Do not go here. The dentist is very nice, but her office personal is incompetent and ruins the entire experience. I was in talks with the dentist about an Invisalign set. I came to the office and had an entire meeting with the dentist and the office lady about the plan and pricing. I specifically asked how much it would be, and the office lady looked up my insurance plan in front of me and told me I had 50% ortho coverage. I then agreed that I could create a plan for the remaining half. A week later, when I received my first yhree trays and went to pay, I was told it would be the full amount- $2400. I asked about my insurance and she told me I didnt have it. When she (the office lady) called me back to discuss this further, she was incredibly rude, interrupted me, and lied. She told me she never told me that, I didnt understand the insurance and that wasn't her fault, she never said anything about coverage. When I told her multiple times that she had because otherwise I would not have agreed to this plan, she refused to acknowledge it and said she wouldnt be going back and forth with me. They were not able to work any sort of plan that I could afford, only 6 months (which was still too much) and refused to accept any other plan moving forward or accept any responsibility in the misshap. I even offered to pay for the trays that I had today since I also didnt fully understand my insurance (which I shouldnt have had to) and she kept telling me she would have to consult with the doctor. When I asked to speak to the doctor, since I no longer trusted her and preferred to do the communication, she told me I could try to reach out and she was ending the conversation, then hung up. My mom had a similar incident regarding the office lady and insurance. She tells you information completely uninformed and then makes you feel stupid when her information is wrong. I absolutely do not recommend coming here. She doesn't know what she is doing and is very rude. read more

Far more expensive than my local family dentist. They raised their prices to the point where its almost as if you're paying full price for a filling at another cheaper doctor, with no insurance... They put "uncoded charges" onto bills - and then say "oh....that must be a gingivitis treatment thats standard procedure"....at 288 dollars!! I booked a saturday appointment three months in advance, I showed up fifteen minutes early - I waited an HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES and did not get seen. They told me I'd need to reschedule because they were "Short handed" that day.. Had to make an appointment for two months later.. Showed up... waited 45 minutes after arriving on the dot. Then got seen by a volunteer from another dentists office?? She didn't know how to work any of their imaging equipment. I had to put the digital image piece inside my mouth and hold it in there myself. She cut up the roof of my mouth badly. We'll be finding another dentist. read more

First off took her 5 weeks to do a root canal and was in a ton of pain while she took her time. Had three teeth filled as well. Some time later. In a matter of one week. All three fillings fell out. Noticed something was wrong from the beginning with how raised and how they were cutting my gums. She said it was okay. Never will use this butcher shop again. read more

