    Fried Oreos
    Jada P.

The customer service was really good, sadly, the food was not. My partner ordered the General Tso & the entire meal was not good at all. The rice was so sour, almost like it was drowned in salt. The chicken, also not great (barely even tasted like chicken). I ordered a JSU Roll with hopes it would taste good and fresh but you can clearly taste the staleness from the shrimp tempura inside the sushi that it is not freshly made. Other than that it was actually not too bad! But my partner's Mango smoothie tasted like watered down sugar :( my Strawberry Banana smoothie on the other hand was really good (highly recommend). We also got Fried Oreos but they also were not fresh. They were pretty soggy and didn't taste great either. For $36 it was not worth it :( Take your money elsewhere, or maybe just go for the Strawberry & Banana smoothies!

    More chicken than salad!!

This place is a favorite with locals. Owner Bob is the sweetest guy and makes great sushi. I love their tofu wrapped pieces.

It's really tucked away and off the beaten path where most other businesses are located. I went on a stormy night and was the only person there. Perhaps it was an off night. You could walk up to the counter and order or sit at the table. I decided to sit and eat. I ordered ramen and a sushi roll. The ramen was decent and better than I expected. The egg was cooked perfectly. The sushi roll was just ok. It was incredibly large and hard to eat. I would get the ramen again, but not the sushi if I return. Pros: the staff were extremely nice and the food came out rather quickly Cons: the dining room was quite dimly lit which could be a personal preference, the bathroom was so dirty that I decided not to use it Overall it was just an ok experience. I would possibly consider the food again, but most likely through take out if I did.

We ordered the Bulgogi Fries, Super Crunch Roll, Sesame Chicken with Rice, and Bang Bang Chicken with Rice--and everything was absolutely delicious. The Bulgogi Fries are the perfect mix of crispy fries loaded with tender marinated beef, drizzled with savory sauce, and topped with green onions--it's comfort food with a Korean twist, and we couldn't get enough! The Super Crunch Roll is a sushi lover's dream: crispy tempura shrimp, crab, and avocado rolled and topped with crunchy flakes and a drizzle of sweet eel sauce. The Sesame Chicken was crispy, saucy, and packed with flavor, while the Bang Bang Chicken delivered that perfect sweet-heat combo with a kick. Both rice dishes were generous and satisfying.

We started with the duck nachos, which were crispy, savory, & layered with flavor. It's a fun twist on traditional nachos and perfect for sharing! You can tell they put care into the quality of the steak. The ambiance really ties the whole experience together. The space has a warm, stylish feel with lighting that creates a cozy but elevated vibe. It felt like the perfect place for a date night or a relaxed but nice dinner out. Awkward Welcome, Bland Food, but Attentive Service Rating:…read more (2/5) Review (posted June 22, 2025): I visited Big Bear Asian Buffet at 6 PM on a Sunday evening, hoping for a fresh buffet experience during the dinner rush. Unfortunately, it fell short from the start. When I walked in, I followed the sign that said "Please wait to be seated." I stood there for several minutes as multiple waitresses looked at me but said nothing. It was uncomfortable. Eventually, a woman in a hoodie and sweatsuit appeared, said nothing, waved for me to follow her, and pointed at a table. Still no greeting, no words--just an awkward start to the meal. Once I was seated, one of the original waitresses came over to take my drink order. She ended up being the bright spot of the visit--very attentive and made sure my drink was always topped off. The food, however, didn't live up to expectations. Most of the hot dishes were lukewarm and lacked seasoning. I tried the sushi--five options total--and sadly, all were dry and very bland, like they'd been sitting out for a long time. Not what you'd hope for at prime dinner time. It's worth noting that the place seems to be a hotspot for locals picking up to-go boxes. I watched several people come in, pile food to the very top of their takeout containers, and head out within minutes. So maybe that's their main crowd--but it didn't do much to improve the dine-in experience. Bottom line: The service at the table was solid, but everything else--cold welcome, tired food, and lack of overall hospitality--makes it unlikely I'll return. There are better buffet options in the area where you'll feel like more than just another transaction.

This restaurant is really the best kept secret in Atlanta!…read more My family visited here this week for the first time since around 2014 and, despite our fears that it wouldn't live up to the great experience we had then, they EXCEEDED our expectations. We ordered so much and everything was delicious - nothing below an 8/10 in my opinion. We ordered the seafood spring rolls (8/10), crab benigets (8/10 with a special note of originality), and the shrimp appetizer (10/10). Spring rolls- very crispy and flaky, had the "sea floor" variety of seafood inside, flavorful 3 sauces to go with it Crab beignets- a slightly cheesy and airy beignet with a genius crab dip blend. The whole table was surprised on how good it was. Shrimp appetizer- the best "bang bang" shrimp I've had. Shrimps are very large and has a nice fruit salsa to go with. Everyone at the table loved their entrees but I can only truly speak for the ones I tried. Seafood Curry- I will NEVER eat curry anywhere else! I LOVEEEEE THIS CURRY! All the seafood is so fresh, the curry is so flavorful that I literally slurped the rest off my plate. There was also such a variety of veggies in there that were also very fresh and firm (not soggy). For the price especially, you get sooooo much and with such a thoughtful recipe. According to our waitress, it's the only recipe that hasn't changed since the restaurant opened in 2012! Fried chicken - I didn't try the chicken itself, but I did try the Mac and cheese and greens that came with it. Let me tell you, I am very picky about Mac and cheese and this rivals the best Mac and cheese I've had in Atlanta (toast on Lenox)! The greens were also fantastic and flavorful, but a little on the sweet side if that's what your preference is. For dessert, all 4 of us shared one slice of the suspension cake and couldn't even finish it! It was ginormous (literally the size of your head). I won't even go into details- just order it! The ambiance is so intimate and unique- not feeling like an "uptight" boujie restaurant, but curated and thoughtful. They have very nice seating outdoor that is enclosed as well as a beautiful bar area. Lastly, the service is fantastic. I genuinely can't recall my waitresses name, but they speak so highly of the head chef (Calvin) and most have worked there 8+ years, so it really feels like home. I write this review with hesitance because I want this place to remain a secret, but how could I not brag! Book the reservation!

I got steak and shrimp hibachi which I have purchased many times before as well. Upon arrival of our food, he tasted the Ramen first and made a terrible face so I tasted it as well and it absolutely awful . It did not have flavor, but somehow tasted burned at the same time. Truly inedible. My steak looked like fancy feast cat food and my shrimp tastes like it had been cooked in the microwave. We voiced our concern to the waitress, and her response was "have you never had it before?" to which we explained we had been there many times before and had gotten sushi and hibachi and had Ramen at other places many times. No one offered to make something different, an apology, or to maybe take that off of the check, because we did get one sushi roll that was great! They dropped our check off with the full amount and we left two full plates of food on our table. It was a disappointing experience and we will never be back. I would really like a refund for the Ramen and the hibachi, but since no solution was offered last night I'm not sure that there is one.

These are real deal professionals who illustrate just how important the people in a restaurant's front truly are. The food? Delicious. It's a wild grab bag of East Asian fare - Chinese, Japanese, Thai - and it's all done extremely well.
