They said they will wait until we finish our soup or salad before they get started in case another party comes to join the table. We sat there for 30 minutes after eating soup/salad before the got started and even then we had to get them because we had a 7:00 pm appointment to get to. Food was ok. I had an amazing time at this restaurant! My mom and I stopped here before going grocery shopping because I refuse to grocery shop hungry! I did not feel like dealing with the downtown traffic, so I looked for places in the opposite direction! I done lucked up!!! The new owners are horrbile! They're not serving any alcohol and only one person out of the 3 who were working spoke English. The server forgot to put in mine and my son's hibachi order but still added gratuity to the check. I was looking for a nee hibachi spot because normal one wasn't practicing social distancing. I called and spoke with a nice lady who reassured me that they were indeed distancing and explained how. I decided to try them out. Located in a strip plaza. There's plenty of parking. Upon walking in, there was a short wait because there wasn't a hostess at the front. When the hostess appeared, she checked our temps. That's really put me at ease. I haven't been to any restaurant that did that. We were seated and definitely distanced from the other party who was at our table. Staff was very engaging. Chef was amazing. The food was pretty good. My friend had steak. We ate here last night with our two sons (11yo and 6yo). The atmosphere was really nice. It was both family friendly, and a great date night spot. Because of how busy it was, we opted to sit at the sushi bar (also kid/family friendly) and we watched the sushi chef make all the sushi as it was being ordered. He was so friendly and paid great attention to detail. He kept our kids entertained and even made note of the types of sushi they really enjoyed. Visited this spot this past weekend and it was a good experience. Food was good. I had the steak & shrimp. It was seasoned well (which was a plus). It's been hard to find a good hibachi/Japanese place in the area so I'm glad we found one. I disliked the yum yum sauce - it tasted a bit weird & unlike places I'm used to in NJ so that was a little disappointing. Also the drinks were just ok. We had whiskey which was a bit watered down & a Cosmo which was a little too sweet for my liking. Most importantly they adhered to the proper precautions due to Covid - we had our temp taken upon entering & they placed the other party on the opposite side away from us so they were sure to practice social distancing. So I decided to give this place a try and I can say it was pretty good. However the waitress's service was lackluster at best. The chef prepared a nice meal. Unfortunately he did not do the onion chimney trick haha. Overall I enjoyed my experience and will be back to try the sushi next time. We had the Triple Tokyo for 2 which is hibachi chicken, shrimp & steak. It also comes with a fried rice for an additional charge. Paired with a ginger salad and miso soup to complete the meal. My dad and I visit this hidden gem often. We have sat at the hibachi tables and also the bar. We prefer the bar; the food cooked in the back has more flavor in our opinion. Food was pretty good! Service was good! But they didn't offer some of the things that a lot of Japanese places offer like lo mein in the hibachi dinner or at all on the menu. And instead of the crunchy wontons in the soup they have noodles and it kinda ruined it. But overall besides those two things the quality of my food was great! read more

Andrew the sushi chef made this special roll for me to accommodate my low carb way of eating. He used a soy wrap in lieu of rice and just perfectly put together the flavors and textures. I'm not sure what exactly he put, all I care is that it's good!!! And I loved how fresh everything tasted. (I stole from my family's plates ) We've been here before and we would definitely go back. It's not just the food. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the service is friendly and efficient. Last night they suddenly got swamped when a lot of people came in. I thought it was nice of the servers to warn the customers how long they would have to wait to be served and left it to the customers to decide for themselves to stay or go.