I had a frustrating time with post-service billing issues. This is an okay place if you are getting regular cleaning BUT when they start doing other procedures that is when you go into not so good territory of dealing with them. All the sweet talk during the procedures can be a headache afterwards. Be very vigilant after you book an appointment, check what they are doing is necessary and the billing makes sense. In Dec 2012, I called New Age Dental Care and told the office my son needed cavity filling treatment. I asked if the dentist of New Age Dental Care is an in-network doctor of Delta Dental (my dental insurance carrier). The answer is "Yes". I took my son to this dental office for treatment. During the treatment I was presented a treatment plan with fees listed and asked to sign the plan. I explicitly told the office that I cann't judge the fees and medical neccessity of al listed treatments, but will be responsible for what my insurance company asks me to pay. The dentist, Dr. Kadaris, was able to complete about half of the listed treatment on the day of first visit. Below are some facts which may help you to decide whether this dental office is suitable for your dental care need. 1) Before leaving the office on the first visit, I made an appointment to visit this office in early Jan. 2013 to complete the 2nd half of the planned remaining treatments. I informed the office that my dental insurance carrier will be switched to United Concordia Dental. Nobody in this office told me Dr. Kadaris is not an in-network doctor of United Concordia. 2) At the time of making appointment, I was asked to put down $150 as deposit for keeping the Jan. 2013 appointment time slot, and I did. 3) A day before my son's scheduled Jan. 2013 appointment, I went to this office and provided my new dental insurance carrier information and informed the office that my son will come to the appointment withou my accompany. Again, nobody in this office informed me that Dr. Kadaris is not an in-network doctor of United Concordia. 4) My son went to this office alone to complete the 2nd half of planned treatment on the appointment day, and I paid co-pay over the phone for the treatments performed on that day at the end of the appointment. 5) A while later I learned that this dental office did not return my $150 deposit to my credit card on the same day of the appointment as it should legally. 6) When I called to question why the office didn't return my deposit, to my big suprise, this time the office told me that Dr. Kadaris is an out of network doctor of United Concordia, my dental insurance company didn't pay what the doctor had charged, and I should be responsible for the difference. As a result, I now have a small credit equal to $150 less the difference between what the doctor charged to insurance and what insurance company actually paid the doctor. 7) I called to ask if Dr. Kadaris can waive the difference between what she charged to insurance and what insurance company actually paid her given the situation that I was not made aware by her office that she is not an in-network doctor for me to make an informed decision in selecting doctor for health care need. The response I recieved from this office is she can't legally do this, but she will guranteer the quality of her professional work. 8) As a matter of fact, in early Feb. 2013, about a month after the 2nd treament, my son called me, saying "Dad, the filling in one tooth dropped out". He was advised to see a different dentist for help. We also reported this incident to this office. 9) My co-pay cost paid to this office for the cavity filling treatment plan was a good several hundreds of dollars. read more

Dr. Eugenia Kardaris was so helpful, caring and patient!! When I walked in Dr. Kardaris and Carol were super inviting!!! Dr. Kardaris helped take out my earrings for my x-rays. Then when it was time to do my cleaning, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She helped me get over my fear of going to the dentist by having genuine conversation with me as well as making sure that she was not hurting me. I paid New Age Dental Care over 5k in cash for my Invisalign Program. She spent 2 years trying to convince me to start this program. I was told that this program would include all of my trays, the work done throughout the program, and the retainer that would come following the program. I started the program on July 23rd and had 5 check-ups between then and November 5th. One of these visits included work on a couple of brackets that had come off. During this time, my husband and I found out that we were being relocated due to his work. I realized that I was going to have to transfer my program to a new location near our new home 9 hours away. New Age Dental offered a virtual program which would require me to do video calls, and send pictures of my teeth throughout the remainder of the program. It would require that I travel the 9 hours back to Chesterfield at the end of the program to have the brackets removed, and be fitted for the retainer. This would require additional fees for travel including gas and/or airline tickets, and taken up PTO time. My new orthodontist suggested that I request that the program be transferred. The estimate they gave me was around 6k for all the work they would do for me throughout the remainder of my program. When I told them I had already financially invested in the program, they said I should get a refund from New Age Dental Care, since they would not be seeing me through to the end of the program, as promised. When New Age Dental Care was asked for a refund, they said that they would not refund a single dollar because I had been given the option to do virtual care. I never signed a contract saying that the amount was non-refundable. I've asked them to send me my records multiple times and have received nothing. Now I have no money to continue with a local provider. New Age Dental Care has put me in a position where my options are either to go without care or to spend more money than what I paid for the program that was promised to me. Will never be going here again. Dentist is rude and overcharges for everything. Staff don't know teeth from an elbow. The billing lady has no idea what anything is. I'd be suprised if she knew anything about dental at all. Terrible assistants I have been there twice in a month to find different staff except the receptionist who is incredibly rude. I had to go twice because the filling fell out, so much for the expensive filling material. Here is a few of my family's experiences with New Age Dental (we gave them a few tries): Bad breathe from the male dentist that you can smell through his mask as he works on you, a hygienist who was sick and was coughing & sneezing while working on one of my family members (her mouth was open during all of this, gross!), painful cleanings that we all endured. I have been to several dentists in my life & cleanings never felt like this. We were bleeding from a simple cleaning. We all make regular visits, so it was not like it was 10 years of build-up. Some of the staff is still in school/training, so there wasn't a very experienced team. They will not stop calling/mailing post cards to get my business. After numerous phone calls to ask them to stop calling/mailing post cards, I continue to be contacted. The contact is usually every month or two, but we haven't used them in years! This has now become harassment. Stay away and find a dentist office that has a veteran/professional staff. read more

