Lanes are wavy and very dry so very tuff to bowl on and the ball returns damage your ball. In need of a serious rebuild.

Nice and Clean lanes , enjoy the couch set up , however the computer systems were a little wonky and weren't adding scores correctly . Arcade is nice and big , large selection of food . We hadn't been to Sunrise Lanes for a while, but our local bowling alley has been under construction for the better part of a year. We were nicely surprised at the fairly newly renovated place. You can make a lane reservation in advance with a deposit and a set bowling time, but we chose to show up and take our chances. At 6:30PM on a Friday, the place was mostly empty, and we had no problem booking a lane for 2 hours. When we were leaving, the place was packed. We chose to eat there. We ordered a pizza and a salad. The pizza crust was pretty good, but the sauce had too much oregano, and the toppings were pretty sparse. The salad was very generic (I told my husband not to order salad at a bowling alley!!!). There are touchscreens scattered throughout for ordering, and the staff brought us our food and drinks. There's a full bar. We got Don Julio on the rocks as well as some beer. I don't think the bar area has been updated, or if they did, they chose extremely retro decor. But the bar staff was nice and remembered my orders when I returned for a second round. The alley has been updated since our last visit (5 years ago). The seating is very nice and comfortable. The lanes still didn't feel even, but that's pretty common (at least locally). Prices are not as low as they used to be, probably because of the fancy updates. But they are still reasonable, similarly prices as a night at the movies, and our kids were moving around the whole time, which was nice. We'd happily return. Tonight we went to have a couple of drinks and to try the place . Worst idea ever !. The Bartender named Lily , was a very rude person . One of our drinks wasn't made right , and she confronted us about it in a very rude way ! . After that we were trying to give the place a chance and started to play pool . The situation it stared to get worse and worse after she went to the food court at the same establishment obviously talking about us and we the rest of the employees looking at us like we were criminals . After that, a guy that worked there ( obviously) and because we saw him talking to her before and then he started to complement her loudly at the bar she was working at ! When you see this place, you just think "HELL YEAH!" and when you walk in you can't help but say "HELL YEAH!" A group of coworkers and I sent to Sunrise Lanes for an after-work outing. It's pretty typical of a bowling alley. They have lots of lanes, with lounge-style seating for the lanes and theme bowling nights. The prices are reasonable for a night out. There's a great bar inside, and they let you bring your drinks out to your lane. The bartenders are fun-natured and quick with your order. There are 3 billiard tables in the bar area, for a change of game. The food is hit or miss. You can't go wrong with the deep fried foods like fries and tots. However, DO NOT order the pizza. It's a step above cardboard with cheese. I'm not saying that I'm looking for gourmet pizza, but I'm sure that I've had better pizza in a mall foodcourt. Sunrise Lakes is a bit far from my home, but since we had people coming from all over Tampa Bay, it was a good meeting area for everyone. Really love this bowling alley. Please note, I have not been at night and I saw a couple reviews mentioning concerns about the parking lot and/or clientele. My go-to night bowling place is the small Ten Pin Lanes over in Pasadena; it's only twenty lanes, but it's out of the way so it seems like it only attracts people who behave and are there to have fun, and the parking lot seems completely safe. Anyway, Sunrise I enjoy better than its sister location Seminole Lanes, with one exception, the pro shop. Bev's Pro Shop at the Seminole location is really great; it's where I get all my equipment. Other than that, I have nothing but great experiences at Sunrise for what is typically mid-day Saturday and Sunday visits. I make a lane reservation, we show up, we bowl. The food is actually really reasonable from the restaurant; my kid loves the pizza, I love the chicken philly, everyone's happy. The staff bring the food right to your lane; couldn't be easier. The staff at the bar are always nice and pleasant to interact with too, and prices on cocktails or pitchers are reasonable. The lanes have comfortable couches and large tables in the middle, so you have room for your crew, room to eat and drink, and we all have a great time. The equipment seems to malfunction less often than Seminole too, which has been an annoyance of mine about that location. read more

If you are the owner and are reading this, please call me. I chose this place because prior to coming here, all the staff I interacted with were super nice. Hannah, who stated she was a manager, was by far one of the rudest people I have encountered in the service industry. She was confrontational and aggressive with each interaction we had, from ordering drinks when we first arrived to requesting change for the pool machine. When we asked for a glass of ice water she gave us bottles of water and said "this is what you're getting" and refused to give us a simple glass of water. My family & I have frequented Sunrise in the past including family nights and birthday parties, but after this service and behavior, we will definitely not be returning. read more

