I am beyond upset and honestly appalled by what happened with Infinity Hospice. The nurses who came out were compassionate and professional--but the care coordinator completely failed us, and the consequences have been devastating. I originally reached out because we believed my husband was coming home to pass. Then everything changed--he had surgery, and it saved his life. I immediately informed the Infinity representative that he would now be discharged home with Home Health through the hospital. He told me, verbatim, "We do the same care as home health. We actually compete with the insurance companies and hospitals," and went on to assure me that my husband would actually receive more attentive care through their services. In that moment, it sounded like the best possible option. It was not. Because of that guidance, my husband was discharged on a Friday night under hospice care--completely inappropriate for his condition. When the nurses arrived, they began discussing comfort measures and medications to keep him "comfortable," and that's when it hit me something was very wrong. Having cared for my own parents at end of life, I knew this was not what he needed. I was then told I had been "misinformed." What followed was nothing short of a nightmare. For the entire weekend, we had: No support for his newly placed GI tube No instructions on how to avoid complications with the PEG or to even care for the point of insertion No chance of even getting an order for the formula needed to for nutritional needs (and remember he came home a day after surgery). Ensure was not going to cut it No medical guidance since the hospital thought he was going home on hospice I had to resort to searching online just to figure out how to properly clean the tube and discovered no peroxide or alcohol for cleaning. The hospital could not intervene because hospice had already taken over. I reached the Infinity representative the following day (he did not even bother to call me since the incident discovery), hen finally called back late in the afternoon and apologized for the "miscommunication" and claimed he was trying to fix the discharge orders. Then he disappeared. No follow-up. No accountability. Nothing. I had to text him, once again, to express my disappointment. He sent a text apologizing. (thanks) Because of this, we had no choice but to take my husband back to the ER just to get him re-admitted--so he could be discharged properly with the care he should have had all along. The damage is done. My husband is now significantly weaker. What should have been a recovery period turned into unnecessary suffering, confusion, and decline. I did everything I could in the meantime--ensuring he had nutrition as best as possible--but it was not enough without proper nutrition from the formula mix he would have had (prescription - not over the county). And the most heartbreaking part? We may now actually need hospice...because of what this "miscommunication" caused. This was not a small mistake. This was a catastrophic failure in guidance and responsibility. The emotional toll, physical decline, and chaos this created for our family is beyond words. Completely unacceptable. read more

My mom has been on hospice since September. I will do an updated review once I have experienced all the services. Lauren, who was the one to sign her up, was friendly and resourceful. I am hoping to see more of this, in staff. Kim, mom's nurse, has been a good support system. Probably key in this situation . Monique, mom's CNA, has been helpful and a bright spot, twice a week! The We Honor program had a wonderful ceremony celebrating my late dad's military service and my mom as a navy spouse! I am still waiting to know about respite care, companionship for mom, and spiritual care. My mom's faith is very important to her and I have asked 3 times, for someone to talk with her. Our family never visits my mom, so I was hoping hospice could provide that. The social worker did recommend grief counseling, after I asked, but I am still seeking more for my mom. Like I said, I will update once I experience more. So far, some questions have been answered and problems solved. Kim, the nurse, has been a big help and information and supplies needed. read more

My father needed to be placed on Hospice. The hope was to get him strong enough to be able to go and do the things he wanted to do before he was too sick to do. Teresa Blume, Ella Pierson, Sonja and everyone were so incredibly nice and understanding. I personally want to thank Teresa Blume the most as she was my dads nurse. She handled everything with such grace, kindness and patience. She prayed for my sister and I after our father passed. She was the nicest person I've ever encountered and will forever be grateful for her. I highly recommend Infinity Hospice for all of your hospice needs. They are amazing! read more

