Always fun here! The glow bowling is so much fun! Popcorn from the bar is great! The service is good. They are helpful and very nice. I find the shoes for renting are clean and the bowling balls for use are pretty well maintained. There are a lot of leagues that play here. If going for open bowling, I suggest to call ahead or attend an event they promote that is open bowling. Overall the bowling alley is very well maintained and they provide a really fun atmosphere. There is a restaurant on the property however when it is closed you can go to a local restaurant and bring food in. Again I would just check for the times that you are there to ensure the availability of food inside the building as well as bringing food from outside the building. There's also a bar inside that many people patron and you can get good drinks at a reasonable price there. read more

I used to ride my bike here and bowl when I was about 7. I recently moved back to town after 40 years. I am overjoyed to see that this institution has survived. Not only survived but obviously doing something right. it's very clean inside. I liked the neon lanes. I plan to go back soon for the galaxy bowl on Friday nights. there is a restaurant attached to the lanes too which I recommend. They have a big menu and serve lots of freshly made inhouse items including desserts. read more

Excellent vibe here. People will even sometimes clap for you if you bowl a strike, especially if it's a woman or child. I do not qualify, but it was noted. Very clean place with friendly staff. Everything here is plain and simple, and that's meant in a good way. Definitely recommended. read more

Bartenders extremely rude. I've never wrote a bad review EVER, especially about small businesses because I know how much of an impact it has. However, I left Dunedin Lanes extremely upset because of the rude bartenders and terrible drink. I initially came in excited to grab a drink and watch my friends play a few rounds of bowling. But as soon as I opened the door to the bar, I was given a distasteful look by the bartenders (older lady with glasses and younger tall lady with buzzed brown hair and glasses). I understand that I look young for my age but there was no need to greet me so rudely. Even after I showed my ID and ordered my drink, they continued to give me nasty looks for the rest of the night. This made my friends and I extremely uncomfortable all night. Additionally, I ordered a raspberry lemon drop drink, but instead was given a shot without the raspberry. I wanted to give this place a try because of how close it is to my house, but needless to say my friends I will be going to Maple Lanes from now on. (They have better prices and far friendlier staff) Edit: I personally did not do anything illegal or brought in any drinks from the outside. I do not take responsibility for other people's action. Furthermore, that should not be an excuse for treating me poorly. Everything I did was very much legal and even tipped the bartenders despite how rude they were to me from the very beginning. This was solely my experience with your bar. (And judging by other reviews it appears that I am not the only one with this type of experience at this place) Additionally, we never caused a scene or trouble in the establishment. They have no idea who has the lists and only place who they want on them. After calling 2 times a day and being told 3 different things for 2 weeks straight. The service and amenities are standard for a bowling alley. No comments or complaints. Overall: 4/5. The weekend price specials are very reasonable and great for a night out with friends. I personally liked the family-oriented atmosphere, and my friends loved the cheap beer pitchers and access to the diner food. Dunedin Lanes from the outside may seem like it has dull colors and may not look too fun to the public eye. But everyone knows you should not judge something based on its cover or outside appearance. Dunedin Lanes has kind employees and amazing bowling alleys. I did not try the food or the arcade games but they looked amazing and worth a try. My only complaint is that my bowling shoes did not produce enough friction, so when I spun the ball, I almost fell over a couple times. But I got used to it. Besides that, amazing place. read more

We love going here. Great smaller bowling alley with a wonderful neighborhood feeling. We go at least twice a week. We bought our bowling balls from Jim in the pro shop and stop by the lounge for a drink with Lisa. Everyone working here is super friendly and I thinks its the cleanest bowling alley I have ever been to. This is a nice smaller size bowling alley. It had about 20 lanes. The lanes were in great shape. We had a couple drinks there and they were a good value. The fries were a little pricey for the amount you received. There is a different deal each day for bowling and they also have leagues. I have no issues going back for a rainy day activity. read more

We did not bowl when we visited. It was our first time in so we wanted to check it out. We have been looking for a local hangout. So, we parked our bikes in the bike racks and walked in. The lounge is to your right as you walk in the front doors. The bowling store is to your left. They sell pretty much anything you need in order to bowl. Some items were on sale too. We walked through the bowling alley. It was clean and well kept. There is a rental station for shoes and there are balls you can use if you do not have your own. The automatic scoring stations were well lit. The lanes were well kept and clean. Today was league day (average age of 60+) and they all seemed to have a great time. There was free coffee for the leaguers during their games. There is a diner attached to the place called Chatterbox. They have great diner style food for good prices. I am not sure if you can order and take it out to your lane though. It was about 3:30 when we were there so it wasn't really 'eating' time for them. We made our way to the lounge. We seated ourselves at the bar. The bartender greeted us and asked us what we wanted to drink. I chose a Jai Alai $5 and he had a Jameson $8 on the rocks. It was happy hour when we were there but our choices were not HH priced. You can get a bud light for $2 though. Our beer was good. It was 'fresh' and cold. The lounge itself was clean and SMOKE FREE. It was very cool inside so bring a sweatshirt if you get cold easily. They have a full bar to choose from. Other than having a crappy happy hour this place was great. Dunedin Lanes is a nice 24 lane bowling center! I came here to practice my bowling, and this has to be the best bowling alley I have been to. When I first came in the staff treated us very well. The Pro Shop owner, Howie came over and helped me with my bowling. Howie was very understanding, and he is a great bowling instructor. If you need bowling lessons or want a new bowling ball, you need to see Howie at Dunedin Lanes! This place also has updated computer software, there are many bowling games to try on the computers under the "Lane Your Way" section. During Cosmic Glow Bowling they have video music that appear on the screens. I highly recommend going to Dunedin Lanes! read more

