Jasmine, Brianna, and Seville were extremely pleasant to work with. Brianna were very patient as I was looking for the best foundation and concealer that were vegan and cruelty free. She helped me get the perfect shade! Seville checked on me a couple times to make sure I didn't need any assistance. Jasmine greeted me with a smile at the register and we made small talk as she was checking me out. Seville and Jacob: The Tucson Sephora store has positive customer service reviews when compared to the Park Mall Sephora. Brianna, Jasmine, & Seville,(Sephora Tucson Mall) were named in a previous post for customer service. I walked in and requested to work with which ever of them were available. Seville was everything that the previous poster said. He helped me find the right color shade. I understood from him to be open to other foundation brands when looking for the right foundation. I was set on one brand and left with (the help of Jacob) another more complimentary foundation. Both Seville and Jacob helped me: how to apply liquid foundation, best tools to use to get that beat face. They are both knowledgeable about the nuances of makeup. Nobody helps you, I was in the store for 20 minutes and didnt get acknowledged a single time.

A member of the sales staff was beyond rude to me today. My crime that warranted such rude remarks?? I saw a new dry shampoo by the cash wrap and sprayed a little inside the cap so I could check out the fragrance. Immediately an employee stood up (she had been restocking products) and very loudly and very rudely stated, "That's not a tester!" I said I was sorry and that there were no testers. I was startled she'd speak to me in that tone, let alone expect a good, long term customer to pay $20 for a TRAVEL size bottle of dry shampoo without knowing what the fragrance smelled like. My gosh she over reacted. She took the bottle out of my hand and said, "Well it's a tester now." You would have thought I had gone in there and spit on everything in the store! Who buys a shampoo of any sort without smelling it first??? There was no sign saying not to smell the product. Just then another employee came over - this one was far more polite. She said my face mask wasn't sufficient and that I needed to put on a different mask. That was irritating as my face and mouth were covered, but at least she was nice about it. The first nasty employee was so rude that I left the store without purchasing a thing. I'll order the products I need online. It's a shame for them because it was going to be a good size sale. Look for yourself, no sign saying not to smell the fragrance or basically touch it. Utterly ridiculous behavior by the first employee. read more

Went here with my bonus mom after a bad experience at a neighboring Ulta. She was looking for a replacement for a L'Oréal eyeshadow she had which was discontinued. We were greeted right away and asked if we needed help. My mom explained the situation and the sales rep said I believe Anastasia has a similar color. She took us over to the display and tested it and the color was very similar. My mom decided to go with it but the shadows are inserts and they are supposed to go into a small case Anastasia sells for like $32 but they give you for free if you buy four eyeshadows. My mom only wanted one color especially since she had never used the brand so that was the only negative which wasn't the employee's fault but did take away from my mom's experience since essentially she bought a refill which was sold to her in an envelope but not in a little case most eyeshadows come in. But the customer service was excellent and especially since we came here from an Ulta store which only took my mom back to L'Oréal for a match and didn't look at any other brand for a similar color. read more

This store takes the cake with the absolute worst customer service. No manners what so ever. As I was at the station sanitizing, trying a pencil eyeliner on my wrist to determine what color to buy, an associate reaches clear over me, not even bearing the words, "excuse me," and proceeds to continue reaching over me making me feel as if I was not worthy to be trying on a product! Get real! Stores in Beverly Hills, which have the reputation to be uppity have more welcoming and helpful staff. I'll be taking my business somewhere else. BEFORE you go to this Sephora location complete the following tasks: [ ] Wear full face of make-up (Don't skip out on the bronzer!) [ ] Wear your nicest clothes (Bust out the biggest MK purse or Coach purse you have!) [ ] Try to look like the richest "rich bitch" you know and love! Failure to do so will result in being IGNORED I spent 20 minutes in this store and was very dissatisfied with their customer service. Ugh. This review isn't about the make-up or other products in the store, but purely about their service. Let me explain that I already feel uncomfortable about spending a lot of money on make-up, but I've been okay buying the products at Sephora because they are so great. But, every time I walk in the store, I am bombarded by every employee and I often feel pressured to buy items I don't actually want. Yesterday, I was making a rather large purchase, and the clerk checking me out rolled her eyes and stated that I had grabbed a tester item. Without saying a word, she stared at me, apparently implying that I needed to replace the item. She continued to ring me up without even looking at me or saying one word. I already feel uncomfortable paying a lot for make-up, but, if it's high quality I like to go for it. However, I definitely don't agree with spending a lot of money in a place that treats their customers so poorly. read more

I like going here to look around and mostly to buy nail polish. The staff are always to friendly and eager to assist. The created this central display for their Sephora OPI nail polishes that makes it hard to see what the color of the polish looks like. I was told they are redesigning the display soon. read more

