Yes, I do recommend this location for many reasons. Yes, it's a smaller store, but it has every product you are searching for on your list. It's also a well-organized store, and there are enough sales clerks to help everyone. I can't say it enough: I love this location. Right outside this store are more stores. I mean, there are a plethora of stores, and by chance, this store doesn't have what you want, which I doubt, there are more beauty stores surrounding this one. read more

This Sephora is usually hit or miss with their customer service. However, I went in yesterday and Samara helped me out and was so sweet and color matched me to some new items I needed. She was patient and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Huge shoutout to Samara, thank you! When I got to checkout, I asked to pick up my birthday gift and I chose the Charlotte Tilbury gift. However, the employee at the register refused and said I would need to use points to redeem the gift and that the Charlotte Tilbury set was not a birthday item. Racially Profiled While Shopping - Disappointed but Not Surprised I had a deeply uncomfortable experience at the Sephora in The Domain. I came in after work--curly hair out, dressed casually--not looking "Domain rich," as some would say, but certainly not looking out of place or suspicious. I had two items in my hand already, taking my time looking around, smelling fragrances, and deciding on a rollerball since I'd just bought full-size bottles and needed something for my purse. I was also looking for Fenty products. That's when I noticed I was being followed by an employee--her name was Becky. As someone who has worked in retail, I knew exactly what was happening. While other shoppers around me carried items freely, I was the only one singled out. Becky loudly asked me if I wanted a basket I said no. None of the other customers holding items were asked. She continued to follow me, talking on her walkie and watching me closely. When she asked again if I needed help, I finally said, "Since you're clearly profiling me, ( in my head ) yes--where are the Fenty products?" I also asked her name and told her thank you. But the behavior didn't stop--she continued to follow me until I checked out, even whispering into her radio while smiling at me. A male employee looked at her, then nodded. It was all very obvious and humiliating. I should return the products out of principle, but I actually need them. That's the part that hurts--being made to feel like a suspect when I'm just a paying customer like everyone else. If you're Black and shopping at this Sephora, be aware that you might be treated differently if you don't look the part of what they expect. It's disappointing that in 2025, this is still happening. If you need help finding your true shade or need a product recommendation, please ask for Victor! Best customer service I've ever receive! He came up to me when I was looking for a concealer and he truly consulted me on my everyday makeup style, what I was looking for in a product, what I've used, what I've been wanting to try, etc. and found a great product for me. After that I really felt comfortable asking him for more product recommendations and he even gave me a sample of a skin tint I've been wanting to try out before buying. You can tell he cares about helping customers and has a passion for makeup! Overall this location seems to have most tester products in stock which is great. Nice to walk around when not busy but can see an issue with getting around if it's really busy. read more

In terms of Sephora, it's the standard Sephora layout and products but this location is convenient since it's located in The Domain Shopping area. Customer service here can be a hit and miss, though the attendants here aren't as friendly or welcoming. In my experience, they just walk by you or you get the feeling of being rushed or not cared for if they do assist you. I think for a high end shopping plaza, there is room for improvement for customer service. read more