Infinity Hospice Care is staffed by angels! Putting my mom on hospice was a tough, but mutual decision that has really benefitted her health and peace of mind. Where to begin, Infinity Hospice Care has been amazing to work with. When my Dad was released from Saint Mary's Hospital we realized we needed home care established quickly without compromising his quality of life, independence and critical health needs. We could not be happier with their team's services. Our first contact was Jim who met us at the hospital and discussed their services and support capabilities. He was kind and respectful of the difficult situation that our family was faced with and listened to our concerns and answered all our questions. But the real difference was quickly revealed through the home care team assigned to my Dad's needs. Mariah is our Case Nurse Assistant (CNA) assigned to support my Dad's hygienic needs and basic care. I can not say enough about Mariah's gentleness and kindness shown to not only my Dad but our entire family. She is kind, professional, and respectful in all her efforts and actions supporting my Dad's needs. She encourages his independence yet provides him with assistance where needed. She keeps a smile on his face despite the challenges he faces. I often say she is our family's Angel and I see how much my Dad appreciates her partnership as a critical caregiver. Our entire family is indebted to her for giving us the support and kindness that has helped us maintain a positive outlook despite the realities of his terminal prognosis. Equally important is Dad's Case Nurse, Joel. Not only has Joel arranged timely delivery of critical medications, he oversaw ordering and delivery of key home safety equipment. Equally important is how Joel handled our flurry of questions with warmth, compassion and understanding. Helping a loved one navigate life changing events which require establishing home care is not easy. But our experience with Infinity Hospice Care team has been incredible. Kelly is our Infinity Hospice Care Social Worker who continues to check in and help us navigate other services that their team can assist us with. Truly the Infinity Hospice Care team's support from the first day of engagement throughout our use of their home care program has been nothing but exceptional! When I realized I was taking my husband home with hospice, I had no idea what to expect. The admissions representative Mylissa came to the hospital and took care of everything. By 11 o'clock the next morning my husband's room was equipped with all durable medical equipment necessary, as soon as we got home the nurse Lori came to visit and brought all the paperwork. I received a call from their social worker who was amazing and supportive. The next day I met our CNA's, Ashley and Amber Who walked in, took charge, knew exactly how to handle my difficult husband and in no time they had him bathed , shampooed in clean clothes and fresh linens. I can't even begin to thank them for the quality of care, the kind compassion and the friendly support they gave me. They gave me a heads up when they were coming and arrived with all the supplies I needed. They supported me when I was melting down and I felt very secure with them. I had three nurses during his care, Lori, Joel and Kendall, all professional, kind, compassionate Who never failed to Return my calls when I was having a moment or just had a question. No matter what I needed whether it be medication or supplies they did not waste time and provided whatever I needed in a timely fashion. What can I say about DeJuana, chaplain for Infinity? My spiritual counselor Who came whenever I called her, prayed with me and boosted me when I was feeling overwhelmed and tired. Raelene , the voice on the phone who greets me with " Hello PJ" before I say one word. The person who listens to me even when I drone on or just need to vent, she is wonderful. Roberto the wonderful man who delivers my DME or comes if something is not working, such a nice professional man. Cody Zamora, the head of this amazing team, you are very special. You have been in my corner from day one , when I was freaking out about the transfer to home health, you listen to me and answered my questions, I know I must have worn you out with my insecurity and fears but you were kind and patient, thank you. The transfer was smooth, you took care of everything, thank you. And Dr Basa thank you thank you for caring so much about my husbands care. Infinity Hospice is an incredible organization with the most professional and compassionate team. You made a difficult time in our lives easier and we appreciate your kindnesses. SHAME, SHAME. FUCKING SHAME. There is no way in hell the treatment my family received is acceptable. The way you treated my father-in-law in his final days is despicable. This poor man couldn't even pass with dignity. He was under your care, if you can even call it care, and you failed him and his family miserably. How you could call yourself hospice care is beyond me. The negligence of your "nurses" is unfathomable. After you set my FIL up in my mom's house, you basically left him to die. They didn't even bother to check his vitals, which is the bare minimum of what they should've done. He didn't receive a medication he was prescribed BY YOU, because you waited until a few days into everything to tell anybody that he "wasn't in your system". Explain that to me. How is he not in your system when there was a nurse that was assigned to come by, whose care was questionable at best, to check on him? You abandoned him, his care, and his family in their time of need. You should be ashamed of yourselves. It has been nothing but problem after problem with you. YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO HOSPICE CARE. You were called this afternoon because your patient passed away. You called two hours later, refusing to pick him up. Why? Good question. You concocted a scenario. You pulled shit out of your ass, claiming that you were threatened by my grieving mother who just wanted you to pick up her husband's body. How fucking dare you. His body sat for HOURS because of you. And when you did deign to notify my mother that you weren't coming, you were so incredibly disrespectful. SO fucking disrespectful. The sheriff's office had to be called to declare him deceased. They treated his passing like a crime scene, taking photos of him and documenting everything. (As they should, that's their job.) My siblings had to zip him up in a body bag and place him in the medical examiner's van themselves. HOURS after he should've been transported by YOU. All because you couldn't pull yourselves together and you jumped at shadows in the daytime. How dare you. Shame, shame. Fucking shame. read more

