs (due to the actual cost and errors via bowling I've had here). I never write bad reviews either but this place has taken so much money from me. I bowl here sporadically and I've never had a problem before. But tonight, my GF her friend and I selected this location because they advertised "galactic bowling" until 12:30 on their website. They raised the lights and ended galactic bowling at midnight. When I asked the front desk worker about it he said they were usually empty by this time. He continued to inform me that they would shut the lanes of 10 minutes prior to close. I have no problem with either of these practices by themselves. That being said, please update your website to reflect your actual business practices. I know claims of false advertisement would seem hyperbolic at the moment so I'll stop prior to that. Went twice within the last couple weeks, (getting back into bowling). Both times the alley is open until Midnight and we bowl on Thursday (day off) so we purchased the two games and shoes for $8. The first week, our second game ended at about 11:20. We went up to buy another and said they were closing up since it was just us and another group playing, and if it isn't busy, they close early. Okay, I can understand that. The second week, our second game ended around 11:10. We went up to buy another game, they refused. They said that it would take too long and we couldnt. We looked around and we saw about 5 other groups playing, we asked if we can do a speed run and we will leave when the others did. Refused once again. We left and went to Liberty Lanes. Cranked out four games in up until 1250. Never going back to Seminole Lanes. read more
