I've visited this location many times over the years, but after my experience on 4/15/2026, I won't be returning. While I was in the makeup section trying to find my foundation shade, a staff member walked past me nearly bumping into me just to assist another customer who was only a few feet away. I stood there, honestly stunned, as he then moved on to help yet another nearby customer without ever acknowledging me. It felt as though I was completely invisible. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and fairness. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here, and it left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. The South Windsor location has always provided a much more positive experience the staff there are consistently friendly, attentive, and respectful to everyone read more

The Sephora store in Westfarms Mall is great one for your skincare and makeup needs. I don't like going to the mall, but if I happen to be here, I'll stop by the Sephora for what I might need at the time. This store is well stocked and updated with their current inventory. It's not the largest store, but they still carry all of the premium products you would find on their website. Currently during the holiday shopping season, it is packed with shoppers. I still managed to find what I need and leave in a timely manner. The line to check out was long but moved quickly, since they had multiple cashiers on hand. The staff are always ready to help me find what I need, and sometimes offer samples as a suggestion of a product. If something is out of stock, they'll order it for me with fast and free shipping. Haven't been to this location in years and I will certainly never go back there again! What has this Sephora become??? Firstly, I could be wrong but it appeared we were being followed (what they thought was nonchalantly was blatantly obvious) we even got tagged team followed at one point lol... pathetic. Anyhow I asked one of the "followers", I mean ladies Who I assumed worked there if they carried a certain Korean skincare product and she seemed as if I were bothering her and that she had better things to do, like follow someone else next. I'm guessing she was hoping to catch me doing something else by the way she looked at me. So she said they didn't have that product and so I asked if they carried any Korean skincare products at all and she said they did and proceeded to show us where. If I hadn't seen the sign and known I had walked into a Sephora, I would've never guessed these woman worked there....they didn't look the part of a beauty advisor, two of them looked like they had just come back from coaching a soccer game. I don't know what these new uniforms/tops were all about but they looked horrendous and sloppy! It literally looks like some type of sports jersey! You're doing it wrong Sephora. Maybe this was a temporary special uniform or maybe they weren't supposed to be wearing it or something but please stop wearing it, I'd rather see the Star Trek looking uniforms. There was not one employee in there I would go and ask for any makeup advice or any other cosmetic or beauty product advice because none of them looked or acted the part of a helpful bubbly beauty advising employee. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed in this establishment and experience and I will never ever step foot in there again. I actually had a few things in hand that I was going to purchase and I put them all back since we were being watched diligently and constantly asked if we needed help with anything. They weren't getting one red cent of my money. There's a way to sincerely ask someone if they need help and they know you mean it and then there is a way to ask if someone needs help but you're really saying, "please don't steal anything." They have a great selection of premium products that are (mostly) easy to find. I found some of the best products I've ever used all in one place-- Laneige, Drunk Elephant, Lancôme-- and that's just the skin care. Great make up brands, fragrance and hair care. They have an amazing selection of organic and low preservative products. They are almost always stocked with the items I need. The sales people give recommendations and generally have used the products or similar products/brand. I don't get hassled if I'm just browsing, no one tries to sell me something if I want to be left alone. They don't have to bother me, because I usually find everything I need on my own. I also like their branded stuff. Their Sephora brushes are great. The make-up covers well and never causes break outs. Their matte is true matte-- some brands have so much mica (like Bare Minerals) it's just not really the finish I want in my foundation. I also like their rewards program. My birthday month surprise is always a quality product (Kat Von D, Laneige, Shiseido, etc.) and I like that they have products for men in their samples because they make fun surprises for my husband. Makes all those minutes standing outside worth it, I guess! This location in particular is a decent size, has good amount of product, and I've never had poor service. Despite having to deal with mall traffic and parking, they have a fantastic location close to the main entrance/Macy's which makes it a quick in-and-out situation if you just need one or two things. This is not a review for the Sephora location inside JC Penney, which has 1/4 the selection of this one and sits on the other side of the mall. read more

employees are rude, treat people badly, the store is chaotic, there is only ever like 1 register open with a line wrapping around the entire store, employees are hard to find and hard to deal with, overall it's the selfish people who are working here my daughter (14) went in this store to find one of her products and while i left her alone to look while i browsed, an employee treated her so rudely and did not even help her, my daughter simply asked if they had the product in stock and where she could find it and the employee responding with no in a rude tone and walked away not even helping to where she could find it. read more

