Well, I told her not to cut just file cause my nails aren't long to begin with and on my right hand 2 of the nails are a bit shorter due to nail breakage. I normally don't visit this salon, and unfortunately, this experience confirmed why. From the beginning, I felt rushed and overcharged. There was a lot of upselling, and the prices were much higher than I expected. I also wasn't particularly happy with the finished product, but I figured it was a one-time experience and gave it the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the quality became an even bigger issue. By day two, one of my nails had started peeling. By day four, another nail completely came off. About a week later, another nail came off, leaving me with an injured, bleeding nail. Rather than immediately writing a negative review, I decided to give the salon an opportunity to make things right. I went back and requested a full refund and asked for the remaining nails to be properly removed. Instead of offering a solution, the staff repeatedly told me that they have no refund policy and blamed me for the condition of my nails. They said I should have contacted them the same day and suggested that the damage was my fault. I work from home and do light typing for my job, so I found that explanation especially frustrating. When I asked what solution they were offering, I was told that if I wanted the nails fixed or removed, I would have to pay them again. At that point, I was essentially told to leave when I questioned why they weren't willing to resolve the problem. I understand that sometimes things happen with nail services, but what really disappointed me was the lack of accountability and customer service when I came back with a legitimate concern. I will not be returning. The service was rushed, the pricing felt excessive, the quality did not hold up, and the way my concerns were handled was extremely unprofessional. These nails have lasted me longer than any nails I've ever had. As far as salon experience, Daisy treated me like family. I was here for a wedding traveling from Washington DC and would definitely recommend this to anyone in town or passing through. A few important things to note: - the salon is appointment only, no walk ins - they do not take credit card. I'm glad I had Venmo because I could see this being an issue for some people. - their online website doesn't appear to be working but calling in for an appointment works - pricing is steeper than what I'm used to but Daisy was very transparent at the salon. She had a paper brochure of services and explained how they use high quality products. I would tell you 3 weeks out that I absolutely see the value on the full set. On the pedicure, maybe not as much. - my appointment took about 2 hours. they are very thorough so plan to be here for a while. I continued to calmly express that I didn't like how thick and poorly shaped the tips were, and the owner suddenly became hostile. She started yelling at me, refused to fix the issue, and ultimately kicked me out of the salon. As I was leaving, she followed me outside, continuing to yell and act disrespectfully. When I mentioned I would be leaving a negative review, she escalated even more. This was not only unprofessional, but completely unacceptable behavior. No customer should ever be treated this way.
