Friendly service & the bar has a dart board & a pool table. Outside the bar is air hockey & arcades! The lanes are pretty oily & allow for you to put bumpers up for one person & not everyone. I should just start with bowling just is not my favorite thing. However, staff were friendly and the kids loved being here. They've certainly made some upgrades over the years but it still just feels a little old and "dirty" because of it. They have great pricing though and a nice weekly calendar of discounts. For kids they had both a ramp and the bumper options. There was also a cute fish themed design for the score keeping. The nostalgia with the outside design is great and some of that is carried inside too. read more

Bowling, the sport of kings. I haven't been bowling in a dog's age but we're here for a team building. It wasn't my choice. And yet, we had so much fun. Six dudes throwing twelve, fourteen, sixteen pound balls at pins down range giving crap to each other as we got strikes and gutter balls and generally had a fun time. Oh, and booze. I had two beers that definitely helped as "aiming fluid." All of the equipment worked well. The shoes were fine. The restrooms were clean. The automated scoring machine did a great job. Had a wonderful experience here today. Great fun, and there is an alley out there that still lets you pay by the game (you can rent time too). The alley is nice inside, not a mega lane. Friendly staff. The most hilarious part was the automatic scoring. It asked you to take pictures before bowling and throughout the games, funny cartoons would play after every shot with our faces on it. Couldn't stop for laughing for the entire time! read more

This is a great old school bowling alley that will bring back memories if you had gone bowling as a kid. That's not to say they haven't installed modern equipment at the lanes; you can put your photos in and have it show funny things on the screen after good or bad frames, send messages to people in other lanes, etc. I will say the oil on the lanes was a little inconsistent, but not bad, just less than ideal. There's a full liquor bar with typical bar food, service was good, the drinks were good, the pizza was actually good too (and baked fresh not from frozen). Another part of the business where they truly excel is the hosting of kids birthday parties. We'd never even though of a kid bowling party until invited to one, and kids of all ages really have a blast. We had our own kid's party there and the staff were phenomenal. They reserved a number of lanes based on headcount, left a couple lanes for the adults to use too, and they had people attending to our party the entire time whether to get tables set, utensils, help the kids get their names and photos into the lane tablets, etc. Honestly we didn't have huge expectations, I mean it's a bowling alley, but they really showed up with the A-game on service. read more

This was a nice little alley! My grandmother and I decided to go in at the middle of the day just for a few games of bowling! She is an avid bowler so she typically goes to the larger one about 20 minutes down the road. This facility had about 30ish lanes. There was a coach and about 3 students a few lanes to the side of us but other than that we were the only ones there. The balls and shoes were a little bit older but still did the job just fine. Along with bowling there appeared to be a bar and restaurant, a few pool tables, and a little arcade on the side. If you are looking to come bowling with your family or maybe just a date night this is a great place to come. read more

I did like this place but I will go back to my other bowling spot on Dr. Martin Luther King. We recently found this place and loved (closer to our new house) however, tonight is the night we won't be back. Typically the staff is super friendly the few times we have been in the past week since discovering it. There was a woman here tonight with short dark hair and not welcoming at all. First off, we don't really drink so we brought along our kratom tea (it's non alcoholic) and they do not sell it. She threw a huge fit over it and said we don't know it's not alcohol Um, do my husband and I seem like we've been drinking? She's like it doesn't matter what it is we can't allow outside drinks. Ok, fine but educate yourself on the fact that some people do not drink- but I guess over serving obnoxious guests and allowing them to literally walk out of your place with a beer and driving is OK? Seems a little screwy to me but if she wasn't so rude and ignorant regarding the situation perhaps I wouldn't care. Not the only place to bowl in St. Pete. read more

We went here to celebrate my 21st birthday. It was on a Monday, so we needed a fun option that everyone could enjoy without being out all night and having to go to work/class the next day hungover. Plus not everyone in my friend group is 21 yet, so this was a great option! On Monday nights, from 9p-midnight, it's unlimited bowling for $10 & that includes shoe rentals. Drafts, wells, & house wine is BOGO while pitchers were 2 for $10 or 2 for $15 depending on what you selected. It was such a great deal for those of us on a broke college student budget & we all had an awesome time. My only complaint was the kitchen closed around 10/10:30ish, so that didn't leave much time to order snacks and appetizers, nor did they announce that it'd be closing soon too. But otherwise it was a great way to spend a 21st birthday with the mixed ages & the Monday date. read more