So stumbled upon this place after stopping by the nearby barbershop. The place doesn't look big but omg it really opens up !! The has a huge bowling alley separate pool room with a bar , a food court and a arcade, o and there is a pro shop towards the back, there were all ages present young and old. I didn't eat any food but it sure smelled good. We had several drinks and they were good I had a sweet white and he had crowne and coke. We played two games about $24 total. The arcade was fun had a very big selection of games! The pool room has two large pool tables one dollar for each game. It was a really fun way to end the day !! Bathroom was clean and the workers were always around and easy to find. They were super nice and constantly disinfected the stations after ppl finished which I liked. Cute bowling alley! Went here with some friends on a Friday night for glow bowling. $20 all you can bowl starts at 9:20pm and includes shoe rental. It's a clean alley with plenty of space. The glow bowl actually starts at 10pm (this is when they turn the neon lights on), but arriving early allows you to avoid the lines and get a lane first. The alley also has a great little bar area (full liquor) and serves pitchers as well. The bartenders were very friendly and quick to serve. There is a concession stand as well that sells your staple snack foods such as pizza and chicken tenders. There is also a small arcade on premises. Parking is easy to find since they have a big lot in a strip mall. Bathrooms are clean and clearly marked/easy to find. The technology is up to date and there are plenty of different bowling balls around the alley to choose from. I had a good time and would definitely go back. read more

I hadn't been bowling since college, and this bowling alley reminded me of every other bowling alley I've ever been to over the years. A little dingy on the outside, but functional on the inside. The lanes themselves are well-kept. I can't vouch for the food, but they have decent beer on draft and the prices were reasonable. We don't go bowling often enough, but when we do, we love that Sunrise Lanes is blocks from us! We went on a Sunday, and it wasn't too busy. Plus, on Sundays, if you go before 1pm, it's $10 per person. Every day they have a different special, including galactic bowling Thursday-Sunday nights. Galactic is where it's at! Those nights are usually packed! Every day, the Lanes open at 10 am. I'm not sure what time the bar opens, but they have a full bar (with specials) and food. I was surprised by all the options you can get food wise! They have everything from typical bar apps to pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. We've only ever ordered a few of their apps, so I'm not sure how everything is, but they legit have something for everyone! I'm not sure if this is every day as well, but I know while we've gone, we've been able to get jello shots, which are always fun. Don't feel like bowling? They have a huge arcade as well as a few pool tables and darts. The parking lot is huge, so you should have no trouble finding a spot! Typical bowling alley with what looks like small aesthetic upgrades/updates since its original concept. The price point is key here. I'm typically a fan of the more bougie bowling alleys, but this one is a nice compromise for the price point. The shoes are all velcro and seem to be very well kept (none of those "ahhhhhh I don't want to put my feet in those shoe" moments). We bowled 3 games and bought a few pitchers of beer for the group and did not blow the bank. Solid option for parties and small groups. read more

This is a great bowling alley. The staff is very friendly. They assisted in making our group event a great success. The lanes are what you expect. They are polished and end with a rack of 10 pins. They offer a much better seating option than most. Each lane has a collection of small sofa style lounges. The only downfall of this lanes is the exterior and parking area. There's generally enough parking, but the exterior of this small shopping plaza is a bit sketchy. With that being said, I'll be back here. Maybe I'll see you here, too. read more

