I am getting tired of getting into a cold car after the frigid temps we've had this winter. My car is garaged at home but it sits in my work parking lot for 8-10 hours each day. My tolerance for the cold is dwindling. I made 3-4 calls to different places to get a quote for a car starter. They were all around $400. There was something about the conversation I had with Randy at Attention to Detail that made me decide to choose them. Plus it was convenient to my work. It took me about 3 weeks before they could get my car in, but felt confident I was choosing the right place. Brought my 21 Wrangler to get a remote start and driver seat heater. When receiving my car back, the door panel seemed to be pried up and paint chips and dents were made. I was not notified of the damage and when brining my car to show them the hack job, I was blamed and questioned for the damage while Attention to Detail is the only place I have had a service for this vehicle which is in mint condition. There was no resolution and I was left with cleaning up their mess. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone due to lack of craftsmanship and horrible customer service/management. read more

I had an older Corvette painted at the dealership and went looking for some type of protection to place on the front bumper of the car. The staff at Attention to Detail knew exactly what I was looking for and was able to offer advice about the waiting period for the protection film. I took 3 of my vehicles to Attention to Detail in Middletown, CT after I had learned that they service over 100+ dealerships in the state (Chevy, Ford, Honda, etc.) utilize them for aftermarket upgrades, such as leather seats, sunroofs, heated seats, etc. They install custom upgrades on new or used vehicles throughout the state. The team here is BEYOND top notch, and better than any OEM upgrades you can expect directly from the manufacture. The thing that really put me over the top was that on the 3rd vehicle I took to them for leather seats, which I must say is AMAZING and included all head rests, door trim, third row, and consoles, they found my wedding band that I had lost two months ago, on the floor under the seat. Unlike many other dealers/installers who may have kept the ring out of dishonesty, they returned it to me when I went to pick up the car. This ring was invaluable as my wife had placed it on my finger at our wedding. The ring had more sentimental value to me than any amount of money that I spent on all three vehicles combined. I have used this place over the years to have car starters, alarms, and stereos installed in my vehicles. My experience has always far exceeded any of the other automotive accessory stores that I have used in Hartford County. Most recently I returned to Attention to Detail because I had an issue with my car starter remote controls losing their programming. The staff at ATD immediately diagnosed the issue without an appointment! These remotes were many years old from when I had the system originally installed. They determined that the units were since I delete and quickly replaced all three of them for free, without any question! I was so impressed that I decided to upgrade my vehicles head unit while I was there. After a brief look at the units they had available, I scheduled my Install for less than a week later. On the day of the install they called me to tell me that I could actually come in earlier, which I did. The install took less than the 1 1/2 hours they said it would, and better yet, the price was even cheaper than they had originally quoted me! The technician even took time to help me set it up and show me how to use it. I have recently recommended several friends to ATD, and they were also very happy with their experience and workmanship. Hard to find people that car so much about aftermarket servicing of cars. I worked with Tommy the sales rep. I bought a guage cluster from Australia for my Pontiac G8 GXP(Australian Commador). These guys were kind enough to watch a video on you tube of its installation by an Australian installer. They did a flawless job of getting the guages in the center console after having to take the whole thing apart for over 2 hours of work. This would have taken me days and I bet I would have broken everything pulling it all apart. These didnt brake a thing and you would never know they were there. Apparently, Lynch Toyota uses Attention To Detail to install leather seats and such for their customers. I made a deal with Lynch to upgrade a new 2018 Tundra factory cloth seats to heated leather seats. They sent the truck out to ATD. I just got the truck back two days later with gorgeous black leather seats. They had to drill two holes in the console for the switches that operate the heated seat elements. The switches are perfectly aligned and centered on the console. Both the leather and the switches look factory installed. ATD is indeed attentive to detail. ATD is AMAZING!!!! They've worked on my cars for years, and always do a neat, perfect job. Yesterday they installed heated leather seats for me and I couldn't be happier! The color is perfect and they are so comfortable. The staff is courteous and friendly, and I never get the "silly girl" treatment that I get at other local establishments. They deliver when promised, and they kept to the quoted price as well. They installed a satellite radio for me years ago that had an issue from the manufacturer that required a part to be redesigned. While we were waiting for the new part to be made, I went in about once every 3 weeks when the radio stopped working to have them reset it. Although it required pulling the radio out and was not easy, they did it every time while I waited, and never once told me they were to busy or to just suck it up and wait for the part. First let me start by saying this is the worst customer service experience I ever had. Brought my Infiniti to install Aux or Bluetooth, the salesman told me it could be done with a part that would go through the SAT mode and would have no interference, basically CD quality. TWO HOURS later the tech comes out and tells me it can't be done. I said okay, is there anything else we can do? "Yes we can try it Bluetooth but you have to come back tomorrow". Okay, came back the next day to a different tech, this time he didn't even ask about the situation, when I told him I was with the black Infiniti he said he was familiared with the matter and took my keys. Another two hours later the tech came out with an FM adaptor attached to the stereo. WHICH I TOLD SPECIFICALLY FROM THE BEGGINING, I DID NOT WANT. The tech hands me the keys, says sorry we have to close and I have to go, there is nothing else we can do for you. Worst customer service experience from the salesman to the techs, to the end product. Do not go here. read more

This was my 3rd time returning to Attention to Detail, and I never bother to write reviews about anything, but I've decided I finally had to write one for them because there is honestly no comparison for how amazing this business and their employees are. Let me start by saying that there is nothing that they can't do. My first experience was with my dad, who brought his brand new car only 4 days off of the manufacture's assembly line with no tech. After trying 7 different shops in our local area, NO ONE would touch his car because it was "TOO NEW." I honestly couldn't believe that a car being "too new" would be such a hassle, but apparently no shops were equipt to do the work with the manufacturer's software. So we were about to give up looking, when we heard about ATD and decided to drive an hour our of the way to give them a try. Without hesitation the owner Matt and a technician Brian said they could install everything my dad was looking for! We asked them how it was possible, when every shop said it couldn't be done, and they just smiled and said, "we hear that a lot" they continued to go into a full explanation (won't bore you with the details) but overall we were convinced that they were highly knowledgeable and we made an appointment. We were told the appointment would take about 4.5 hours and since we lived so far away we decided to stay in the area and grab lunch and do some shopping while we waited. Not only did they do an amazing job with the installation, but they finished 2 hours earlier than expected,and the car was IMMACULATE when we picked it up. Both my dad and I were very pleased and knew we would be back. My second experience was a sales associate (unfortunately i forgot his name) that helped me find an automatic car starter that fit my budget for a 2010 Nissan Murano. Feeling a bit overwhelmed in such an impressive show room with so many choices the salesman was very patient with me and carefully reviewed all of the options with me. I never felt pressured, and in fact, he even talked me out of a more expensive model for an equal quality yet less expensive model that met my needs. Just like my first experience (although with a different technician named Dan), the installation was flawless, finished about an hour early, and my car was spotless. They even took the time to show me all of the individual ways I could turn the car on by using my current key fob, and additional optional remote control, and through an app on my phone. I was super embarrassed because after I had driven away I stopped at the gas station to fill up and wanted to test my starter, but forgot what they showed me. I drove back and asked them if they could show me again, and they didn't even hesitate to walk me through just as detailed and patient as they were the first time. They even told me that if I had any questions or get stuck again that I could call in or stop by and they will show me as many times as it took until I got the hang of it (Thankfully I remembered after the second time). My most recent experience I brought in my 2004 Oldsmobile Alero for headlight restoration, and this is the experience that convinced me I had to write this review. Originally I tried that "As Seen on TV" junk to clear up foggy headlights, and while it seemed to work at first, my headlights turned dark yellow in just 2 months after using it. So I brought my car into ATD and they explained how that stuff actually causes more damage because of the chemicals in it, but then they told me it was no problem and that would have my lights shinning like new. While I was out and about waiting