We are new to Infinity Hospice that so far they are assigned to help keep my wife comfortable in her remaining days. Here is why I give them only one star but we will see if things improve. 1. The staff on the phone and that initially register the patient do not always tell you the truth or they hide the truth. They tried to get me to sign their agreement when some of the statements in it were incorrect, like my wife had recovered from total paralysis on the left side of her body when that was not the case. I refused to sign but they tried to talk me into it. Instead of making things happen to help the patient they make excuses as to why the people didn't show up as promissed, the drugs didn't arrive when they said they would, etc. 2. They told me the local hospital would not do certain procedures that I knew they would, like provide a drain for my wifes lung which was full of fluid. 3. My wifes doctor sent them information that she needed her lung drained and a perminate drain installed and for a week we never heard a word out of Infinity, than when we did they said they would not arrange for the procedure to be done. When her case nurse finally contacted us a she said she would arrange for the procedure but a week had already passed, initially told me it couldn't be done at the local hospital and she would have to travel 50 miles to another city to get it done, all of which was untrue. When I objected and she found that it could be done locally the issue is now scheduling as a week has already passed since our doctor ordered the procedure. 4. The nurse interviewed my wife to determine her pain level but appeared to be trying to talk her into much stronger pain medication than she needed as we want to keep her mind with us as long as possible and not dope her up to where she doesn't know what day it is until she actually needs the pain medication. 5. Infinity told me thay have someone who can be with my wife if I needed to go to the store or into town for some reason. I ask if they are able to assist my wife if she needed to use the bathroom and they said no. I ask them if they actually thought I would leave her with someone who was no help? There is more I could discuss but my point is be careful with Infinity as they appear to be more interested in getting paid by the insurance company than actually helping with keeping the patient comfortable and they will lie to you. Remember you are in charge but they will try to make you think you no longer are part of the process. read more

I've been with infinity since August this year (2022). After almost two years of hospital stays, multiple surgeries and extreme mistreatment by multiple traditional institutions and inept practitioners; I had enough Although my condition is terminal, the staff at infinity has given me optimism. I am receiving the best care I have in the last ten years. They are responsive, professional and caring. They have helped me feel as comfortable as possible, The CNA to which I am assinged is wonderful. We've built a repour of trust and mutual respect. Infinity Hospice abandoned our family on the last day of my husband's life. Although I repeatedly called and texted I could not get a nurse out to seem him from 8 am until his death at around 9 pm. I was repeatedly told he was not transitioning so he wasn't as important as other patients who were. The after hours nurse hung up on my husband when he begged her to come. With my paralyzed right leg and neuro issues I was left alone to handle his e tanks as my son was in NYC. I was told the next day by his case manager that Infinity had failed us on so many levels yet Cory the owner never reached out. I did receive a boilerplate text from the chaplain 5 days later with my name mispelled. Don't use them. See a review on their site which describes Infinity leaving an uncles body in his home after he died. Again, the owner did not respond to the family. This happened 2 months ago. I didn't know what to expect once placing my husband in home hospice care, but it really helps! Joel is his nurse, and comes to our home once a week and keeps tabs on his vitals, his meds and other areas of need. I think he coordinates all services and keeps me informed. Mariah is his CNA, and come here twice a week. My husband looks forward to her visits. It was a great decision to select Infinity Hospice Care!! read more

I feel like there are many areas for improvement. I felt like we were left on our own without any training or information on how to help my mom cross over without anxiety and fear. She was probably having something like terminal restlessness when Infinity guessed she might be having low blood sugar and just needed juice. This was not the case when she passed away. It is possible we could have helped her pass more peacefully had we known to get her Lorazepam. Infinity needs to make sure that family members know what to do in this crisis situation. They also need to improve on their communication with the people they are serving. We had to call a number of times for supplies. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONE!!!!! My mother's husband was sent home on hospice care on a weekend. The weekend "nurse" refused to answer any questions my mother had about the next steps in this process, claiming "she doesn't care because she's just the weekend nurse and she'll never see the patient again." We had to BADGER the company to send someone out to check on her husband, and when they arrived, they did NOT check on him at all. They had ZERO answers for anything and left in a rush. When the "nurse" finally showed up the NEXT DAY, he also did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to check on my mother's husband. Instead, he spewed BS to my mother and then left. The medication my mother's husband needed to ease the death rattle NEVER SHOWED UP, despite them saying it would be delivered by mail SEVERAL DAYS IN A ROW just to find out he was NEVER ENTERED INTO THE SYSTEM FOR THE MEDICATION!!!! Not only did my mother have to suffer all day watching her husband go through the death rattles, she was fed LIES about when the medication would arrive. No one EVER came to help clean him up, my mother is 72 years old and cannot lift him by herself to clean him. THEY ARE NEGLIGENT, DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO ANY HOSPICE CARE! I'll be reporting them to the BBB and making sure they are NEVER in charge of any of my loved ones again. They should be ashamed of themselves and EMBARRASSED at the "care" they claim to provide. This company is horrible. They will push you to go from palliative care to hospice because it is more money and then when you make the switch the care is horrible. A different nurse every visit. No compassion. My step-mother who was my father's caregiver overdosed on his morphine and died. My stepsister called the on call nurse to evaluate my Dad, she was concerned about him after finding her Mom in cardiac arrest and was rightfully traumatized. They did not come out. The next day she called saying she had no idea how to care for my Dad or what meds to give him, again they did not come out. The third day they finally came to the house and when I walked in the social worker Olga was in my Dads face yelling at him telling him he needed to sign papers to be discharged from their care because a week before he lit a cigarette while on oxygen and had burns all over his face. I agree 100% with him being discharged. He broke the rules. I do not agree with the standard of care or the way they treated my family. My Dad was crying saying he didn't understand. No one even tried to explain to him, just standing in his face telling him to sign. No empathy, no compassion. No one asked about his wife or even cared about her. When we asked for a referral we were told to google hospices. We did just that and found an amazing hospice in Reno. Summit View Hospice was amazing and took phenomenal care of my Dad. read more