This place is a complete, overpriced rip-off with expensive treatments that require multiple office visits, which is probably done on purpose in my opinion. While the staff is nice, this place is more about getting your money instead of providing meaningful patient care and treatment; they even go as far as to employ scare tactics to get you to go beyond your dental coverage, such as posters in the office that say something along the lines of "Limiting yourself to your dental plan coverage is hazardous to your dental health (with the word "dental" crossed out). Fare warning from this Yelp reviewer, DO NOT SEE DR. KARDARIS! I have been to this office a few times and I have seen and experiences things that will make me never step foot back in this office. 1) There are constantly different staff in this office, the only one that is constant is Dr. Kardaris. The front desk people you are lucky to see twice, on your next visit they will mostly likely have changed. The hygienist and assistants in back change just as often. Staff don't know how to do their job either in front or in back. It seems like they have not been trained on equipment in the office. A girl from the front desk had to be called to the back to show the medical staff how to work the xray machine. 2) I have time and time again had problems with billing in this office. I was constantly over charged and found errors on bills that I was sent, even sent to collections on 'mistake' and had to call the office several times before it was fixed. I think this has a lot to do with the constant change of staff and not knowing what to do. 3) I was lied to about insurance, or very miss lead. I was told when I called the first time that they work with all insurances to maximizes my benefits, makes you think your in-network after you ask if your insurance is in-network for their office. While in FACT yes they will submit to your insurance but that does not mean you are getting in network prices and benefits. I did not know this until it was to late and I got my paperwork back from the insurance company. 4) Once Dr. Kardaris does get to finally see you she took very few moments to actually sit with me and very quickly lists a very long treatment plan that will cost for me over 5,000 dollars!! Instead of spending her time with me explaining what she is diagnosing me with she spends most of her time trying to talk to into starting treatment this week and paying for it all NOW, today. Explained as they do treatment they will subtract the credit form my account that I paid, she didn't like the idea of me paying as treatment was done. When told I don't have that money to pay today she presses very hard to use carecredit, my only thought that she must get a kickback from them. Since she didn't explain much to me in way of treatment she had the hygienist play videos on the computer in the room, I would rather have a discussion with my doctor instead of video I can look up online. I was quickly ushered into a small office where doctor even went as far as to have one of her girls sit with me and try to get me to apply to carecredit. Dr. Kardaris had even let me know that her staff would help me apply with my sensitive information and a very easy process I could do on my own. So we could know right away if I was approved and for how much, which really I feel is none of her business. I went back a few times to have a deep cleaning done but just kept having a bad feeling so I went to another local dentist for a second opinion, this second dentist said I did not need a deep cleaning and that I need treatment that cost me only $400 a lot less then what Dr. Kardaris said. This other office had prices that were much lower priced and the new doctor did not agree with almost the entire treatment plan form Dr. Kardaris. So I won't be going back to this office and I hope this review helps others to stay far away read more