A pretty cool bowling alley with a lounge that has a full bar and pool. There is also a cafe where you can get food and beverages. This came in handy when I needed a cappuccino because the air conditioning was on so much and it was freezing! This is just your typical neighborhood bowling alley. Fun, Fun, Fun! I love to go bowling and Sunrise Lanes is my preferred location. They have a decent amount of lanes and we have never had a problem getting a spot. They have a wide variety of bowling balls, nice lanes, "galactic bowling" for cheap, pool tables, arcade games and a nice bar. I would recommend eating before or after bowling. We were hungry while we were here and my Husband decided to order onion rings. Big mistake. Our expensive onion rings took FOREVER and ended up being burnt. The kid behind the counter (who couldn't have been more than 16) apologized and offered to remake them, but we didn't have all day. Just skip the food. Service at the front desk is also a little iffy here. It can be quite slow to pay and get your lane. We also learned that you have to go back up, wait in line again, pay and then go back to your lane if you want to play additional games. Kind of a hassle. When I used to bowl a lot as a teenager, we could just play as many as we want and pay at the end. Overall, a great time. I recommend Tues-Thurs Galactic bowling for only $11/person. Came here on a rainy day finding something to do. We have been coming here for over a year now and this is one of the best bowling places to go to in St Pete. The bowling alley has a great selection of food, bar, and many lanes to bowl in. You can actually bring your alcohol beverages to the table at the seating area which is great. The seating is updated and provides you with couches to sit on. We enjoy the cosmic bowling after 9pm which is always fun. We enjoy coming here. I went here on my daughter's birthday and we were having a good time, however, this lady bowling next to us yelled at us the whole time. She yelled at us repeatedly for not "having bowling etiquette". Multiple times none of us were even walking up to the lane to bowl and she would yell at us that she was going. She interrupted our conversation and flat out bullied us for a good amount of time. Finally, I had enough and I went to ask to move lanes. The staff was very nice about it, moved us, and gave us extra time. However, they did inform me that this happens every time with her. Later, my family and I were looking at the bowling leagues and realized that she is on their senior league. So, basically they let this lady come here every week and harass their customers with no repercussions. Vicky, you are a racist and beyond rude. And to the owners, that is a shame that even your employees know she's an issue but you continue to let her harass the families that just want to spend time together on the weekend. read more

Went to go bowling with my 6 yr old who only has the attention span for a game. But they don't charge per game anymore. Only hour time slots!! What the heck??? Also, the arcade/Game Center is fully operable, but the ticket redemption center is only open at certain times. Today on 8/15... it wasn't open til 6pm, but silly open 4pm. Again.... The heck?? Very expensive for a family just trying to bowl one game with the kiddos. Approx 15 an hour for adults and 13 for kids regardless of age. I was expecting to pay like 5 or 6 dollars per person for a game not $60 for a family of four for one game (one game takes forever with little ones). This place is literally a joke and has such poor communication skills. We drove 20 minutes to get here because we were told there was no league bowling this evening. Once we arrived, we were informed that within 45 minutes there were going to be leagues starting. Very upset as we had to spend almost $15 just to get here via Uber since we are from out of town, and the fact that we called to make sure there weren't any leagues playing tonight. The front desk tried to make up a story that they thought we are arriving 30 minutes prior which still doesn't negate from the fact that they told us there would be no leagues playing this evening. When it comes to actually bowling, I would give a five star. The problem is everything else! We went on a weekday evening thinking we would have some drinks and play arcade games before the 930 all you can bowl. Big mistake. Three of the five arcade games we played were not working properly. Funny how there can be a bowling alley located on a road I drive down daily with nary a notice on my part. It's set back a bit, the entrance sign simply states "BOWL" in the corner of a strip mall. It's surprisingly nice inside. The couches & coffee tables provide a comfy spot to hang while you bowl. Snack bar food is decent. Saw the bar, noticed some pool table, a game room, and looks like the Pro Shop is almost ready to open. Service is friendly all around. Our 4 year old loves him some bowling, so we'll be here regularly....possibly even for his 5th birthday party. read more

Nice bowling alley in St. Pete. Other reviewers said the outside looks dubious but to me it just looked like it hasn't had a facelift since the 1970s. Inside, it is nice. I'm glad I read the reviews and decided to go here because of the reviews. Every staff member was super NICE! Each & everyone I had contact with was sweet & polite & willing to help. Makes the day so much better & so pleasant. For this alone, I'll be back. We didn't get to eat at their snack bar because we only had 1.5 hours to bowl before the tournament teams came in. We did have some adult beverages & they were very good. It would have been easy peasy for me if they had table service or electronic ordering. Since I was a cheerleader, if I didn't have to go over to the bar to order, I would have had a second drink. There are comfy couches set up as seating for players & watchers. The lanes are polished & kids liked the multicolored lane lights. We had a 2 year old & 4 year old & this alley had the bumpers & ball slide for them. Sunrise Lanes...ahhh where to begin.... Let's start with problem numbero uno- SHANE. He has absolutely zero customer service. The customer is always wrong! His attitude is as if he enjoys upsetting people who spend money in there. I don't understand. From being moved from one lane to the next, to needing 7 people for 2 lanes, to denying every common request imaginable... He always says he's the only manager on shift. It's the closest bowling alley to my house, but I'd rather take a 20 minute ride to Ten Pins lanes from now on. read more
