I was advised at the last min. that the camara wire was attached to my storage unit and they needed to get into my storage as soon as possible. So, I had to take time out of my schedule to accommodate them to see if that was an issue. Come to find out they will need to move everything in my storage in order to get to the wire. They have no intentions of accommodating me and advised me if I am not able to let them in, they will get in anyway. They did not allow me to choose a time that would be best for me. Over a ten year period they raised my rent an average of 25% every year. The average rate of inflation was 3.3% per year during that period. My initial rate of $154 ballooned to $388 per month. Why didn't I move? I had built shelves for my unit and hated the hassle of disassembling them and moving. But the main reason is I'm an idiot. I now pay $125 per month for a similar unit where long term tenants tell me raises in rent are seldom and modest.
