He even put boxes of cotton pads, cotton balls and q tips in the bathroom. Such a small thing made a big difference for our stay. We could feel the welcoming message from the place and owner. I attended my first Art of Breathwork retreat about 4 years ago and have kept up the practice. The retreats are such an important refresher, taking me deeper and deeper into this powerful practice. As usual, the food was delicious, the room so comfortable, and the environment peaceful. I especially enjoyed quiet walks along the new trails they have created around the property, picking ripe persimmons from the tree, and walking meditation around the labyrinth--made out of lavender bushes! The ceremony area is lovely, filled with blossoms and hummingbirds, the sound of horses in the background, beautiful courtyard and dance floor, a playground for the little ones, fire pit, plenty of guest parking, security...it is a wonderful choice for any occasion! While the weather itself obviously isn't the venue's fault, it didn't feel like they were fully prepared for rainy conditions. The family ended up providing the tents to keep guests covered during the ceremony, and without speakers it was very difficult to hear anything that was being said. There was a small covered area available for shelter, but it wasn't enough to accommodate all of the guests. Overall, it's a charming venue, but it may be worth reconsidering or planning carefully if booking during a rainy season.

It was very easy for a very young child to walk around the whole area, no stroller needed. There were lots of animals to see, feed and pet. My only concern is that camel is in an extremely small space as is the longhorn cow. Some goats and llamas have no shade or shelter during the day. I did not see anybody being unkind to the pets, but there was not enough staff to patrol the people and keep the animals safe. Some of the animals backed away when I tried to pet them, even though I was being gentle. I hope they have alternative space and shelter to the ones I saw.

Taking pictures with all the characters was on top of our list. The animals were out and about; our kids loved seeing the animals up close. They have a private parking lot and there is also street parking available. This is a nice place to take the family without the extensive crowds.