for my car I received a call from Brian the technician, and he asked me if I was aware that my dash board lit up like a Christmas tree with so many warning lights (abs, security, trac off, and service engine now). I laughed and told him yes and that its just a loose connection somewhere and that it's been doing that for years, but I have taken it to a few mechanics and they told me there is nothing wrong with the car, and that its probably just a loose wire. He then asked if it would be OK if he tried to find the problem, and I said "go for it, but good luck because I don't think you'll find anything." I returned to pick up my car (finished right on time) and my head lights looked great! Brian asked me to turn them on so I could really see the difference, and that's when I noticed that all of the dashboard lights were GONE!! I couldn't believe it! I asked him how he did it, and he told me that my automatic car starter (which was installed as a gift about 7 years ago at different shop in Massachusetts) was causing the problem. I was so impressed, but terrified about how much it would cost since he fixed it (I did not plan for any extra costs). I finally asked and they told me there was NO CHARGE, and that they were happy they could solve the problem for me! Hands down best customer service ever! This place, attention to detail is a little too big for their britches. They hyped themselves to be the best at what they do, but all I got from them was shoddy work, time after time. You might ask yourself, why would you keep going back to them. Well, I applied for a grant from a disability foundation, because I am handicapped and I was granted the money to put in a backup camera system and remote control starter for my car. I had no other choice but to go back to attention to detail for them to replace the camera three times, in seven months, because each time the camera failed, over and over and over again and never work properly from the first day I got it. Each time that I would pick up my car, there was something wrong With it. The alarm didn't work correctly. All the fuses blew in the car, disabling lights, my alarm, my blinkers, my windshield wipers and on, and on, and on. The last and final time I brought my car in to have the backup camera replaced for the third time, I drove into the lot perfectly fine with my car, came back five days later, because they were delayed in fixing it and when I came back to pick it up it was completely dead. Immediately, one of the workers told me he knew that they were working near the fuel pump and that they must've damaged something there. So now here I am a handicapped person, on a very limited income and could've never bought any of the things for myself to gain freedom in my life and now I have a car that doesn't work due to attention to detail, messing around in my car, over and over and over again messing with the wiring messing with the fuel pump and now the fuel pump is completely not working in my car. It will cost $800 for me to fix. After telling me that it being broken was their fault, over and over again, the owner called me and told me that he wasn't going to fix my car and that he wasn't even going to give me my car back that I would have to come and get it somehow myself, which was impossible. I told them I was going into the hospital for surgery and the owner told me you have pity on me and just dumped my car off in my driveway in a haphazard way and took no responsibility for what happened to my car. Don't bother going to this place to get anything fixed, if you have any hesitation about anything else coming out wrong with your car. Every time, I came out with more problems then when I went in, with it. That's been my horrific experience with them. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy, ever. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place, because they don't stand behind their word. And they put shoddy materials into your car that don't work. As long is what they put in doesn't work and is covered by the manufacture they'll fix it no charge but anything that they've done that they've made damage to your car when they work on it, they won't help you with it they won't fix it and they won't cover it! The place that paid them the thousands of dollars it cost to get this put in, is extremely Disappointed that this happened to me. It's too bad that they think they can take advantage of people by marking up their prices and then doing whatever they want to do and leaving your car trashed, in the areas that they worked in, over and over and over again. Then when something goes wrong on their watch, they don't take responsibility for it. They don't live up to their name "Attention to Detail". They might want to consider calling themselves attention to retail. This truly is a sad state of a Affairs for me. I have not driven now for three months and I don't know that I'll ever drive again in that car, I have no money to buy a new car and have no money to fix this car's problem now. I'm a prisoner in my own home. The amazing gift of the backup cameras and the remote control starter that was granted to me for my disability by this amazing foundation, is now going to a complete waste.