As an employee I have never worked somewhere so patient driven. Infinity and every person who works for them, their only worry is the patient & their loved ones. Sending flowers & cards after a passing & even providing services to the family after their loved one has passed . The patient care we are trained to provide is NOTHING like ive ever seen before. The company loves its employees & makes working there a treat not a chore. I love waking up for work & working for a real good cause. Not a money hungry company. My 36 year old son died in February, 2020. I dont know how we would of handled the situation without the help of everyone at Infinnity, from the first phone call to sending flowers after the passing of my son. I had had a terrible, terrible experience with a local hospice 6 years ago so I was very hesitant. They took a huge weight and worry off of my shoulders from the very first phone call to the the initial visit for setup to the day he passed away and after. The compassion, sincerity, empathy and honesty given to us by everyone involved; nurse Kim, the social worker, our health aid who changed and bathed him, to the person answering phone calls at all hours was so soothing and caring. They talk a big game but they don't deliver. I have never had to deal with a management team that so poorly set my expectation and then didn't meet them. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to Infinity Hospice Care for your incredible services! My dad was ill for many years and lived years beyond his initial prognosis. When he turned the corner and his health went into freefall, Infinity Hospice Care swooped right in and greatly aided this tragic transition. Honestly, I don't know what we would have done without their services. They provided a hospital bed, round-the-clock support, pain management, home health care, and grief support for our family. No one can ever really be prepared for this part of life, and there are so many decisions that need to be made at a moment's notice...It is overwhelming and heartbreaking to say the least. Their nurses and nursing assistants were so incredibly kind and helpful, and they treated my dad with dignity, gentility and respect. And after he passed, they sent my mom a sweet single rosebud in a vase and a sympathy card. They have even followed up repeatedly with grief counseling for our family, which we are finally taking advantage of (he passed 3 months ago). Class act! Fortunately, my dad was able to pass at home, but they also provide general inpatient, respite, and continuous care in addition to routine home care. My heart goes out to you if you're shopping for hospice providers...Call Infinity. You'll be glad you did. read more

Do NOT choose Infinity hospice company if you value the care of your family and the time you have left with them!! My mother has been in a care facility in Reno and last week, at my family's request, the facility staff called an admissions person (more like a salesman) from Infinity hospice to come and evaluate my mom for hospice care. Two guys showed up, Cody and Brett and they were all smiles and very friendly at first when our family met them but that is where their professionalism ended. My sister explained to them that we were really pressed for time that afternoon and they said no problem, that they would take care of things quickly. The two salesmen left our mom's room to go talk to the social worker and we sat and waited and waited and WAITED for them to return with information. Finally my sister went to go find them and found the older sales rep from Infinity Cody, busy flirting with and chatting up one of the nurses in the hallway and stood there waiting for him long enough to hear that their conversation was not about a patient at all but instead about their plans to get together later, clearly for a date. When he and the nurse finally saw my sister standing there in the hallway waiting for them he tried to cover up his actions and stumbled across his words so much that it was obvious he hadn't been looking into our mom's case and care at all and didn't have ANY information for us yet. At this point my sister was now rushed and had to leave for work and so she tried to find Brett the younger sales rep to speak with him instead but he had disappeared completely. My sister went to management and then requested that they call a different hospice care company, that we definitely wouldn't be letting Infinty Hospice take care of our mom as their priorities showed very clearly that their patients' care and their families are not their first priority. First impressions are worth everything and apparently hooking up with facility staff and not taking care of their prospective patients is more important to them; I would hate to see the level of actual care my mom and our family would have received if we had chosen this company to take care of our mom in her last days. read more
