My 89.5 year old friend was put on home hospice late on a Tuesday afternoon. We contacted Senior Helpers to arrange 24/7 care to be with her at her independent living apartment. Senior Helpers sent someone at 8pm that same Tuesday evening to stay until 8am the next morning. They then scheduled all 24 hour shifts with a variety of excellent caregivers who were there until she took her last breath. The communication was stellar, the on site log they kept clear and concise, everyone I met was helpful, kind, caring and thoughtful. The fact that Senior Helpers could create a schedule that worked so well with almost no notice is impressive. I would use this service again and highly recommend the business and their staff to anyone needing kindness and assistance. I signed up to use Senior Helpers for my father. He is recently widowed and was undergoing prostrate surgery. I wrote a check for the deposit, and also paid an amount that my dad owed when my mom used the service. Now, Turns out that my dad is not going to need senior helpers. The deposit check was cashed. I am still waiting a month later to have them return the unused deposit returned to me. I am hoping they are going to do so soon. It's almost 300.00 dollars. read more