Sephora as a product company is pretty good. Do they carry the best of the best? Almost. The service at this particular location is ok. But that's what comes with chain stores like Sephora. People are trained to sell product. So if you want a true assessment for full skin care solutions I'd see a good aesthetician first. For make up consultations it's hit and miss. I came to this store, MAC bag in hand, looking for a more suitable makeup brush. I just came from MAC and purchased the 190 brush. While driving home I thought to myself why would I have bought the 190 when I really needed the 130?? So, we went to Sephora. The sales lady was so nice, unlike like the snooty girls at MAC. She answered my questions and found me the perfect brush! Drumroll.... The 56! We will be heading to Sephora over mac from now on... Unless its for BB cream or if my 187 brush breaks or... No seriously, they are full quality and half the price of MAC. Also, I found out that my cream eyeliner that I bought from them 6 months ago, dried up and can be returned...without a receipt! How awesome is that?! Not sure what you should buy or if this new product line is hit or miss?? Have no fear, it's a sample woman's paradise!!! Update one year later: I'm still loving my Sephora brush over the MAC and it still acts brand new. Best make up though is Chanel, but you knew that. read more

But, there are two girls in particular who go out of their way to help every time I come here. I unfortunately cannot recall their names. Stellar, Customer Service! (((Kudos))) Every time I have stepped foot into this store I have been offered help! I love that! There's a LOT of products and its nice to have someone actually "show" you. The girls are always non-judgmental, meaning whether I buy what they are showing me or not, they are okay with it and still offer their help. I used to try and avoid Sephora as much as possible, mostly because it's in the mall which means you first have to find a parking spot and then deal with crowds of people everywhere. But then I discovered the Make Up For Ever line of makeup which I love so much. Recently I bought a bottle of my favorite foundation there and at first it was leaking a little, and then it exploded all over my makeup bag with no provocation. I took it back into Sephora and the women working were so nice about helping me exchange it for a new non defective bottle. I no longer had my receipt, and they probably could have just said I'd somehow broken the bottle, but instead they were really understanding ( a little horrified by the explosion) and friendly. I've had less than steller customer service there on weekends, but I think that it's because they get so packed it's hard to help everyone at once, not because they actually mean to be rude. Impeccable service, great selection and a staff that is very trial and error friendly. I've been to other sephoras where the staff can be snooty and make snide comments if you stay too long without collecting things to buy. In this sephora they are equally as nice whether you have an intention to buy or not. They have loaded me up with samples and advice without having to spend a dime. And so when I make a purchase, I do it here. My last purchase was a preloaded powder brush gadget with a cap on the bottom.. I got home and opened up the box, and the cap was put on very loosely, so my carpet ended up with a pricey powder coating. I LOVE SEPHORA!! I am one of the on line fanatics who cannot wait to see the newest products coming out. So when the Tucson location opened I was there for their grand opening. I love the the new Sephora store staff. I have had nothing but the best service, VIP treatment with great product knowledge. The store carries 90% of almost everything which can be found on line. I have been to other Sephora store locations even the largest in San Fransisco, our Tucson location does the brand proud. Easy to navigate and very helpful associates. I love that they have exclusive colors in some of my favorite Dior lip products. I also love that they seem to be fairly educated with new products when they launch. yeah ,really lousy customer service as another person on here said...high turnover, employee wise. All the women who work there seem to be wearing such heavy make-up(foundation,powder) too....and with all the mirrors in this place- what are they thinking? It makes them look like they cannot recommend a good product....because what woman wants that much make-up VISIBLE on their face...I would rather go to the drugstore and be left alone...I swear , everyone in Sephora has to ask you if you're finding everything okay...like they're making sure you're not stealing anything....that's how I met every socially inept person working there...I don't know their names, but it felt like Robert Palmer's video chicks were on patrol. I have been coming to this Sephora for a few years now and decided to finally write a review after my most recent encounter there. I walked into Sephora completely flustered by my beauty dilemma, and within 20 minutes, they had found the perfect products for me, within my price range. I got to try them on and walked out feeling great. In retrospect, I have had multiple successful visits at this location - the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and I have found multiple products through the years that I absolutely love. I really appreciate customer service at places like Sephora that doesn't make you feel ugly or poor or unstylish even you visit with unwashed hair. (A friend. Totally not me. Promise. Probably.) Our recent visit was great. It prompted me to write a review! We signed up for a couple of the free service tutorials with the style experts there and while they are definitely repping for the products they use, they were patient in explaining what they were doing and why and allowing you to look and watch with each step. Helps to feel a little bit better about the fact that I am not in any way as put together cosmetically as any of the staff. One of the male staff members had on false lashes and the effect of his eye products together was simply stunning. You can tell they are trained well in what they do and know about what the dizzying array of products do and do best. Sephora's rewards program allows for picking samples which range from moisturizer to lipstick to skin treatments, and dropping one or a few extra goodies in with your selections is always fun. read more

