I've heard it's good but have never tried. They frequently close early if they aren't busy so I haven't been able to try it. I even called and they assured me they'd be open the next day Tim 9 (their posted closing time) yet once again they closed an hour early. Could be good just don't rely on their hours. First time at Sensu, for sure a very solid 4 stars for sure. Huge pieces of fish when you have sashimi or nigiri. The agedashi tofu was delicious. The sensu symphony was great roll. I tried the "Trust Me" roll. Which is you just let the sushi chef make you a roll of their creation. It was pretty good. I was sad they didn't have salmon skin as salmon skin handroll is my favorite. No personality, and she waited about 20 minutes to actually take our order, and took food out extremely slowly. If you want to come here, plan to get here very, very early! Super duper ultra slow waiter, and every other waiter was standing around doing nothing. Our waiter took time talking to her colleagues, and would disappear in the back for long periods. The sushi at Sensu was amazing. I was there with a group of 4 and it was quite a bit of a wait to be seated and then another wait for the food to arrive--so needless to say, they were quite busy on a Saturday evening. We sat at the sushi bar which was cool to watch the sushi chef prepare various rolls. We did want a table but settled for the bar bc it was quicker to be seated there. The service was cool--could have been better but we understood because of how busy it was. Our waitress was nice and understanding despite being super busy (like she was literally having to move quick back and forth amongst her tables). The drinks were delicious as well. The restaurant location, food, service were all great this review is geared towards any of that. But we went last night and it was a Saturday night and they have a DJ playing I assume to attract more people which really isn't needed as the restaurant and food is amazing. The music choices, and music in general wasn't NOT needed. We sat outside to try to drown it out and even passerby's with children covering their ears made comments on the music. We're not in downtown ATL, there isn't a need for a DJ during dinner. It's a higher scale area, the hip hop music just isn't needed at a sushi restaurant. read more

I had a pretty disappointing experience. Someone who sat down about 20 minutes after me received their sushi before I did. When I asked about it, I was told it was because my roll had cooked shrimp, which it did not. The server even asked the sushi chef why my order hadn't been prepared before someone who arrived later, and the chef seemed annoyed about being asked instead of addressing the issue. Overall, the service and communication were poor, and it felt like my order was overlooked. I hope the restaurant works on improving order management and customer service. read more

