It was still completely worth it. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, BBQ bao buns, and the eel avocado sushi tacos. Every single thing was delicious. The egg rolls were crispy and packed with flavor, and the dipping sauce was so good I could have eaten it by itself. The bao buns were soft and flavorful, though one was a little cool in the center. The presentation was beautiful, and they were still very enjoyable. The real star of the meal was the eel avocado sushi taco. I originally ordered two and immediately wished I had ordered more. The combination of crispy seaweed, rice, avocado, and eel was incredible. If I could eat these every day, I absolutely would. My mom ordered the lo mein and loved it. They weren't stingy with the sauce, and the noodles looked amazing. Despite the unexpected power outage, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was still enjoyable, and we'll definitely be back. Bacon Steakie Bun: If a bao bun is on a menu anywhere, I'm definitely getting it! This bun was gently fried, setting it apart from the many bao buns I've eaten. It gave a nice texture contrast to the tender pork belly. Delish! Brussels Sprouts: I don't think I've ever gone to a restaurant and NOT ordered these mini cabbage-like delights! These may now hold the number one spot for me! Lemongrass, caramel, sea salt, and lemon juice. Perfectly crispy outside and just soft enough inside. The balance of sweet, salty, and acidic made these flavor bombs our favorite dish of the night! Takoyaki: another usual favorite of mine, but these were a bit underwhelming. While these are probably more authentic with the spring roll-like filling, I prefer the creamy, cheesy ones. Kani Salad: Another go-to item for us. A simple salad that for some reason just always makes us happy. Spring mix, crab sticks, cucumber, tempura flakes, and a spicy mayo dressing. Light, but full of flavor and texture. Truffle Hama: Yellowtail, avocado, truffle ponzu, and candied garlic, served under a smoke-filled glass. I just can't express how delicious this was! I will order this again there 10 out of 10 times. Sushi: We started with a piece of Smoked Salmon Belly Nigiri. Perfect! We then had a simple salmon and avocado roll. A really good classic sushi roll with very generous pieces of salmon and avocado. Trash Panda Roll: tuna, salmon, mango, grilled green onion, and crunchy garlic. Good flavors with good texture. Paradise Roll: a soy paper roll (I prefer the soy wrap to nori) with spicy lobster salad, shrimp tempura, topped with banana tempura and mango sauce. Very different with the tempura-fried banana on top, but really good! I especially liked the mango sauce on top. I would order that again.
