Have a wonderful pair of HD 650 headphones that I love but that had an issue with an adapter + later with the headband. As an audiophile, I do my best to take care of my gear, but it can also go through rigorous use. During both occasions when I reached out to Sennheiser (to address the adapter issue + later a headband issue on the headphones -- with everything still under warranty), they delivered in a major way. I received the new adapter in the following business days and was also able to return my pair of headphones (that had gotten stuck, hence the headband issue) back to their repair repair center, it appears that they sent me a pair of like-new headphones that function perfectly. All of my correspondence (whether electronic or phone calls) has been crisp + their response has been extra helpful. Bravo Sennheiser for your world-class products & service. read more

Nah. I'm disappointed in their customer service. I've had a paid of Sennheiser phones for a while, but honestly I rarely used them, save for a flight to Peru, because frankly I've never liked the way they sounded. they sat in a closet like a misfit toy. Then all of the "paper"-like foam covers on the ears and tops of headphones started cracking and peeling on their own, NOT DUE TO OVERUSE. Now if I put them on they leave black specs all over me and in my ears. So after reading all the wonderful reviews of people's experience with the company, on returns, company-paid shipping, repairs, and tech support, I called. What a let down. He basically told me that they wouldn't stand behind their product even after such minimal use, and then offered to sell me replacement ear pads, with no mention of the upper part. Not even an offer to replace them or really anything. now they're like a high-tech paperweight. People still use those right? That's a quick way to lose a customer for life, so I'll be shopping for Audio-Technica or monster Beast Modes or 'Beats By' in the very near future. bye read more

We don't refer to our headphones as ears but as marriage savers. We have alway lived in small homes and my wife is an early sleeper ( 9:00 pm) while I stay up to 11:00 or 12:00 pm. I usually watch tv so the sound presents problems. For years I used wired headphones to solve our problem. Currently we have found TVs do not have earphone outlets. I spoke to service twice for our set (Vizio) and they told me the only way to get earphone service was to buy a model TV that has an outlet ( they make none). I called 3 major electronic stores and they told me nothing like I want was made. An online source told me Sennheiser made the answer to my problem HDR 150 and we love it. Plug it into the two audio outlets found on most TVs, plug it in a problem solved. My only suggestion would be to have an auto turn-off if you leave the headphones on but this is a minor problem. read more

Hd.4 Wireless headphones are definitely the most expensive and disappointing audio wear purchase I made in 2018. There's NO bass! forget about the brand. They've become like NIKE. You pay extra for the name not the actual quality! This is THE WORST headphones I've owned from Sennheiser, and when I contacted my local department, they said they couldn't help me but they advised me to come down to my local store and hear the headphones before purchasing them through the internet. Fair point! And just like that my naive perception that Sennheiser was the best of the best on the market was COMPLETELY OUT THE WINDOW! THESE HEADPHONES WERE MORE EXPENSIVE THEN ANYTHING I EVER BOUGHT FROM THEM AND THEY WERE BY FAR THE WORST!!!!! AND SO WAS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! WHAT GIVES?? I'M OUT. NEVER AGAIN GUYS. SORRY! Sennheiser makes electronics devices that make listening to music a joy. I had the PMX70 earphones, especially designed for activities such as running and was extremely impressed with the range of sound whether listening to Jazz, Rock, or Classical. I was very dissapointed when I stopped getting sound in my right earpiece. I called Sennheiser and was instructed to send the old set in under warranty. I sent the old set in on Monday and received a brand new PMX80 headset on Thursday. Wow, what service. Not only do they make a great product, they back it up with CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sennheiser not only makes outstanding headphones; it helps its customers use them to their best. I own a pair of vintage audiophile Sennheiser HD 530s. (The equivalent in today's line would be the HD 600 or HD 650.) Recently they suffered a fall, and their repair department gave me free, detailed advice. Fortunately, it turns out the set was unscathed. They also educated me on impedance, a measure which matches headphones to their source. (If you connect your headphones directly to an portable player, you want consumer level headphones with an impedance of 32 ohms; if you have a dedicated headphone amplifier or high end stereo, you will get better sound with audiophile headphones, many of which have impedance between 50 and 300 ohms.) Sennheiser headphones have a characteristic warmth and beauty. Other companies prefer a more analytic sound -- the aural equivalent of a digital camera that puts megapixels ahead of total image quality. Of course, you should check specific models, as they are made for a variety of uses. Some are best for popular music with heavy bass; others -- including the HD 238 (an economical model to use with portables) and the HD 600 and HD 650 (audiophile, best used with headphone amps) have the purity needed for classical music. There are also studio models. If your experience is anything like mine, your choice of Sennheiser will give you pleasure for many years. read more

The engineering that goes into each set is evident as they have withstood the test of time and have held up well, especially with a rigorous travel schedule. Sennheiser makes top-of-the-line audiophile and professional quality headphones that reproduce very accurate and true sound. You will find them in professional studios the world over, as well as in the homes of many professional musicians. They don't always have all the newest bells and whistles, but the audio quality and the headphone comfort are second to none (they have come a long way in the comfort department the last few years). As a personal user of their headphones at home, on the road, and in the air, I have owned quite a few different models over the years. Today, I bought my son one of the over-the-ear Momentum 2 models that also features a microphone and volume controls typical of many headphones these days, but the sound is certainly not typical - it is fantastic, just like I am accustomed to getting with Sennheiser products. I don't write many reviews, but I couldn't let a single review for Sennheiser stand on Yelp, especially when that review is negative, doesn't mention the model or the age of the product, and seems wholly unreasonable to me. How can you get an old pair of headphones out after years of disuse and feel compelled to write a Yelp review based on that experience that doesn't even mention sound quality one time? That's ridiculous. If you buy a nice pair of headphones like any in the Sennheiser product line, your first responsibility is to take good care of them. Don't do such a company the disservice of a negative review after you run them over with your car, or store them in an attic at 140-degrees for a decade. That is extremely unfair. Of course, Sennheiser doesn't need me to Yelp their virtues because audiophiles the world over know the sound quality of their devices, and I'm sure very few such audiophiles are turning to Yelp to make their buying decisions. Despite that, I feel compelled to stand up for them in the face of a very unfair previous review. Before running out and buying the newest Beats headphones or whatever other marketing marvel headphone you want because it has neon green earpieces or whatever other nonsense influences your spur-of-the-moment emotional purchase; why not get a classic, awesome set of headphones that are very comfortable and produce absolutely true and beautiful sound even when your friends are buying their fourth or fifth set of new headphones, trying to find some that sound as good as your Sennheisers? From Sennheiser, I have never heard a bad pair or seen a pair that was poorly constructed. These are not just run-of-the-mill headphones, but precision instruments that you will enjoy for many, many years - if you just take a little care with them. This is one of those companies who consistently bring great products to market that are dedicated to their vision of true, accurate sound. I wish I had better writing skills so I could recommend this company and its headphones as much as they deserve. Two thumbs up and then some! read more