Cashier flipped out and was like "you can't do that!" i apologized like twice and she just kept sighing under her breath. My daughter was using the drunk elephant testers with permission and a lady came up to her and told her to stop. She only pumped one pump of the little flower moisturizer. This was a really unpleasant experience with me and my daughter. She now feels like she did something wrong, which I assure you, no other Sephora employee would say she did. I understand that many Sephoras get vandalized by children, but if it's that big of an issue, I don't understand why they can't just be taken away. Hands down THE WORST SEPHORA store on the planet! Literally felt like the "beauty advisors" were being burdened when I asked for a tester of a product I wanted to buy! The person asked me "if I were blind " and couldn't see the tester was right there! Semi New to the whole skin care routine (not the best time to go because u can't sample anything) But I was asked if I needed help after I'm assuming looking lost a lady helped but wasn't extremely friendly and very rushed (there was 5 ppl in there n 7 employees so idk why) but she asked me what I was looking for I told her I'm somewhat new and needed a moisturizer and that I was combo skin and she went into well do i want a clean skin care or not and do I want Amit aging and so many more questions which I was already feeling overwhelmed but this made it worst and I let her know I'm just looking for a moisturizer because I tried a few others n they broke me out she said oh that happens ... I just didn't feel like she was to happy to help someone with no experience So I was looking at the two she recommended n had another question n I couldn't find the original lady so I asked the nearby employee a question about them (because the two she recommended one was clean the other wasn't) and she said well didn't u already talk to the other employee? So walking away to go check out I had just randomly picked one , feeling very defeated ANDREA Walked up and asked if I found everything ok I said I think lol I'm not sure and she went above and beyond and took me back to the moisturizers and explained it all and why she loved a specific moisturizer And what my skin may benefit from She was so friendly, knowledgeable and kind I ended up buying other things just to try out instead of just a moisturizer. Went in to make a return on a defective product. The spray spring would not disperse any product and the lid was not twist off so I have no way to use the product. I was denied because it was outside of the 60 day return period. I asked to speak the manager and the associate behind the counter said he was the manager but in a very rude tone. Went on to tell me there was nothing he could do and that I should go home and try and pry the lid off in order to get the product out (which I had already done to no avail) but the fact that this was his solution was not only completely inappropriate but also ridiculous. Why should I have to use the product in this way? He was very cold and rude. Not the type of customer service I would expect from Sephora and definitely not from a manager. read more

Let me preface this by saying I love Sephoras in general. This review is not for the company but the particular store. It's brand spanking new; sparkly and shiny and beautiful, which it should be! I'm pretty sure it's the largest in terms of square feet in the Austin area; it feels huge! That being said, I feel like they are missing some heavy hitters as far as brands go. I was expecting to see some luxury brands because it's the Domain: Armani, Burberry, and Tom Ford (Tom Ford is new to Sephora generally so I was really hoping to see it) are all missing, as well as some Stila which is usually a staple everywhere. They had a few isles of products sectioned off (masks, serums, moisturizers) which took up more space than what is necessary. It's nice to have, but every Sephora does that on a more condensed scale which achieves the same function but allows for more brand space. Since it's a grand opening weekend they were heavily staffed, borrowing from other stores and heavy vendor support, so the customer service was overwhelming. It'll calm down and I'm confident that it will remain consistently good as all Sephoras are great with customer service. Overall, it's a great location and this will be probably end up as the one I visit the most. I love the Domain and I think it was a great decision to build one here! I just hope to see some brands added as they adjust their business over time. read more

This location has friendly and helpful staff. I can always find what I need, and can easily find parking in the garage behind it. It can be a madhouse on The weekends, but I guess that is any Sephora. It's definitely not as crowded as the on at Northpark in Dallas. If you are not an insider, sign up. Not only do you accrue points, but they can also pull up shades and item numbers of makeup that you have purchased in the past. I also live for the cute little Sephora bags! read more

From my experience on 1/2/2020: Sooooo...there's a new guy here named JaVonnie and he's pretty nice. Also, another lady who helped me with my Mario purchase at the front of the store. Buttttt...there's a girl at the checkout counter, she has big hair and her lace front isn't the best? Yeah - her...she has the ugliest attitude behind that pretty make-up filled face. I have watched her interactions each time I've entered this Sephora and she's rude each time I've seen her on the clock. I'm not sure why they allow her to check people out - I overheard a mom and daughter complain about their experience checking out with her this last time. Hopefully the girl with the bad attitude gets some customer service lessons. There was a snarky manager there my second to last time, as well. You may be better off going to the Arboretum. read more

