Locking down the date for the wedding turned out to be a hassle due to closures at Sequoia all Spring, yet Christina just planned out several backup plans and we felt so much better. Her expert knowledge of the area and years of experience shooting elopements in the mountains helped immensely as we dealt with the park's uncertainty. She's an expert communicator and planner who can give you an agenda for the whole day if you want, or can be very flexible and accommodating to our own plans. We loved the natural style of the photography, and the dance floor pictures were INSANE. Fast forward two years later, and it was our turn to get married. We absolutely did not shop around, we knew we wanted Peter to photograph our day. Peter is awesome, simply put. He arrived on our wedding day a good hour earlier than the start of the contract, just to walk around and snap shots of the premises. He was so visibly excited about the beauty of the location, you could just tell he was really having fun and was excited to snap some good shots. We caught Peter running around snapping candid and thoughtful shots. He seriously captured everything we would have wanted him to capture, and we never gave him any direction of what we wanted photographed! Of course, the dance floor pictures were incredible. We are from out of town, but the Mammoth Lakes area means a lot to us, so we wanted to take our maternity pictures there over the holidays. 9months ago I was newly engaged, in school, and trying to plan a wedding with most likely 180…read morepeople. I thought I was gonna stress myself out into oblivion. Desperate, I went on thumbtack and sent out a message (more like a distress signal). Among the replies I got back, Janice from Simply Elegant wedding and events reached out to me. She stood out instantly. She sent me links, and information. And a list of vendors to get on the phone right away. (Free of charge) and once we got on the phone she was extremely professional, funny, and sincere. She knew what I needed, and right away I knew I had to work with her. We made an instant connection, and I'm SO glad I found her! Throughout the past 9 months, Janice was available to me for questions I had, planning, she went with me to every vendor, helped picked our vendors, and was there for every step. Eventually I was calling her my "wedding mom". Haha! She is worth her weight in gold, and I couldn't have done it without her. My wedding was 2 weeks ago.. and it was BEAUTIFUL! Janice took control and made our dream wedding come true! Complete with my dorky Harry Potter stuff, and my husbands love for sports- she made it elegant and fun in such a seamless way. And they all worked amazing together with Janice. EVERYONE loved our wedding and we are still hearing about it from everyone. I couldn't believe the amount of detail and finesse she put into my day. And the whole time (even with the inevitable hiccups that happen- stupid ice guy never showed up) she handled everything the day of , figured it out, and allowed me and my new husband to enjoy wedding without us even knowing! If you're looking for a wedding planner that is not only VERY skilled and knowledgeable about what she does, but also someone who cares about YOU and your day. She is the one to call.