This place is a SCAM! When I went there the assistant did not even know how to turn on the x-ray machine and they told me I had 10 cavities and I am a teeth perfectionist and have never had a cavity as an adult. They also said I had severe gingivitis and needed $10,000 worth of work done on my teeth. The lies they were saying were just so ridiculous it was almost funny. I knew they were a scam because before I left they said I needed to signed up for there dental care credit card and they will put all my dental bills on it. I would caution anyone to think twice before having any major work done here. She is a very nice person and made me feel very comfortable with her level of knowledge and expertise, but I'm not sure my trust was well-founded. I also echo other reviewers about the price and billing issues as well as being suspicious about the amount of future work quoted. I let her start this future work with four fillings in the right side of my mouth. I've had a fair amount of dental work done in my life, but this was by far my worst experience. Four and a half hours! I could tell that she had quite a bit of trouble with a few of the fillings. I'll leave out all the gory details, but needless to say I've had pain in that side of my mouth for 9 months since the initial procedure. I worked with her for the next few weeks to modify the bite and make some other adjustments, but she started charging for her time. I did not think that was fair, but whatever. I changed dentists and found an endodontic specialist. Since then, and on the same teeth, I've had two root canals (one retreatment), one repair to one of her fillings, one extraction with a second scheduled for tomorrow, multiple visits to my new dentist and specialist with multiple bite adjustments and other tests/procedures, antibiotics, steroids, and thousands of ibuprofen. My wallet is considerably lighter, as you can imagine. I'm hopeful that pulling the second tooth tomorrow will be the end of this terrible experience. I like to think I'm generally a reasonable person and so I am not comfortable pinning this all on her. I understand that it could have been a horrible coincidence. However, I have to think there are better options in the area for someone considering similar treatment. I won't provide any suggestions, lest this review seem like something that it's not. I was reluctant to write this review without any clear evidence of her wrongdoing, but if I can save someone from what I've gone through, it will have been the right thing to do. read more

Needed to find a new dentist, and just needed a cleaning so I booked with them after finding them online. The front office people genuinely have very little clue about what is going on. Technology such as email and typing completely flummoxed them repeatedly. The hygienist told me right up front that it was her "first day," which was proven almost immediately because she couldn't figure out how to operate the bitewing machine. She got no help, so she went "old school" and used another x-ray machine. She didn't correctly operate the little video camera they had, so that part of the appointment took a very long time. I was already invested in this appointment more than an hour before the actual cleaning began. Then, the hygienist specifically told me that today was actually a "working interview" for her. Eventually, the dentist came over, and without even looking inside my mouth for one second, declared that they found what they indicated were some really horrible things wrong with my teeth, and tried really hard to get me to commit to multiple appointments THIS WEEK to get them fixed. Yeah, uh, nope. Gonna need a second opinion on that. The hygienist was decent, I think, but the overall experience was baffling and mindboggling. I had not been to the dentist in 6 years, and didn't want to go. I went to New Age thinking it would be a different experience, and I was correct, but not the kind of different I had hoped for. They quoted me over $9,000 in procedures that "needed" to be carried out. I took out a care credit loan to cover the costs and proceeded to have the work done. The office staff was nice, but the work was extremely painful and the pain lasted for weeks. It was the most painful experience I have ever had at the dentist, I could not afford any of the sedation options. After 2 visits I decided not to go back, cancelled the loan and went back to my old dentist. Turns out I only needed $600 in work to be done. He was astounded when I told him what I was quoted by Kardaris, but not surprised. The entire staff had heard similar stories about her and I have read many online. I used to not like my old dentist, now I like him. I have read almost the exact story on other reviews about New Age, what she did should be illegal and I should report her to some dental ethics entity, but also just want to move on. read more

TERRIBLE. Had 4 appointments there-I am one of those people who really dreads going to the dentist. The first 3 appointments went ok although the wait was long each time. The last appointment was the worst. I am on a budget and given my fear of dentist I opted to get nitrous for half of each appointment (so 1 hour of nitrious each visit) because that's all I could afford. The appointment started ok but the dentist got up to see other patients MANY times during my appointment. Long story short the 2 hour appointment turned into 4 hours because of all the waiting, I had to be re-numbed because she took so long to get back to me, and then they CHARGED me for the extra time on nitrous even though it was their fault that I was there so long! They did not care one bit that I had to spend extra money I couldnt afford to spend because of their neglect nor did they offer to discount it for me. Did I mention the dental assistant did 2 of my fillings and they left me alone in a room with nitrous on for a half hour?? Do yourself a favor-don't go here and find a real dentist read more