The worst customer service ever. I bought a tarte lipstick couple of months back and the lipstick broke. I went in to complain and I was told by an extremely unfriendly staff member that they can not replace it. This shiny new location is located on the ever expanding Rock Rose area. The team at this new location was eager to help and I loved that most of the employees were wearing Halloween themed makeup. They must have brought their A team as service was also very quick from directing me where a product was located to the check out experience. They carry quality brands, I especially like their sheet masks and Naked line. If your looking for more economical options Sephora has a line of products that typically cost less that the other products they carry. Make sure to sign up for their free rewards program which gets you lots of freebies to include a a special gift during your birthday month. read more

She managed to kick us out 5 minutes before closing even when I told her I was ready to get my usual foundation and needed help finding it. She tried from about 30 seconds and said told my husband we had to get out at 9. I found what I wanted but decided against buying it there and even told Angie this. She didn't care and said a very condescending "I'm sorrryyy". The Arboretum Sephora is much better and has excellent customer service. Don't bother. I usually shop online, but came in specifically to get personal help with eye makeup. First, I had to wait which was ridiculous because they had literally just opened (I was the second person there ). There were about eight employees wandering around. Finally, the woman who helped me was rude and useless. She was happy to inform me of what she couldn't do for me. I finally guided her to something I could look at and she didn't even have the creativity to figure out how I could try it on, but I was able to figure it out. She scrambled to find a Q-Tip and I tried on colors. I showed her the two options asking her input. "Yeah, it's up to you," she said. Yes, I'm aware it's up to me, I was kind of looking for some input from a professional (although honestly based on her look, I was better off on my own). But, really, nothing? I visited two Sephora's yesterday and was shocked at how crummy the customer service was at both. Based on the other poor reviews here, it looks like someone needs to review their hiring practices. This was the second location I visited yesterday. I received a 15% off for a foundation and I had been considering buying a new foundation anyway bc it had been a while. Unfortunately most of the time I buy a foundation the same day I sample it I end up disappointed when I get home. I'm very pale and have dry skin so they usually end up looking orange or emphasizing the dryness. For this reason I like to get a few samples, take them home, try them for a few days then pick the one I like best. After my experience at the first store I thought surely someone here will be more helpful. However the first person I asked for help snapped at me that she was already helping someone else. She wasn't standing with anyone so this wasn't apparent but she acted like I was so rude for asking her. Then a very sassy man came and begrudgingly asked if I needed help. When I told him I wasn't sure what shades I needed he picked one tried it and then rushed through getting me the others with out even trying them on my skin to see if they matched. A girl then came up and he asked her to get another sample for me based on a sample he had picked without testing and she came back with a couple. He told her to go with the one with yellow undertone bc I had a lot of yellow in my skin. I don't know much about shades of foundation but I know for sure I do not have yellow undertones. I'm super fair and part of the problem (which I told him) is I always go home and look orange. Once he was done bagging the samples he immediately walked away and left the girl to talk to me. He acted like I was wasting his precious time and he had so many other more important things to do. The girl who finished answering some of my questions was the only friendly, helpful person I talked to in this store. Sure enough I got home and the only sample he gave me that wasn't too yellow was the one he tried on my skin. So this unpleasant experience was all for nothing bc I didn't end up with the samples of the products I was interested in in the shades closest to my skin tone. Horrible customer service and not even good at his job. I'm currently looking to buy a new set of makeup for an event but will try Nordstrom instead bc their customer service seems to be a whole hell of a lot better. read more

I went to this location to make an exchange and received about $7 in credit that was returned to a visa gift card that I no longer had because there was no balance on it. They were unable to refund it back to my debit card even though it was also used in that transaction. The manager (I believe her name was kelly) reiterated that there was nothing she could do for me and that I needed to call the gift card company, which is a huge hassle considering that I no longer have the card, I don't know the card number, and it was never registered under anyones name. I tried to explain that to her and simply asked if she could issue me a sephora gift card with that balance but she just repeated "sorry, theres just really nothing else I can do for you". I could care less about the money, it was just the principle of it. You should consider hiring a more friendly and helpful manager. Anyways I called customer service and they were extremely helpful, and apologized on the behalf of their awful store manager. Thank you! read more