Sephora. We are done. I have loved this place for YEARS. Like decades. I'm an OG Sephora shopper, and since this was the first one in CT, it was my first Sephora experience. I remember being in high school and falling in love with the colors, the creativity and the freedom to sample whatever I wanted, at my leisure. The Sephora experience of recent is nothing like that in the slightest. I was in the store not five minutes when I was approached in rapid fire succession by five associates asking if I needed help. Fine. Maybe they have to do that. However, the last straw came when I was trying a product--three associates swarmed me simultaneously to grill me on what I was looking for. I was looking for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. After today, I've learned my lesson: Sephora isn't the place to go for that. I have thousands of "points" and so I can assure you I'm a great customer, but this was the last straw. I'll take my business to Ulta and Nordstrom. Where I can browse and muse in peace and freakin quiet. Sorry Sephora. It's been 20 fun years but the in-store experience is ridiculous. You lost a huge customer today. read more

I took my granddaughter for a birthday makeover. Anastasia was the artist. Wonderful work, knows what she is doing and couldn't have been kinder and more respectful to my GD who is pretty knowledgeable about makeup! She brought a picture of what she was looking for and Anastasia did it perfectly! Helpful for skills in putting on lashes and for a brow pencil for me that i absolutely love. Will be back! Highly recommend! (the cost of the hour makeover is $50 product purchase) ...not difficult to do! read more

I just ran out of my make-up setting spray. Normally, I go to Ulta, but I didn't have a coupon nor did not feel like driving to the Meriden Mall. Since Westfarms was conveniently in my way, I stopped by the Sephora in the mall. I walked in on a busy Sunday afternoon and was overwhelmed by the layout of the store. Luckily, Filomena, a sales associate, came to the rescue. She navigated me to every make-up setting spray offered in all price ranges. She was very helpful and did not try to upsell me on anything, which I appreciated. read more

"Let's go have fun" is a great thing to hear from a Sephora employee because it naturally involves playing with makeup. I begrudgingly came to the mall with my sister yesterday and followed her into Sephora to look for a new lipstick. Debbie, the sales associate who helped us out, was absolutely WONDERFUL, fun, and patient with helping my sister test out all kinds of products to find the right color for her. She ended up leaving with a gorgeous Christian Dior lipstick in coral (which she NEVER would have chosen based on what the color looked like in the tube, but it looked lovely on). Overall, between Debbie and the other gals that offered to help us, it seems like the staff here are patient and helpful without being pushy. Definitely a win! read more

I cannot go to Westfarms without getting my Sephora fix. I tried going in the mall and not visiting Sephora one time and I felt empty inside, uh huh it's that deep for me. I go to Westfarms 2-4x a month and I feel sorry that they have to see my face that much but I really love this place. I always get random samples of perfume from them (limit is three at a time) and they're very generous with the amount they put in each little plastic vial. I just love the concept of being able to try ev.er.y.thing. Nothing is off limits other than of course accessories. I've been able to call bullsh*t on so many products that claim to be "life changing" and that's what I love the most. I've also been able to find some amazing staples. The prices do not bother me, they sell mostly high-end/high-performance products. They're priced competitively, this is no Wet and Wild display at your local Walmart. Nothing at all wrong with Wet and Wild, it's just the difference between a Ford Focus, good car that runs great, and a BMW, great car that runs like a dream with all the perky accoutrements. I've never gotten my makeup done here, but I like knowing that there are skilled people to do that for free if a need presents itself. A minor complaint, no fault of Sephora, is that it can get pretty cramped and claustrophobic on busy days. I bit more square footage might help especially as they're constantly adding new lines, there's hardly any room for much more. This store will always be in my top 5. We've had two disappointing experiences at other Sephoras in the area, so we headed to the Westfarms Mall store with high hopes and low expectations. Let's just say our expectations were met. Geez, can Sephora train their employees to something -- anything -- other than upsell??? We came in, asked for the product we wanted, and couldn't get the employee to get it for us because she was so busy telling us what we needed what something they had a special on and would be even better. (And more costly - surprise!). We simply couldn't get this person to respond to our needs. Finally we sought out another employee who was easier to deal with, but no one in the place wins any personality contests. These are salespeople. Live with it. And if that's what you want or need, your experiences may be better than ours. Good luck. For the somewhat higher prices than the competition -- which we'll use henceforth -- and the somewhat lousier service, we'll avoid Sephora here, there and everywhere. read more

