Once the team learned it was my birthday, Everyone stopped by to wish me happy birthday, making me feel truly celebrated. Our server, Miss North, was exceptional- she offered great recommendations and even brought me a birthday card signed by the entire staff. We started with the Caesar and wedge salads, then enjoyed the New York strip and cowboy steak with sweet potato souffle and lobster mac and cheese to share. Every bite was phenomenal. Owner Hellier visited our table- He apologized for not coming sooner because he'd been at the park serving meals to those in need. He shared that they do this every Sunday, feeding around a hundred people. The kindness from Hellier and the entire team was something you don't come across every day. To top off an already unforgettable night, they brought me a complimentary crème brûlée with a candle and happy birthday beautifully written on the plate. Easily the best crème brûlée I've ever had. Outstanding food, incredible service from Miss North, heartfelt hospitality from Hellier and the team, and a restaurant that truly cares. We can't wait to go back!

We made reservations for 7:00 pm and got completely thrown off because of the change in time zones! We were staying 20 min away in CST and the restaurant was in EST. We called and they were extremely accommodating and moved our reservation. Once we got there, we were immediately seated and had the best meal. Our waitress was great! The owner even came by to chat with us and was extremely welcoming. He came by again towards the end of our meal to basically let us know, "the restaurant closes at 10 but that's just for new diners. Please order more drinks and stay as long as you'd like." So sweet!! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back!

The oysters were salty and cold, delicious! The southwest egg rolls were crispy and delicious. Next we had the Philly cheesesteak and Cajun chicken pasta. The cheesesteak was cooked perfectly and loaded with peppers and onions, could have had more seasonings for my taste but still very good. The pasta was on point and very good. Full of flavor and the pasta was cooked just right. Service was quick, attentive and personable. The ambiance was really good. Set inside an old warehouse it was open and spacious. Pool tables, video games, large screen tvs and music that was just the right volume. Family friendly atmosphere but they do serve alcohol if that's an issue for you. Overall it was a very good experience and we highly recommend if you are in the area and don't want the run of the mill same ol same ol.

There's an easily accessible parking lot and the interior of the restaurant is impressively large, so it was easy to accommodate our whole group. It has a little bit of a warehouse feel still honestly, not too much of a coherent "theme," but it was clean and that's about all I personally require. Of note, there's a salad bar, which I know is a somewhat rare dining feature nowadays sought after by many people. Several in my party were thrilled to see it. Service was decent, definitely a little on the slow side though to be fair such a large group certainly might've been overwhelming. They did a good job making sure all our checks were in the correct order. Friendly enough, though noncommittal when it came to making recommendations or describing dishes in more detail. Overall, acceptable. I remember chuckling because someone asked about the chicken tenders and whether they were fresh or frozen and our waitress replied she was pretty sure they were frozen. Definitely appreciated the honesty lol though it's a bit disappointing to hear. Anyway, we ran the gamut on food, it felt like -- little bit of everything. The most popular order was definitely the Philly sandwich; that's what I got. Other orders included the endless salad bar, the smash burger, the fettuccine Alfredo, spicy cauliflower, and I think one person even got the oysters. I would say the food was also just okay. Due to the size of our party, I didn't hear comments from everyone about every item. Again, the salad bar was super well received. The smash burger was good, too, or so I'm told. For my Philly cheesesteak, I thought they skimped a little on the meat and what meat was there was tough and super thin -- reminded me of Steak-Umms. Despite the other toppings, it just wasn't as rich or flavorful as I expect of a cheesesteak. The fries were frozen then fried but at least had a nice little sprinkling of seasoning, salt, pepper, etc. The person who got the fettuccine alfredo was pretty unhappy; there wasn't much chicken in it and she said the noodles were beyond overcooked. She didn't eat even half of it. Overall, I'd rate this place as pretty average across all dimensions, with some strengths and some weaknesses. The salad bar and large, welcoming space were definitely the highlights for our party.

Chips and salsa were brought to the table without having to ask, which is always a welcome touch. Service was attentive considering there was only one server handling the floor. Props to them for keeping things running smoothly. The food was middle-of-the-road -- not the best Mexican I've had, but certainly not the worst either. If you're looking for a solid, no-surprises meal, it'll do the job. The atmosphere is actually one of the highlights. It's a nice bar setting, well-lit, and wasn't overly loud during our early visit -- easy to hold a conversation, which isn't always a given at a bar. Now, the restrooms could use some attention. They're a bit dated and in need of updating. I did get a chuckle out of the handwashing requirement sign posted prominently on the wall -- right next to the one soap dispenser that happened to be completely empty. It makes you wonder how closely that policy is actually enforced. Overall, La Cabaña by JUAN is a fine spot for drinks and a casual bite. Just maybe bring your own hand sanitizer.
