I've been here for the Thermo-Lo treatment, for skin tags & other skin conditions. I had a cherry angioma on my nose that I would occasionally accidentally scratch with my nail, and it would hurt. I was told by a dermatologist that it would need to be cut out & I would have a scar. The Thermo-Lo worked to remove it and left no scar. I've also had some peels done. Came here two months ago for only 20 units of Botox in my forehead administered by Jeff- a week after my right eyebrow was significantly higher than my left and my left eyelid was droopy. I'm sure they are all very nice people. But i should of walked out when i had the chance. I scheduled a chem peel at the last minute on a Saturday. I called at 1pm and they said they could see me at 3:15. I got there 5 minutes early and checked in. I then sat for over 40 minutes before someone said the person I was seeing was running behind. No, really? I kept getting ready to leave, but I really wanted to try a peel and i knew all other places around there would be closing soon. Finally I get in to see the person I had the appt with. She was really nice but was having an off day it seemed. She couldnt find anything she needed, other staff came in and out of the room looking for stuff during the peel and the atmosphere was not at all relaxing. When she started the peel, I guess it was supposed to tingle or something...I felt nothing. She said we could do more "layers" but each layer cost an additional fee. Fine, whatever. We did all the "layers" allowed and I literally felt a slight tingle on the last layer. Then she started going "serum" crazy. Like Serum after serum after serum. One was a vitamin C serum. And it turned me oompa loompa orange. So she hads me a mirror when she's all done and I'M ORANGE. So she finally realizes it - blames the lighting - and starts trying to wipe it off. But all the serums start coming off and its just falling off in chunks. So she's like, eh good enough, otherwise I'll just rub all the stuff off...um, ok. BUT I'M ORANGE! She kept telling me I'd peel a bunch in by Monday and I needed to use this really good moisturizor. Gave me a .25 oz sample size and charged me $5 for it. Thanks! My skin DID look pretty good. and the next day it was tight and dry. But i never peeled. and that $5 lotion? Instead of peel, I broke out like a mo fo. No nice skin a week later, no reduction in scars or age spots, nadda. I was going to give them a 2nd chance, but after writing all this, I realized what a crappy experience it was and I went ahead and cancelled that 2nd appointment. I'm going to try a dermalogist instead. read more

I've had two appoints for electrolysis with Maria. She has managed to make what is otherwise an uncomfortable procedure into a pleasant visit. She is fantastic at teaching clients about procedures and managing expectations. The folks at the front desk at on phones are very friendly and efficient. Totally awesome experience!! Usually when you have Botox, results to take effect are 24-48 hours. After only 25 units, a small amount as a touch up (I didn't have 60 units or any massive amount), I got home 1 hour later and couldn't believe my eyes! It. Was. Amazing. A very dramatic difference. I have been frequenting Senza Pelo Med Spa for the past few months strictly for hair removal services so that is the only item I will be reviewing. Stephanie has done my laser treatments on my under arms a couple of times. She is really friendly and knows what she is talking about. All of the girls do in the salon. Its run by Stephanie's mother, Maria I believe, who is a fun character who is seems very well experienced in the field. I did a lot of research before choosing the spa for my treatments because I wanted results if I was going to spend the money. I'm glad I chose who I did because the results have been great! And I have dark thick hair that grows back quick. After even the first under arm treatment the hair singed off a few days later and has not grown back the same ever sense. It's far and few between. Now four treatments in I shave my under arms maybe once a week and that's rare. So I highly reccomend this treatment for those seeking comfort for their under arms. I really like the location of the spa it's right in the middle of my work and my home on 19th ave however their parking is limited and difficult to get into. They have parking on the side but its often full as well. Although the girls inside are nice and helpful. There have been a few times Steph was running behind and I had to wait 15-20 minutes extra to be taken back. I don't like to be a difficult client for people so I've always been understanding though I would like timely service especially when coming from work and want to get home. There has been two appointments where Steph even had to have another technician do my treatments so she could catch up but both turned out totally fine. One occasion I was even given a discount for waiting so long. So there have been a few things maybe not so great in my experience with them but over all I'm very happy with my results in my underarms I am so glad to have gotten it done. I would like to say the spa was clean and before my service (Botox) the staff was professional and kind. I received it in March. Then COVID hit. It only held for approximately 3 weeks. So they used either old or watered down product. I was so disappointed! I wanted to call to let them know but I kept getting emails from them stating they were closed during COVID, so I did not assuming the obvious, that they were closed. When I finally received an email stating they were opened, I called to let them know. They told me their was nothing they could do because it had been so long since my appointment and I should've called their office. Apparently their office was still open. Why would I think their office was open when I kept repeatedly getting emails stating that they were closed?! Anyway, do not get Botox here! Unless you want to pay all that money for it to work for only 3 weeks read more

I went to Senza Pelo for 6 months of electrolysis on my face, 12 treatments and a total cost of $900. They offer discounts for reviews as soon as you become a client but I chose to not write a review until I felt like I could give them a fair evaluation. Stephanie was very nice and seemed very experienced. Unfortunately, I found electrolysis to be a very frustrating process. I hated not being able to groom the areas in between sessions and found the treatments painful, even though I purchased and applied their numbing cream as directed. (Some times a little painful and sometimes uncomfortable enough I hesitated continuing treatments.) After 12 treatments I expected to see some progress and cant say that I have. Even the areas that had just a few hairs, still have just a few hairs. I knew it could take up to a year or longer to be 'hair free' but I would think after zapping the hairs 12 times some of them should've died. Maybe my hair is just REALLY resistant to electrolysis (it has responded well to Laser removal) but it felt like there was no end in sight and a huge waste of money. I won't pursue electrolysis in the future. read more

Leading with the positive, the spa is incredibly clean and inviting and the staff always seemed kind and caring. Unfortunately, during an initial consultation I was provided with inaccurate information regarding the procedure/service that led to a subsequent purchase of a $1000+ package that did not end well. I discovered what I should have been told half-way through the 3rd service and was unable to continue. Had that fact been known, I would have not have continued beyond the initial session knowing this service was not right for me - the $1000+ package would have never been purchased. Perhaps part of this is on me to do better homework but I would have expected more from expert staff. The $80 refund offered was a nice gesture but it does not make up for money/time wasted that was far greater. read more

Scheduling snafus and poor customer service. I'm not sure about these four-star reviews but I found the staff unwelcoming (I went in for a facial consult. Not once did the esthetician get closer to look at my skin, ask whether I was wearing makeup to determine if she could get a true picture or ask what my current skincare routine was). The facility itself actually feels more like a doctor's office than a medspa: drab decor, uncomfortable waiting room chairs. I cancelled my follow up. Update: I sincerely appreciate the owner reaching out but I didn't base my review on one interaction. I went three times in a one month period.
