He was very knowledgeable and had a series of hands-on operational drone skills courses with a few of his drones he provided for this course. In a niche market such as this, the gentleman at Repair A Drone in the City of Orange is a gem. I was having trouble as the controller kept saying "Aircraft Disconnected". Even after trying what the help files on the internet told me to do, I couldn't get it to work. And I consider myself to be a rather good troubleshooter. So I called Repair A Drone on the phone to ask if I could come in and have him look at my DJI Mavic Pro. He listened, then told me how to fix it myself for free. Had a great experience with RAD to get the controller on my Mavic Air fixed. Not only did he fix the problem (a bad design of the power port that causes it to break really easily), he made sure that it could not be broken easily again by replacing it with a better port. Great and fast service at a price that's much cheaper and quicker than sending it to DJI. Also, with all the issues with Covid, he came wearing gloves and a mask to ensure safety. Coming from a childhood filled with making paper airplanes and flying cheap RC planes, I thought I'd give learning to fly a drone a try and found this great experience on this page. First off, I just want to say that Han John is a very affable, attentive person and an even better drone instructor. He will answer any questions you have and be very thorough with his explanations and instructions. Han John provided me with a great general understanding of the current state of drone flying ranging from its history, the regulations, and what people nowadays use them for. It was also nice that he suggested some models that new drone pilots should buy should they start flying themselves. Han John also provided snacks and water too, which was a nice compliment to the beautiful Southern California weather. Flying the drone was also very nice and simple to catch on as the park we flew at was very empty and spanned a large expanse. The drone we flew was rigged with a beautiful 4K camera, so I was able to take as many videos and pictures as I wanted of the surrounding area. Han John is also very skilled with his cinematic drone skills, so I highly suggest learning from him too! I walked away with some pretty cool and impressive shots and videos of the park that I'm going to show off to my friends for sure! Overall, a definite 11/10 would do again!
