A lady answers, when you ask for a certain person she then states that she's working from home and to hang up the phone and call back so someone else will answer. Bad way to handle a business phone. They either need to get it together, the owners of the business need to Clean office and find more reputable better people with more knowledge of what's going on, or shut the place down. If you are a caregiver with senior helpers, please find you a better company to work for.

Although…read morethe Branch Manager apologizes and expresses she understands the frustrations of the issues brought to her attention, it has not improved the quality of staff communication or client care related to my father's care. These issues have been exhausting. When we started with this company in February 2021, our family was assured by Senior Helpers that caregivers were available to accommodate the hours needed for my father's care. We had problems from the beginning. During our in-home assessment with Senior Helpers, it was discovered that our client hours didn't match the client hours in their paperwork. We were informed by the Senior Helper's representative that this was an easy fix and would be taken care of when she returned to the office. This issue was not taken care of. My father's CHOICES care manager had a difficult time reaching the Senior Helper's client service manager before resolving this issue in May 2021. The second issue came about in April 2021 when we saw our beloved caregiver place our floor mop inside of our kitchen sink filled with dishwater and dishes to mop the kitchen floor. On the same day, this caregiver reached in a pot of food with her hand and ate directly from the pot twice. I shared both videos with Senior Helper's and asked for another caregiver. The third issue presented itself when a caregiver did not want to do light cleaning or errands. This caregiver had my father to call me to make sure she had to mop the kitchen floor. When I replied, "if it needs to be mopped yes, if not no" she went on to ask if he could wait and let someone else take him to the store because he takes a long time and she didn't read English well. I replied, "sure, don't worry about it". I placed a call to the Senior Helper's on call personnel that very day requesting another caregiver (April 2021). When my father no longer had full coverage of care from this agency, family members stepped in M-F to ensure he would not be neglected; due to Senior Helpers failing to do so. Beginning May 2021, we only requested weekend coverage. I requested to have one caregiver committed for both days because it would be more beneficial for my father's care. The forth issue came about when we learned that a caregiver was told it was alright to work partial shifts on Sundays instead of the full 8 hr shift. No one from Senior Helpers notified us of about accepting these partial shifts. This issue was highlighted in June 2021 when I called the office to check weekend coverage. I was told Saturday and Sunday were covered with the caregiver only working 2 hrs of his allocated 8 hr shift on Sunday. The reason given by the staff for the 2 hr time was that the caregiver had a funeral to attend. Although we felt bad for the caregiver, my immediate response was that the caregiver not come at all on Sunday because 2 hrs will not cover the 8 hr care needed to provide his meal prep and medicine reminders. Because the Nashville office at Senior Helpers has not been consistent in communication, I often have to call to find out if we will have coverage each week. The following week, I called Senior Helpers to check weekend coverage for my father's care and was told that my father was covered for the next two weekends. However, the next Sunday was a partial shift. SMDH My response was AGAIN was that partial coverage does not help us. I also responded no, when asked by the scheduler if I wanted any partial coverage. During this weekend shift (the last weekend of June 2021) the caregiver expressed an interest in working weekends on the regular basis. She offered to come the next day if available. Nonetheless, we still ended up with no one on Sunday. As for the following weekend (first in July 2021) no call no show on Saturday and no coverage on Sunday. I don't know how patient one should be, at this point we don't feel that the staff at Senior Helpers even care about my father's well-being or even expect quality care anymore.

They did a complete profile, determined her needs and the expectations and filled every shift starting the next morning. For 9 weeks, we had an excellent caregiver each and every day - on time. Once the schedule was finalized, we were able to have the same 2 care givers 7 days a week. When we needed 24/7 care for a period of time, the same caregivers went to 12 hour shifts to cover the needs. They attended to the needs of my wife, provided good conversation while she was bedridden, kept her well-nourished and reminded her of medication times when needed. Schedule adjustments were handled efficiently. Most importantly, my wife appreciated the care and concern of the team and they helped both her physical and mental recovery. I would recommend Senior Helpers.

AVOID THIS AGENCY. We have used Senior Helpers for about 3 years for my dad. Most of the caregivers…read moreare good (not all of them) but the company itself is very unreliable. They don't communicate consistently - and sometimes not at all - when a scheduled caregiver won't be there, when they are replacing a scheduled caregiver with someone else, etc. Every time I complain they apologize and say they will make sure it doesn't happen again. Recently a manager explained that they were bringing scheduling or something in house, which was going to fix the problems. It absolutely has not. Just this week, there have been 2 overnight shifts no one showed up for and they never called to let us know no one was coming. The first time, my brother called 30 min past scheduled shift start to tell them know one showed - the person who answered said they would let him know if they could find a replacement but they never did. Last night, he left a message when no one showed up and they never called him back. I am actively looking for alternatives so we don't have to use them anymore.

One would think the medical industry had appropriate staffing to handle transfers at any time. We were told by the hospital case manager that we were good to go and Natalie at NHC said come over, Mom was discharged and I showied up 2 hours later only to be told she would not be admitted since they couldn't get her meds on a holiday weekend...what a joke - my 83 yr old Mom sitting in the car and being told to take her back to the hospital for 2 more days. It's not that simple. TERRIBLE- I will take my money somewhere else and be sure to tell everyone I meet that this place is not only unprofessional but super dark and depressing inside. After seeing the place I am glad it worked out the way it did.
