Service at Semper Fi goes out of their way to help you have a great experience. Dan is a very good man and I think has the best attitude. He always helps me out if I ask. The staff whether some know me by first name or not, are very courteous and friendly. I've never had a bad experience. Have a nice selection of rental firearms for first timers or people that just want to try a different weapon. The value of the customer service outweighs some of the other stores in town to the point. I would pay more & just to go here just because of the staff. Over going anywhere else that may be less expensive, but the staff could care-less. Great job to the Semper FI team, and God bless. read more

Called today about some range time and to ask if my 16 and 8 year old daughters could shoot a .22 with me in the back and was told I'd just have to sign a waiver for them cause of their age but it was fine. Drove 30 minutes to get there and while checking in and signing the waiver the guy at the counter decides to ask the manager and finds out the minimum age is 10. I respect and understand all their policies and have no complaints about that, especially when it comes to firearm safety. The shitty part is the complete waste of my time driving there and back when all the young man on the phone had to do was give me the correct info. Maybe some training could help this. read more

Nice local gun shop. Friendly and knowledgable staff with a nice open layout and a selection of rifles, pistols and shotguns. Stock is mostly new with a handful of secondhand pieces available. They don't really cater to the high end market like some of the other shops in town so you won't find your $15,000 shotguns here but if you need a basic hunting gun this shop is a great place to go. They also have a classroom for teaching in back. They do have an indoor range they are associated with, S&D Indoor Range. They have about a dozen lanes in on a 25 yard range and can take up to .30-06 in a couple of the lanes. The target hangers are on rails so they don't bounce around when you send them down range and the staff police the line well so you're not tripping on spent brass all the time. Your first target is actually pre-hung for you when you get there which is a nice touch. The range is actively supervised by a range officer as well so it's a very safe place to shoot. read more

I purchased 2 item's from this place. The first was a Lazer for my 9mm. Every time I fired it. The Lazer fell off. It was them that put it on for me. The second item was a 12 gage shotgun that never left the store. The reason is do to a defect. They said they would get it fixed for me. That was in March. It has been almost 3 months. After several attempts to find out when it would be fixed with excuse after excuse I decided to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge to get my money back. The gun store told them that I already have the gun. I will never buy from them again. They lied to me telling me if I paid in advance that my gun would be fixed with in 2 weeks. That was in March. It is now June. 3 months later and no gun. They refuse to give me my money back. $300 that I will never get back. Buyer beware. read more

This is a great local firearms store that offers full service sales and maintenance, concealed carry and weapons safety courses, and has a great indoor shooting range for rifles and handguns. I bought both my Smith & Wesson M&P pistol and CZ Mallard shotgun from Semper Fi. Nick Huzl helped me out both times and was very friendly and knowledgable. They had to special order my CZ shotgun, but that was at no extra cost to me and it arrived very quickly to the store. The main floor area of the store is very open and clean. They have a wide variety of firearm accessories including holsters, cleaning gear, replacement stocks and grips, lasers, fibre sights, scopes, etc... There is even a few couches by the range counter for your lounging pleasure if you have to wait for a range lane to open. Speaking of the range - if you've ever wanted to try out an AK or maybe a different style pistol, they have various weapons available for you to borrow. This shop is superb in my opinion, and I have been to quite a few firearms stores. I cannot see myself purchasing another firearm from any other store. read more

A great, educational experience with very attentive staff. I came in today with my brother to do some shooting. I've never touched a gun before in my life and my bro is a bit green, but had some previous instruction. Decided it was time for me to learn to safely handle a firearm. I am in no way a gun enthusiast (you can probably count me among those liberals who "hate guns"), and I was really nervous at first, but the the gentleman who rented us our guns (a .22 Ruger and 9mm Glock) walked us through every step. I was really impressed with how he broke down even the simplest of instructions on handling the ammo, the firearm, safety, etc... Having no experience, I probably asked him a few "stupid" questions but he was super patient and helpful! During our second 30 min., since the store was a little slow I guess, he even came into the range with us and basically gave us a free lesson on improving our use of the Glock. It was really nice to have the personal attention. I wish I remembered his name, I never did catch it. I'm not convinced I need to run out and buy a handgun any time soon, but I'm really glad to have had this experience and meet the patient, knowledgable staff. Place is a little hidden, if you weren't looking for it you might miss it, may be why they were kinda slow (then again it was a Monday early afternoon...). We found the prices really reasonable, $20 for two people for 30 minutes in the range, plus the rental and ammo which was not as expensive as I'd thought it was going to be. My brother was really pleased too and being a Lexington townie, he plans to go back with his gf soon. read more

Was in the store ready to buy. Looked like a really nice facility. There were about 4 workers in the store however three of them were glued to the computer. I stood by the display not moving for about 15-20 minutes and never got helped. After waiting and watching and waiting some more I decided that I wasn't going to get any help and left. So I don't know if I didn't look like a paying customer or the staff just didn't want to do anything. Word of advice...don't abandon your Point Of Sale!!! read more

Never in my life. Walked in to purchase a Glock... Wow, was I surprised to hear from them that Glock "was out of business' since they had "lost government contracts"... Well... What can I say... but that Glock has never HAD a government contract, and they still seem to send guns to other dealers in the area... I guess this was the reason to try to sell me a S&W piece of crap instead..... I will never go to this place again. Nothing like someone trying to blow smoke up your crack... I had to give them 1 star, since there was no way to give them NO or (-) stars! read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. To call them thieves would be an insult to thieves. I bought a shotgun there in April. Brought it back less then 24 hours later because it would not feed correctly. They sent the gun back to the manufacture to be fixed. Came back with the same problem. Sent it back two more times to no avail. 8 months later they called me and said they had a check for me. I spent $800 on this shotgun. I received a check for $650. I was told that because they had to send the gun back three times that I was not getting a full refund. After speaking with the gun manufacture I found out that Semper Fi was out no cost to ship the weapon. That the manufacture sends call tags for their weapons and takes care of shipping. So I was lied to and stolen from. HORRIBLE customer service. DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR ANYTHING. read more

I visited this store on 12/27/2012 to check prices and buy some ammo. The young gentleman on the right side of the store was friendly and willing to help. After checking some prices and moved to the other side of the store where the ammo counter was. It was also located at the entrance to the range and was VERY loud. A big tall person with glasses waited on me and I asked for prices on 45 cal. ammo. I had misunderstood him, since I wear hearing aids and have trouble hearing also compounded by the firing noise. He started yelling and held up fingers trying to state the price. That was not necessary, all he had to do was repeat the price and stand a little closer to me. This big jerk was rude and condescending to a fellow disabled veteran. He showed no respect and acted mad!!! I was going to buy the ammo but after that I walked out the door and went to "Centerfire Systems in Versailles to get the ammo. It was cheaper by $3.00 a box and the gentleman there was polite and not rude. I will NEVER step foot in Semper FI gun store again! NO Class! A bunch of jerks. I wish I could give you no stars or maybe a 1/64th of a star, but NO that is not possible!!! This store also has a Filtered out review but it doesn't go against them I guess because it is NOT good!