It was my first time going to this Sephora and it was unpleasant. I love the Sephora by my house in Portland so I was excited to see this one. The customer service was disappointing. There was maybe one or two people that were helpful but there were also very unaccommodating workers. The lady at the cashier was kind but I didn't catch her name. She appeared to be the manager and was very polite and attentive. My grandmother (a 40 year Tucsonion) wanted to check out this store and gifted me my 1 purchase. First of all I love any Sephora. It's a land of wonder and magic with endless possibilities. The associates (makeup artists?) At this particular location are some of the nicest I've ever met. They don't give you that weird skeptical look when they ask if you need help as if its an inconvenience to them. And they let me keep returning the same item after getting mismatched multiple times. Which brings me to this. As nice as they are, I've never been correctly matched in here. They always without fail give me a pink beige color and I clearly have a warm undertone. Which I've told them and they still mismatch me. So I've just resorted to a pattern of trial and error. Buy it, go home and see if it matches , return it. Whatevs. read more

I went into Sephora not really knowing exactly what i needed. The store at the time was well kept and nicely lit so that it was easy to find the different areas of the store. Sephora is also very great about letting you try things before you buy them. They were extremely helpful as long as you made it clear what you were looking for so they could find something that will match your needs accordingly. I would recommend this store again, they were all friendly and helpful. I also did not feel like they were trying to waste my time by trying to sell me everything in the store. I will be back again the next time I need something related to beauty products. read more

Can't stop giving this Sephora bad reviews... On my days off I usually don't wear makeup, and today I got a facial. I decided to pop in and grab a few things (totalling $60), and I was at the register within 10 seconds. There was one cashier (expected, it's a Monday and at noon), but a customer in front of me who was clearly having a return issue and thus spending about 10mins with the cashier. I saw 4 other employees (they were not busy) look over at the register but did nothing to either help the cashier or help me check out. Lo and behold a customer who had been there 10 mins after me was immediately helped by a cashier out of nowhere. Annoyed, I continued to wait. When I finally got to the register the girl was curt and would NOT make EYE CONTACT with me! Is my face that hideous with no makeup??? Hate hate hate this Sephora with a passion. I love love love ReTress and anytime I make it down to Tucson I make sure to stop by Sephora since this is like the only place in AZ that sells it. I had a baby about 7 months ago which means half my hair fell out and this is the only stuff that seems to give me results in hair growth. I found the manager lady (who I assume to be a manager because she stands around holding a clipboard) to be extremely rude. I asked about an urban decay lipstick I couldn't find, she snapped at me and told me it was limited edition and isn't for sale any longer, I than explained that urban decay re released the color in the vice line and she snapped at me, raised her voice and said "well you can order it from urban decay than". I was very disappoint when visiting this establishment. I arrived shortly after they opened waiting patiently for an Associate to acknowledge me. The assistant manager stop me and ask if I needed help, I asked her nicely for someone to help me with the color match. She stated she had two new girls coming on and one of them would be with me shortly I watched her walk over to the girls and assumed that they were on their way to help me but then I noticed started they started taking customers that arrived after me as well as customers that were walking in at that very moment. I continue to look at other items at the store waiting patiently for another 30 minutes not once during this time did another employee acknowledge me or ask if I need assistance. I finally got fed up after the assistant manager who told me she would get me assistance looks directly in the face but would not acknowledge me at this point as she sees me standing on the side of the register waiting for someone to help me. I then proceeded to the register to pay for the items that I was taking home the same assistant manager was running the register. She tried to quickly rush me out of the store by quickly ringing up my order not acknowledging my points that I've earned through their incentive program or the fact that I had my birthday gift coming for the month. I had to point that out. As well let her know that she failed to have anyone assist me and tried to recant by saying next time you come in ask for me personally and I'll make sure to have someone help you, sure just like today when I sat there for 30 minutes not being acknowledged after I was told someone would be there to assist me. I am very dissatisfied with the store anf this is getting worse and worse every I come in here the staff are horrible with customer service I'm to the point where I might just go back to Ulta. Sephora is something else. I love their selection of products, and this particular location usually has everything in stock, but I cannot stand the salespeople here. It's not that they aren't friendly, they are, but it's the fact that they're super pushy about what product choices they'd like you to make. I've gone to school for aesthetics and the skin advice they give is a usually a hit or miss. They color matched me for foundation that made me way too dark, and put me in a primer and foundation that would only add to my existing issues I wanted to minimize. Of course I found out that returns are easy to do here and they don't hassle you about anything. Prices are high, but you're getting quality products that tend to last longer than the drug store items (less is more in this case). If you know what you're looking for you're set when you come here, but if you intend to wander and look at everything, you most likely will get asked if you need assistance multiple times, which can get a little bit bothersome. read more