I order miso soup and a spicy snow crab roll. I asked the waitress is this was REAL crab meat. When they first opened I tried it and it definitely was real snow crab. They have changed their menu so I thought it best to ask. She said yes the roll was just snow crab and rice. Perfect. When the roll came , I asked again because it did not look like real crab meat. She said yes. Yall look at this roll. That is clearly imitation crab meat. Which I do not eat hence me asking twice. I left the roll on the plate. The icing on the cake was my to go order. I ordered teriyaki chicken for my son. I was asked f i wanted soup or salad. I opted for salad. Got the bag. No salad. I decided to taste it because it did not look like teriyaki. Came here for dinner with one of my really good friends! This restaurant is in the new trailer Village in Fayetteville, Georgia. You can tell that the restaurant is new. Clean cut, they have outdoor seating, indoor, seating, bar, seating, high top, and a bar that is convertible to an outdoor bar. The sushi was fresh and my favorite item was the yuzu tuna appetizer. I also ordered the full cooked yellowtail BUT didnt enjoy it. The manager fixed it immediately and took it off the bill. The service recovery was seamless and we had a really II w conversation about fish, truly wholesome - which is why I'll leave it there. This place is a must go. Owner and bartenders were so nice !! My family and I walked around Trilith for 2hours waiting for them to open for dinner at 5pm and it was worth every minute! It's a small cozy spot but the sushi packs a big bite. Very fresh and buttery textures like I like. I wish I had the chance to taste the toro but the party of 16 who came right before us cleared them out :-) Lychee martini was dreamy!! Tried a few unmentionables, until our friend told us about Sensu. My taste buds started singing. The appetizers were delicious. Squid was so flavorful. The sashimi melted in the mouth. And the rolls were spicy good. Lol I overdid it on the spicy. After a bit they all blended together. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is there. We are sushi aficionado so we will be there often. From the hostess (Sonja) greeting us with charm, to our bartender Tony, excellent Old Fashioned maker, our entrance was to die for. Don't get that much anymore. Tony suggested the crab cake, amazing! Got dinner there last weekend. They had a bit of a wait cause they were celebrating their annual. There were a bunch of tents, live music, and games setup outside. Waiting wasn't so bad with cornhole and a few takoyaki appetizers. Everything was delicious and fresh. If you're familiar with my reviews you know that I have ALWAYS been served last at Sushi places. I have often watched my family consume all of their meals while still waiting for something as basic as yakisoba. Sensu is literally the only Sushi restaurant that served up my gyoza and yakisoba BEFORE the sushi. For the record- the food was delicious. My daughter enjoyed the sushi. We ordered a bottle of wine. Very visibly clean and more casual than I expected (I did over dress in my opinion). The drink menu was full of inventive drinks and I chose the ginger whiskey mule. Unfortunately, I did not like and I was unable to get a new drink without paying a second time. No exchanges if you don't like your drink too bad, buy another or drink the one you got. That changed my 5 star review to 4.5. We ordered a table full of fresh sushi. If you think you have tried good sushi you haven't tried Sensu. I lived in the NW for awhile and Sensu comes close to fresh out of the water sushi. They have outdone themselves. The Sashimi was melt in your mouth INCREDIBLE. My husband and I kept making weird faces at each other during our meal together wondering WHY people talk so highly of this spot. It's a wannabe Hoity Toity sushi spot that really is mediocre at best. My husband got a roll on the menu that was spicy and a salmon cut roll. I'm surprised he didn't order more (he generally does) because I KNEW the portion sizes would be small... But he didn't because I think he had low expectations of this spot and didn't want to spend money on rolls he potentially might not like. And he was smart to do so because he wasn't impressed even a little bit. He ate his rolls because they were there but they did nothing for him. My son got the chicken teriyaki. Such a small portion. But he ate it. And didn't complain, so that's good. My mother in law got the shrimp tempura and again, small portion, but she ate it all and said it was fine. What did I get?! Well, being the big eater that I am and ignoring prices... I ordered TWO sashimi platters (because 9 pieces just is NOT enough for me) and a hamachi kama. The sashimi looked gorgeous... And the salmon was buttery and delicious. The hamachi was okay, but the tuna... Really FISHY. It seemed like it was about to TURN in all honesty. I ate all of it though as I waited for my hamachi kama. When that came out, I was pleasantly surprised by the size (it was large) but I could tell that it wasn't cooked enough. No parts of the meat were raw thankfully, but it was borderline undercooked, which tends to make me nauseated. Over all though, it was fine. And it filled me up (for $18- I mention this because the menu simply says MP next to it). Oh and we got edamame to start and there were like TWO edamame pods in the bowl..... My husband and I said we were glad we went to Sensu so as to find out that it's nothing special AT ALL. In fact, grocery store sushi and sashimi is better. We really don't understand the hype around this spot. There is another spot in PTC that's 834663857483x better. Sensu should take notes from that spot. read more

We arrived with six people towards the end of the night and had called ahead to reserve a table, which they kindly accommodated for us. (Several other people mentioned a wait and I highly recommended calling ahead to avoid this since space is somewhat small.) The Food was amazing! The curry udon and the kids bento boxes were great. Everything else we got was excellent too. Sushi was freshly made, and great as well. Service could have been a little quicker, but it was busy and towards end of the night so I'll give them that. What a treat. Great location just steps from Trilith Studios. Excellent front of house staff and of course......KILLER SUSHI. Decent Sushi spot in a small beautiful community. The sushi was good, not knock your socks off, but flavorful. The only knock is that we ordered specialty cocktails i had the dragonfruit mexicatini and my wife had the Dream Catcher. They were awful! No flavor at all, just straight liquor taste. We took a small sip of each and ask to take them away. The server was amazingly nice and respectful. Once we asked for them to be taken away and not put on the bill she said the manager said "no'. I understand no compliment drinks, but we had only taken a small sip for taste and that's it. The manager did come by and offered us some other drinks. My wife got a beer and i had a glass of wine. But the cocktails stayed on the bill. $28 for cocktails we didn't drink subbed out for $16 of better drinks! The manager also mentioned that she intends to remove the drinks in a few weeks because she knows they are not good? Once I was a huge fan. Now I doubt I'll be back. First off we were sat outside but this was not a problem. It was nice out until the storm hit. Here we go. The Waitress did not give us any silverware until after the appetizer was delivered. Next, it took about 30 for our drinks to show up. Teresa who is the manager and bartender. Piss poor as either. When you get an order you stop schmoozing and make the drinks that should take minutes. Next thing it started pouring and we asked if we could move in. Being that there were open tables this should have been a no brainer. Please take those tables and get out of the rains should have been Teresa's reply. Instead she said figure it out. So we ate in the rain and my guest got soaked along with the rest of us. To top this off our bill had the highest possible tip already added! How the hell do you figure that should have been a thing.