I'd give zero if I could. I went in with a tired toddler in my arms who's been refusing to get off and I received zero help. When I asked for help I got 'advices' to buy a whole line (though I explained i was simply looking for a gift for someone who doesn't care for a complicated ritual). She stood there and eyed the product when I told her my choice. I usually don't ask for help just because I have a child with me and I probably would have refused if she offered to help, but she acted as if I was expecting her to 'service' me. It was pretty obvious I had no free arms. I managed to pick up the $80+ bottle of serum off the shelf without breaking anything. I ran into the same Halloween faced employee when I needed to locate the check out. She, again barely pointed the register and promptly went back to chatting away with her colleague. The "makeup samples" are gross. Because there's makeup scraped out and spread everywhere, it's a messy store unfortunately. It almost seems like it's for kids to play with and let me tell you... the teenagers and tweens think so. If I wanted makeup with kid germs I would let my own kids play in my makeup. Samples need to be rotated often because most the little pans are missing or empty or so gross you can't test. The "makeup artists" don't wash their hands before applying makeup. Getting my "makeup done" was someone just like slathering my face with germy sample makeup and I looked like a monster after. You can't even bring clean makeup for them to use on you lol. They don't like me for returning things according to the return policy but guess what? I do it anyways. Some people are really rude about the returns. They kinda try and find a way to say no... which isn't the store policy. Never had that at the Arboretum store. read more

Profiling! Horrible customer service! This place is training for the CIA. I shop at Sephora for all my makeup needs. Recently I went to this location at the Domain, and was literally eyeballed down my entire time in there. I felt like they considered me some sort of criminal as they kept staring and following me around the store without saying a word, or even smiling at me. It felt like I was being stalked. Even after I made my purchase and was waiting on my friend, they looked at me like I was suspect waiting inside for her to check out. I was so uncomfortable I had to go outside. Just because I wasn't wearing designer clothes, doesn't mean I'm a shady person. I was so offput by my time there, I won't ever go back to that location. You should train your staff to focus more on providing better customer service, and allow security to do their job. read more

They followed her around like a criminal and had 12+ employees on a NOT busy Wensday afternoon! Every corner people asked if I needed help when i was just trying to browse. I went to this store the day after Christmas for their sale. I saw a sale for Benefit mascara for $15. I grabbed the tube of mascara and went to purchase it. The register rang it up at regular price ($24). I informed the cashier that there is a sale sticker for $15 that is placed over the mascara and she stated she would have to ask the manager. The manager walked over to the Benefit section and stated that even though the sale sticker says $15, it only applies to the black color and not the brown color. The sale sticker did NOT specify a color and was placed directly over the black AND brown mascara testers. Clearly this store is falsely advertising sale prices for items and ringing them up at regular price. I will never shop at this location again and will most likely stop purchasing products through Sephora altogether because of this bad practice of falsely advertising sales. read more

Worst experience I have ever had. Aggressive employees would not leave my friend and I alone. Barely walked into the store and they already treated me like I stole something and the same people followed me around my whole time there. After hearing "Hi how may I help you?" 20 different times TO THE SAME EMPLOYEES, you'd think they'd get the picture that I know what I'm shopping for. When I went to check out I complained about it and the lady replied with "oh we are just short staffed" I looked around and there was literally 12 employees there. Not short staffed, no need for the same people to follow me around. Those people are lucky I even bought something. Almost caused my friend to have a panic attack. So I love me some Sephora, let's be clear about that from the jump. This location is not my favorite but it isn't terrible. I felt it was smaller than the Arboretum location. And in that smaller space it felt like they tried to cram more in. Like trying to organize a bunch of stuff by virtue of the fact of just adding more shelving units. And to be fair, everything was organized by brand, type of product, etc. I guess I'm Sephora spoiled. I don't see how this location is going to be any more convenient for me in my day to day life.