Every time I come into this Sephora, I usually leave empty-handed. Their products are a bit pricy than other places, but they carry higher quality brands than most other places. There is a very small clearance area where, if you are lucky, can find something that you are looking for at the fraction of the regular price. Service is sometimes a hit or a miss. Some days I go they are extremely helpful and answer any questions you have promptly. Other days they see you walk in but don't acknowledge you at all. I guess it depends on who is on the clock and what day you go. I go to Sephora mainly just for nail polish. There is a great selection of different colors and glitters, as well as nail care products. Usually I go to see which colors I am interested in, try them on my nails, and make a note of which ones to get when they go on sale. Beware though, when they do have a sale on polishes, the popular colors will run out quicker than the time it takes to dry your newly painted nails. If you use a lot of beauty products on a daily basis, Sephora is probably better for you. For everyone else like me, you are better off going to another beauty store or a pharmacy to get that mascara or face wash at a better price. read more

Always go to thé evergreen one But once in awhile ill go to westfarms. Thé service sucks everyone in there is unknowledgeable and they are rude. I love Sephora. This one isn't cramped like the one in Canton, and the samples aren't grungy like some Sephoras either. The staff is fairly attentive but will gladly leave you be if you're just aimlessly browsing...because sometimes you just want to mess around with makeup in peace. read more

Sephora is my go to place for all of my skincare and beauty essentials. They have everything you could every need or want if you are willing to spend a few dollars for it. You can try anything you like, and if you chose not to try it in the store, you may ask for a sample to take it with you and one of the Sephora workers will gladly put any product into a little take home pot for you to use. Since you have the option to try everything, there have been some Sephoras that I've been in that are disgusting! This location always manages to keep the store sparkling clean. The only gripe I have with this store is that it's a busy store and they never seem to be fully stocked. When I do need to make a Sephora run, I go for several things, and I leave there with two or three. They are always out of certain Dior cosmetics and certain Ojon hair products. I know people want these things, so order more! read more

This store has gone downhill in the past year. The employees are rude. They ask you if you need help with anything but if you want to ask more than 1 question they seem annoyed, like your taking up their valuable time. The store is always understaffed. I specifically went in with no makeup to get a color iq. When I told the employee that is what i wanted she tried talking me out of it telling me that it usually doesn't give you your correct color. I told her i wanted to do it anyway. She looked annoyed , like i was wasting her time. I would've spent a good amount of money that day but because of the rudeness of the employee I went to ulta instead. I had 2 employees helping me for at least 30 minutes to find the right foundation for me. I will no longer be shopping at sephora. I will purchase my makeup from ulta, Macy's and Nordstrom instead. Sephora is a beauty supply store. Positives: Selection- Great selection! I love being able to compare different brands. The quality of the products is very high and I never have issues finding a product. Decor- very modern which I like. Negatives: Everyone will probably agree with me when I say Price- Yes these products are high quality, but I mean really? I could spend $6 on a perfectly good eyeliner at CVS than spend $23 on an eyeliner from Sephora. And being a girl, I love makeup and trying new things and there are always 30 products that I would love to buy from Sephora, but the prices prevent me from doing that. Overall, a very nice beauty store. They also do free makeup trials on customers! If their prices were a tad (okay a lot) lower, then I would be there 24/7, but that probably won't happen. People seem to be really harsh about this place and I'm not sure why. It was clean and I had multiple people approach me to ask if I needed help. I came into the store looking to have someone teach me how to use makeup to cover scars. I'm giving this Sephora location 2 stars for the product I purchased- MakeUp Forever Concealer. Not one employee said hello to me when I walked in. Not 1! I usually shop at the Stamford location but I was in the area so I stopped in today & I'll never do that again. At one point I was searching for the Makeup Forever products, looking lost and as soon as I made eye contact with a specialist she turned her head. I often shop at this Sephora and have had only positive experiences until today. Because I look younger than I am, the employees automatically don't treat me as they treat adults. The employees were not pleasant towards me today in multiple sections of the store. The employees working at the skincare and makeup sections sounded as if I was annoying them when I asked a few simple questions. The only reason i'm writing this review is because I spend a lot of money here and believe I deserve to be treated like they treat other customers who may be or look older than I. read more

I always have a good experiance here. I love the skincare computer that prints out your free sample info so that I can try the products before dropping my hard earned coin on a product I might not like or worse- it breaks me out. If I do end up hating something, I have never been given a trouble for a return. The helpful associates keep me coming back and the store is clean and organized. I love that this is the closest SEPHORA to me! All of the girls that work here have been really nice. They really have almost any awesome makeup brand and they give you samples of shampoo or makeup or perfume...literally anything you want! This Sephora also has a nice little sale area were you can find awesome mark downs on their travel bags and make up and lots of nail polishes. Any normal girl could spend hours here just looking at all the products and testing things out...I LOVE IT! read more

