I have been using Grateful Dog Walkers for years now. While I understand everyone has their…read morepersonal favorites, Liam is mine and definitely my dogs. Often there are one to three dogs here at any one time and whenever they hear the name Liam they run to the door and greet him as a long lost friend whom they love. I have often asked at the last minute for him to get them, board them or just keep them for the day and never ever has he said NO! He is always willing to accommodate and go the extra mile even arranging for one of them to get groomed at his house while I was ill. I know the transition has been a bit chaotic but I also know my dogs have not suffered one bit and absolutely love their time with him.

Not only was Mackey, a consummate professional, he truly loved and cared for my pets, as though they were his own... And, he treated my home as though it were his own. Unfortunately that wasn't something that wasn't upheld by the rest of GrateDog Walkers in this area. I had serious issues with Liam SEVERAL times. I specifically told him that any new person needed to be introduced to myself and my husband, as well as our pets prior to coming into our home. This is something that we do with ALL contractors. It is an industry standard. It did not seem to be an issue when I discussed it with Liam... however, it was completely lost on him when on more than one occasion, he had somebody completely different, show up at our house at the wrong time whom we had never met! I called Liam, and I was assured that Mackey would be the person who would then come back. I actually had to contact Mackey directly to ensure that he would be there the first time this occurred. The second time this occurred, a new person showed up that I had never met, locked a cat who was on Prozac in our bedroom, who, then ripped up a bedroom carpet... Liam claimed that this was impossible, they would have never shut the door, but we were out... This is not some thing that Mackey, who was very familiar with our pets, very familiar with our home, and very familiar with our routine would have ever done. Trying to discuss the matter with Liam, he took absolutely no accountability, and actually put the blame back on me. I have had numerous issues with billing, I've had to reach out on more than one occasion because of it. It's just all very haphazard and unprofessional. It's really sad, because the place where I get my dogs groomed recommended Grateful Dog Walkers specifically because of Mackey, and I got them several new customers because of Mackey... We have all left now. What's worse is, I had actually purchased a gift card for Mackey, and when he could not come to my home, Liam had stated he would come to my home and handle my pet for me. I agreed to that. Liam actually stated that he had picked up the gift card and was going to deliver it to his employee Mackey. I checked with him on three occasions after the last pet visit, he had no clue there was a gift card, no clue of the amount or where it was purchased to. Clearly, Liam kept the gift card for himself. I have no use for such unprofessional persons, the entitlement is beyond reproach. I have a second home, and a very large upscale community, I had very strongly recommended this group, and I am now very strongly recommending to all of my friends and neighbors not to use them until they replace Management here. Smarten up folks! You let an honest, hard worker who brought in clients go to keep someone who sleeps in, doesn't return clients calls, and when they do, berates them and is insanely unprofessional. This is the absolute best example of the Peter principal that ever was! GO ELSEWHERE!! PS notice that it's Mackey's name that is complimented on other reviews... Take the hint people! either clean up your act down here, or simply keep your flagship operation in the Baltimore area

I know that every day someone will be there around 1pm or so to get him out for a good 30 minute walk. I come home every afternoon to a happy dog and a note letting me know of any adventures (or misadventures) during their visit. They sometimes text me a photo of his escapades while they have him out. Totally reliable and they LOVE dogs (or at least MY dog). I can wholeheartedly recommend them for your pet walking/sitting needs.

At the time they started, we had two dogs, one of whom was elderly and needed extra TLC. Not only did Tim, our walker at the time, provide that, one time when I was traveling for business, our Daisy got out, and even though it wasn't his day to walk her, when Tim saw her, he immediately stopped what he was doing, let her back in, and texted me to let me know. After Tim left Daly, our current walker Julie started, and the high quality of care continued. As our Daisy's health began to fail, Shelly and Julie were solicitous and caring, and when Daisy crossed over, left us a card and watched out for our younger dog, Camden, while he mourned his big sister. Camden loves Julie SO much that he gets excited when he hears her car pull up, and is a giant smiling wiggleworm of a pup when he sees her. In short, I LOVE Daly!

It's a motel, daycare, playground, home all in one. Plus, there are lots of pet sitter/caretakers. When Mozart leaves for home, we have an excited, happy and tired dog every time. When he arrives, he starts whining the veterans bridge and stays excited until he gets in and barks everyone out he sees. He's obviously a favorite there and knows it because he is quickly recognized and goes up to his aunties and uncles that care for him and nuzzles up to them. Thank you so much for all the love you keep giving him. We hope you don't get tired of him because we're gonna keep him there as long as you'll let us! They were able to get us in within 24 hours, which was such a relief during an incredibly stressful and emotional time. Dr. Gaines was compassionate and knowledgeable. After Briscoe's scans and X-rays came back clear, he walked us through different possibilities and treatment options, helping us make informed decisions without ever feeling rushed or overwhelmed. He took the time to show us how to administer Briscoe's IV fluids at home and explained what signs to look for. He also gave us thoughtful tips on managing Briscoe's medications and what to monitor over the weekend. The entire staff was equally kind and supportive. They handled Briscoe so gently and respectfully, helping carry him between rooms and back to our car. It meant the world to see our baby treated with such care and dignity. Unfortunately, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize Briscoe less than a week later. But I'll always be grateful that his final days were spent under the care of such a warm and attentive team. The Village Vet is a small cozy facility but it's clear that everyone there truly cares. Thank you for being there when we needed it most.
