That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. There was one customer in the store near the register area shopping but none of the employees in the store were assisting that customer. She led me to the register to begin my return but then told me it would be a minute as she would be checking out the customer who had been shopping with no employees helping her. Mind you there was another employee who also came up to the register desk but did not offer to help me. So I waited . After issuing the credit refund to the store gift card both of the employees went into the back room leaving me to shop with no assistance. I had to ask several times for one of the store employees standing at the front of the store to come and help me. By this time there were NO other customers in the store. I have to say I have never felt so ignored and unseen as I was the entire time I was shopping in this store. The staff had no interest in helping me and for me to have to ask over and over for someone to help me when there were no other customers in the store was just disappointing. I won't ever understand how four employees had to be asked to help a customer in a store that had no other customers. It was really frustrating. I am sorry I ever went there.