I generally like shopping at Sephora. There is a huge selection, which can be overwhelming but also means they are likely to have something that works great for you, no matter what you're looking for. The employees are also generally very helpful. Almost every time I've visited they have been staffed adequately to ensure that someone greets me and asks if I need help within the first few minutes of arriving. I appreciate that they will color match you, and help you find the right shade of whatever you are looking for. They now have a new little machine that does the color match, and emails you your options. I was a little surprised, though, that it is so limited- according to my color match there were only a handful of brands that make a foundation in my color, but the ones I've been using for years (purchased from Sephora, back when they would color match by hand) seem to match me perfectly. On my last visit I wasn't a huge fan of any of the ones that came up as recommendations, and one of the employees ended up showing me a different foundation, not listed on my color chart, that matched me just fine. My biggest complain here is the upselling. Some people are good at doing it without driving customers crazy, and some are not-- it's hit or miss. I understand that they are always going to try and get you to purchase brushes and skin care items, and I'm usually prepared for it. Sometimes, though, it's just over the top. On my last trip I went in for foundation, concealer, and blush. After pointing me towards a foundation, the woman launched into an aggressive sell on skincare and brushes. She went as far as to go in the back and bring me some brushes that were on special that day, and try to convince me to buy those (they were $40 apiece but buy 1 get 1 free). None of the brushes she brought out were the one she had used on me, but she kept insisting they were repeatedly and telling me it was the same brush as the one I had said I liked. I could see from the drawing on each box that none of them were, and I ended up having to take the brushes out of the boxes and pull the plastic off to show her that they were not, in fact, the angled brushes she was claiming they were. This ordeal took almost ten minutes of her following me around and going back and forth to the back, and when I finally told her no, I had now decided not to buy any brushes at all, she left me alone to go help another customer, despite the fact that she had not helped me to find the other makeup items I had come in for. My recommendation for Sephora would be to help the employees find a balance between getting the customers what they really want and need, and trying to upsell items. I will say that I enjoy the Sephora rewards program (Beauty Insider), though. It's fairly easy to accumulate points if you make even semi-regular purchases, and it makes you feel special and less awful about the amount of money you are spending when you are able to choose a lovely little free gift from the cash register area. They also give you a small gift if you visit around your birthday. read more

Worst service. The lady who "helped" me couldn't move on fast enough. I wanted to try new shades of lipstick and she told me to just buy and return them if i didn't like them. What a waste or do they just repackage them? And the testers were beyond gross she rubbed the lipstick directly on her palm and then put it back some had hairs stuck to them. Just left sephora at west farms mall. The girl on the register very rude and lost a sale and future customer I was standing on the side of my sister as she paid for s purchase and when I went to pay for mine the girl at the register refused to wait on me because I was not in back of her in the roped area. The customer who came up behind us was waited on because she was "technically" in the line. (Quote) when I put my purchase down to leave she smirked ad said Ok! Do they teach anything about customer service and the way to talk to people!?! read more

I came in here to shop around during the holidays. The place was mobbed!!! But, I guess really no surprise there. As I was looking around, I encountered an overwhelming number of employees who asked if I needed help. After a while, I was like, "jeez - leave me alone already!!!!" Of course, a little while later I needed help while looking at a new variety of eyeliner. Of course, someone pretty quickly asked if I needed help and she was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the product I was asking about. She even gave me a demo so I could see how it worked! So, overall I felt a bit hassled, but definitely go the help I needed exactly when I needed it! read more

I drove from Watertown to go to this Sephora simply because this store is much larger then the one in Waterbury. But the customer service is terrible! I walked around for at least half an hour and was never greeted or helped, didn't receive any samples. I would rather go to the smaller Sephora in Waterbury where everyone is so helpful then be ingored while workers ignore me to talk to their friends about how they like a certain brand of makeup because it stays on while they get drunk. I went to Sephora today, 5/3/14 for the first time. The store was extremely busy. A sales associate, Alicia, helped me pick out eye make up. She showed me the BareMinerals line and it was exactly what I was looking for. The eye shadow Pallet comes with four colors. Alicia explained how to use each color and made sure I was completely satisfied with the selection. I highly recommend Kara at the West farms Mall location. She's extremely helpful and knowledgeable of their products, and makes great recommendations based on my age and lifestyle. I'm fairly comfortable with makeup, usually my friends ask for me to do theirs when going out. But I'm reviewing because I had my make-up done before a wedding last weekend so that I didn't have to deal with the stress of doing it myself. My appointment was with Jennie & she did a FANTASTIC job. Flawless, exactly what I wanted, held up all night, listened to what I said in response to discussing different products. She took a fair amount of extra time, I think the appointment was actually closer to being 90 minutes but it was well worth it. I absolutely plan on going back to her for my next event. read more
