Before anything else, you may be confused about the name of the restaurant. Since my very first visit, it has been called, "Happy 6 Days." This was its name even before they had a signage. However, the owner of the restaurant keeps changing and, as each owner changes, the name of the place changes too! So, right now, the restaurant is called, "Seoul Korean Restaurant" (so creative, right?). The reason why I will still call this place, "Happy 6 Days" is because, no matter how many owners have come and gone, the food has never changed! Same affordable prices, same delicious dishes! Now, the dishes I highly recommend are the Samgyupsal, Kimchi Jigae and their Korean Fried Chicken! They seriously serve the BEST Korean chicken. After I tried their version, I stopped eating at BonChon. Plus, for the serving size and price, eat the Korean chicken here instead! I suggest you order the Half/Half and then order other dishes. The chicken is made-to-order. So, you will have to wait for about 20 minutes. :) Also, the banchan (side dishes) alone will make your trip worth while. I've only ever eaten the samgyeopsal, which is pretty good and comes served on a sizzling plate, the kimbap, which comes in generous portions and has a lot of fillings, and kimchi jjigae, which if I'm being honest isn't exactly my favorite Korean dish. However, to me, this place is all about the chicken. It comes in plain, spicy, and half-plain, half-spicy. The chicken is double fried, as all Korean fried chicken should be, and has very crispy skin, almost resembling a cracker more than a piece of skin. The meat is juicy, but it's a bit firm, the way I like it. The plain version is more than OK, but you should really get the Spicy chicken. Coated in a glaze of chili, which is equal parts sweet, salty, and spicy, I will agree that this is the best Korean Fried Chicken in the metro. Bonchon is now inedible to me. I cannot overstate the fact that the chicken is completely worth the price of admission, which, at P400 for a whole chicken, is really reasonable. It's more than enough for 4 hungry people, or to feed you for your dinner, midnight snack, and lunch the next day. Speaking from experience here. Like others say, the decor is a bit dark, but it is clean, and if you're a fan of Korean TV shows and K-pop, Seoul/6 Days/Happy 6 days/Bonchon-eat-your-heart-out shows it wall to wall. I personally just order the Samgyupsal and Chadolbagi because I don't like switching the grill pan too often. With the unlimited meat for the gril, you also have the Korean dish buffet which includes a station where make your own Bibimbap. Cleaning the front windows looks necessary though it amusingly matches the restaurant vibe. Service was good since they always got what we needed at fair waiting times. Refills came back loaded with food and the water pitcher really kept the service water cold. The free veggie leaves, dips, side dishes, steamed egg, and soup were impressive to the eyes and tongue. The flavors and quality are all good. For a minimum of 599, you can eat all you want for 1 hour. They used to bring a number of side dishes and sauces to your table too. But recently they changed it up so that there's now a buffet and you can get your own soup, salad, side dishes and sauces. What really sets K-pub apart from other all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue places is its sheer size. You're eating in a three story tall cavernous space facing a large stage with a huge television behind it. Most nights they have bands on stage. But on nights when they don't, or while the band is resting, they play Korean K-pop videos that can be a lot of fun to watch. The only really downsides are sometimes the ventilation is not enough and it can be smokey inside. There are no individual smoke vents per table. This can be especially bad if they're busy and your only option is to sit upstairs. It can also be a bit warm. Despite lots of air conditioners, its just a huge space to cool and sometimes it can be warmer than you might like. Lastly, if you're a really big or leisurely eater, the one-hour time limit might put you off. But the one hour starts from the time the food arrives on your table and you can still eat past the one hour mark, you just can't order any more. Selections were small and ok. I think the only thing I really liked here is the meat, tofu soup, and japchae but I heard the price is very cheap for this buffet. They do still have the traditional peanut sauce, and peanut oil with salt n pepper for your meats. They do offer alcohol and sodas. The place was small and only had a few parking places in front. Was crowded so this means it's popular with the locals. You can make reservations. There AC is blasting so if you sit by the AC, the burners will blow out like us. It's right across Piandre Salon and Eat Fresh in Little Baguio, San Juan. The food selection at the buffet is quite small but very good. The dishes I always go for are the buttered corn, bacon-wrapped dokbokki, fried fish, the bulgogi and the banchans. Once you are seated, they give you wooden trays of meat: a mix of pork and beef trays. Thinly sliced, ready to crisp on the grill! They will continue serving the trays until you tell them to stop! Honestly, don't stop until I've had a total of 10 trays! This is an awesome dining experience for only Php299. Drinks are not included but you can order a Liter of regular coke. They have Korean ice cream here too; Php65 for the gold fish ice cream! I suggest that you make a reservation if you plan to eat here during peak hours. Also, skip the rice!