Friends and I have gone here on more than one occasion for their Monday 'Hospitality Night.' I don't understand why more people don't do this?!! For a crazy awesome $8 (after 10p) you get unlimited bowling and free shoe rental. They close at 1, so that's three hours of awesome on the cheap. Drinks are cheap, plus they have pitcher specials on beer AND you can order in pizza from Jets until midnight since the kitchen at the alley closes early. read more

Dunedin Lanes is quite a bowling Alley. It has monthly events and dark bowling. They have now updated the machines on the lanes with really cool keyboards and new screens. They are always keeping it clean and the bathrooms are always looking good. I come here every first Thursday of every month for gay bowling with unlimited games! read more

Not bad of a place. It was a $1 cheaper before 5 pm. Place was quiet and clean and new looking inside. There is chatterbox the restaurant there ...didn't order anything except asked for some ice water that we had to pay 25 cents for. They also have lottery. This bowling alley caters to everyone over the age of 60! If you attempt to go in on any given day they will treat you very poorly to the point of refusing to even serve you for hours. The only time I've seen them actually cater to someone under 60 is their occasional teen night. That is specifically for teens. I'm glad they do that for the kids but it's once a month if not less. It would be nice if they would treat all their customers like valued customers and not just cater to seniors. Seriously, they won't be around much longer and then who will keep you in business!? It's not going to be the people you treated so poorly. I guess then it will be just another vacant building in this area. There are much nicer, updated, friendlier bowling alleys in the area. We went to Dunedin Lanes this weekend because Maple Lanes was insanely busy with over a 3 hour wait for a lane. I was skeptical coming here but was pleasantly surprised. My party of 6 came bowling at 2:30PM on a Saturday. It wasn't busy but wasn't empty either. The employee assigned us two lanes at the end of the bowling alley. The bowling alley wasn't too large. But it was clean and did not feel cramped. We were assigned lane 2. It stopped working and the employees quickly fixed the situation and moved us to lanes 3 and 4. We had a great time. There was a wide selection of bowling balls. We did not have anything from their food cafe or bar. The bathrooms were clean and everyone was polite. The only thing that bothered me was the amount of small children running in and out of the lanes (ours included). This is not the bowling alley's fault-more the parents/guardians of these kids. But, the bowling alley employee should have talked to these parents. The kids almost collided with us more than a few times. I wonder what the atmosphere is at night. For daytime bowling, I would surely return. It was inexpensive as well. For 6 of us, for 2 hours, we paid a total of $60. Not bad! read more

What started off as a nice mother / daughter trip quickly went bad after checking in at Dunedin Lanes. The shoes smelled HORRIBLE!!!! That alone would have been enough to make me leave but my daughter had her heart set on bowling so I figured my thick socks would protect me from whatever was surely lurking in the shoes. We paid and went to our designated lane and started picking out a ball. The second ball I found I selected and as soon as I stuck my fingers in I hit something gooey in the thumb hole!!! I snatched my hand out completely grossed out. On I went looking for a new ball (after hand sanitizer) and found one which I peered into before sticking my fingers in the holes. So now we're playing and things are looking up. We paid for two games and halfway through the second game our lane shut down. We were on the 5th frame so I sent my daughter up to the counter to tell them we had a technical issue (this had happened during our last trip to Dunedin Lanes also). The guy at the counter told her the game was over. I went up to the counter to explain what had happened to the guy (and a lady who was working the counter too) and the lady said "nope your game is over". I said "no it's not we were only halfway through". She replied "well I can't go back in and get it working again so your game is over". Worst customer service ever- in addition to the filthy shoes and ball. I like to support local Dunedin businesses since I live here but I will certainly NEVER go back to Dunedin Lanes after this terrible experience! read more

A nice recently remodeled bowling alley. Not sure why someone said it needs updating. The drinks are reasonably priced. I went on a Saturday night for the Cosmic Bowling. $15 for shoe rental and unlimited games from 9.30pm to 1am. Big screen TVs showing music videos. Music selection was a good mix of Top 40 and other well known songs. A fun time for a decent price. read more