Little did my party know that they close at 11pm on a Saturday nor did the employee who answered the phone say that they closed in a hour. This is a small bowling alley you pass on the way to the beach, with a pink exterior. They have a full bar area to the left when you walk in. Karaoke almost every night, which is usually a small crowd, but the people are pretty good. Drinks are cheap, and they have $1 jello shots. Great spot for real bowling. They actually oil the lanes regularly, for those who understand the importance of this. The staff is great, and they have good bowling alley food, and a full bar. Fresh chicken fingers, pizza and apps, etc. Bowling is slim pickings in St Pete, and this place is the best for an avid bowler. There are certain times that they have glow bowling or what we call rock n bowl, so if you're old and you like to see the lane , call ahead on the weekend for normal bowling hours. We came here for some cosmic (glow) bowling about 10:30PM on a Friday night. We did have fun but we could have had more fun, but I do not blame the establishment. The rating A-OK perfectly reflects our OK experience. Some other reviewers called this old school bowling. While it may not have been the pinnacle of technology, it did not seem old school to us. Not very crowded. This was good because if it was crowded we may have been forced to wait for a lane. We got there and got a lane right away. Moreover, it was easy to find a ball with the right sized fingers and weight because they were not all taken. This is a plus, but at 10:30 on a Friday night, one might hope for more than 25% capacity. Fun tends to be contagious, and if the place seems empty then one may question the fun they are in fact having. I felt this was important to comment on and it does not change my 3 star rating. I will take responsibility for my own fun and perhaps invite friends along next time to increase the crowds (it was just my fiancee and myself on this visit). Guest behavior was annoying. There were plenty of people that were well behaved and/or not annoying, but there was a group of guys that were bumping chests and acting especially crazy. I think we drank more than they did, so I hesitate to write it off as drunken antics, I think it was more just lack of decency. We do not have children, but we felt bad for the kids a couple lanes down because of the poor use of choice words by this annoying group. I can lack sensitivity sometimes too, but it does both my fiancee. If it was more crowded it may not be a big deal but I guarantee those kids increased their vocabulary in all the wrong ways. Bright lights. This is probably the one thing Ten Pin Lanes could do to improve my rating of the glow bowling. The front 1/2 of the building was very well lit. The lights need to be dimmed down, otherwise it over powers the cool atmosphere of glow bowl. We enjoyed a pitcher of Amber Bock and played 2 games. It is all you can bowl from 9:30PM until 1AM for $15 which is a decent deal. Since we had not bowled in a while, our wrists were a little sore after the 2nd game. Right as we started to pack up, the annoying people left. Perhaps we should have stayed longer. We will almost certainly be back and bring a crowd. Maybe the lights will be dimmed and then I can happily up my review by a star or two. read more

My family loves this place. We have been a few times since moving to the area in July and it has been a hit since the beginning g. Everyone is very friendly and the prices are reasonable, plus they offer specials and discounts on certain days. It looks like it hasn't changed much in 30 years and I absolutely love that about it. They have a fun little arcade area, pool table, and air hockey. There's also a bar and grill inside. We haven't tried any of the food but the drinks are good. read more

We were enjoying ourselves until one of the employees told us that a man couldn't use an 8 lb pink ball and that those balls are reserved for women and children only (since apparently they can't throw as hard). People at this alley are extremely rude. Rates change for hourly rental depending on the day of the week. After inquiring about the hourly rate, we were told by the guy running the desk that he had already started us "per game" and I guess at the end of our bowling couldn't (or wouldn't) change it. We were never asked if we'd like to do the hourly rate. We ( a couple) were one of two groups there. Could not get anything from the bar since the bartender was outside smoking the whole time. The older lady there was too busy playing the coin game to be bothered. Since the desk worker was the one who eventually brought us our drinks, we assumed all charges were included when checking out at the desk, which would have been a reasonable price. After paying and tipping (we thought for drinks), we were very rudely informed by the absentee bartender that we needed to pay separately at the bar. We explained that we thought it was all included, which is why we tipped. She looked up our transaction, scoffed at our tip, and gave us our other total. Funny that she can see that transaction, but we can't pay for all fees at the desk. So, we were never offered the hourly rate, and were charged 45 dollars for an hour of bowling for two people. We paid for our drinks and and additional tip (which she definitely did not earn), and left. I am now finding that literally all other lanes around here offer specials, like 2.50 games, etc. Not hard to see why we were one of two groups there. Your prices need to be fair and transparent. If the method of fee "can't be changed" , the hourly rate should be offered up front. And most importantly, your people need to be friendly, or at least fake it. Our hard-earned dollars will be going to other local lanes. read more

A small bowling alley tucked away on the south end of South Pasadena. It's tiny inside as bowling alleys go, but that's why I like it. Add a full bar to this and you have good times. We had my daughters 6th birthday party here with some friends and they offer packages for such. We were assigned an attendant (very young and inexperienced) who did a satisfactory job. Bowling, presents, beer, rum, cake, and laughs....a success. Management was very welcoming for our party and made sure everything was okay throughout our event. They even hand paint an old bowling pin with the birthday girl/boy's name with a design and you get to take that home.....nice touch. read more

Thank You Ten Pin Lanes.. My daughters friend beach party was rained out (Saturday March 19) and they graciously let us come bowl before their tournament began. The lady at the front desk was accommodating and very nice. The review from Scott A who also attended the party was not exactly the truth. If your going to write a review, tell the entire story. I happened to be standing near him when the front desk lady came and told him that outside food was not allowed as stated by their front door. She told him that they could take their food and eat on their covered deck with tables, chairs and TV. She also told him that if it was to wet out there she would allow them to eat their food in the bar. HE CHOSE to eat in the car with his daughters. She did and said everything she could possibly do to accommodate him. My daughter and her friends had a blast bowling. Thank You again Ten Pins for saving the day. read more
