Since then, errors have been made on my long term medications, but worst of all, their phone system only works 50% of the time. If you do get through, there is no option to speak to anybody. They have acknowledged their phone system is wonky but it's been a year and it hasn't been fixed. I'd hate to give up the people who know me and who have cared for me for twenty years but this is becoming untenable. If a medical practice won't answer phones I'm not sure what use they can be to patients. They have a messaging system but they require three working days for a response. Please, whoever is in charge, fix this. This is not a people problem, it's a reaching people problem. Rich, Dr. Reyna and the staff are amazing and helpful. Two weeks ago, I wrote a review about receiving incorrect information from a pre-op nurse over the phone. Based on that information, I took a medication the morning of my scheduled surgery. As a result, the surgery center canceled my procedure just minutes before they were about to place an IV in my hand. I had to reschedule the surgery for a later date. At the same time, I already had a second surgery--a spinal procedure--scheduled for a Thursday. As I was leaving my home to go to the surgery center, I received a call informing me that the anesthesiologist would not perform the surgery at the center and that it needed to be done in a hospital in case complications occurred. Once again, I was left with no choice but to reschedule. I tried to roll with the punches and moved the first surgery to an earlier date. I was expecting to finally have that surgery next Tuesday. Then, once again, I received a call from a pre-op nurse informing me that the anesthesiologist now wanted additional testing, including an echocardiogram, before proceeding. Of course, I need a referral from my primary care physician, and getting an appointment and completing the test before the scheduled surgery date is practically impossible. So, once again, my surgery is being delayed. My spinal surgery is scheduled for next month, but at this point, I have very little confidence that it will actually happen as scheduled--even though it will now be performed in a hospital. What is most frustrating is that these surgeries were presented to the surgery center well in advance. It is extremely difficult to understand why the anesthesia team is apparently reviewing cases so late in the process, sometimes only shortly before the scheduled procedure. If additional testing or a hospital setting is required, why isn't that determined weeks in advance? Patients should not have to rearrange their lives, prepare for surgery, fast, make transportation arrangements, deal with the stress and anxiety of surgery, and then find out at the last minute that the procedure cannot go forward. Surgery is stressful enough without repeatedly being given conflicting information and having procedures canceled or delayed at the last minute. I understand that patient safety must come first, and I absolutely support appropriate medical precautions. However, better communication, earlier case review, and better coordination between the surgical team, anesthesiologists, pre-op nurses, and patients should be basic expectations. I have been with Sutter Health for years, and most of my medical records and history are already within their system. Unfortunately, these experiences over the past several months have seriously damaged my confidence in the organization. The University of California system is offering Sutter Health as one of the options during upcoming open enrollment. Based on my recent experiences, it is very unlikely that I will choose Sutter, and I certainly cannot recommend the plan to my colleagues. At this point, I am seriously considering requesting copies of all my medical records before the end of the year and moving my care elsewhere. Perhaps my new health plan will provide the level of communication, coordination, and patient care that I expected from Sutter but have not experienced over the past few months. Patients deserve better than last-minute surprises when it comes to something as important and stressful as surgery.

Things to know: - the parking garage opens at 530AM so if you're earlier than that, just hang tight! Tickets are validated at the front desk with a bar code you scan at the exit (there's also an attendant there to assist if you can't reach). - the office opens at 545AM sharp. - the lobby is clean with lots of natural light, comfortable seating, and fresh coffee and tea. Water dispenser for cold and hot water. - staff are wonderfully friendly, attentive, and available for questions. - there's a large TV in the lobby so you can track you person's progress in real time. - the pre-op was smooth and friendly, professional and confidence building (surgery is scary!). All the nurses and the anesthesiologist were upbeat, patient with questions, and explained all things to expect. The surgeon, who you know is busy, never once made us feel like he was rushed and patiently answered our questions about the procedure and after care expectations. - post-op was extremely thorough, and there was special attention to ensuring we understood everything expected. - if you have time to spend, there's a Mel's Diner and iHop nearby... also a nice airy sports bar that opens at 11am just around the corner. Sutter's Fort is also just 1 block over and might be open! All in all, a very positive experience and mom is healing like a champ! Big thanks to all at the Fort Sutter Surgery!

Office staff isn't knowledgeable, a total ball of continual chaos. They can't even read a basic stool test.(see comments below)certainly you don't get what you pay for and this place isn't cheap. Of course they charge you "fair market value" for whatever you do. A term that is a joke. I'm not buying a washer and dryer. A term they use to make themselves sound important so they can stick it you. It's an articulate way bilking you out of your hard earned money. They happily send other staffers in the last minute for your appointments who aren't qualified and still charge full rate or "fair market value." It's all BS. Dr. Burke told me she was sure I had SIBO. SIBO tested negative, wrong again. They can't even diagnose SIBO. Their sole goal is upsell you right away. So they tell you you have SIBO. It's all such a gimmick. You'll go broke in a nano second if you fall for their high pressure sales and will only worsen your condition because they so incompetently dishonest. It's all about the upsell, not your health. If you are really sick and trying to get better or save your life. Go somewhere else. Do not fall for this scam of a practice. I was very sick with a gastritis attack, miserable with difficulty breathing and back pain. I had an appointment with the nutritionist, crucial to my treatment plan instead ended up with the life coach. So....no help there. I was still charged the fair market value. A total joke. Along the way they kept trying to upsell me on a gut restoration kit. High pressure. After what I just paid, no way. I'm glad I didn't take it because the ingredients in it would have made me worse. This is not a competent practice. No one checked my latest allergy test results to see what allergies I had. My new functional doctor did and that's when I realized I would have been in big trouble if I had taken it. Thank God I listened to my instincts and didn't fall for it. They prescribed hormone replacement therapies without any previous test or bloodwork. Thank God I didn't take that either. I asked them about the dosage level they were prescribing without test results, their response, just take it. Yikes.....I doubt that would hold up in court as competent. Turns out I don't need it either. Being desperate for nutritional help or any kind of help and still in pain I tried to quickly make another appointment with the nutritionist since my last nutrition appointment was with a different staff member with no nutritional experience or knowledge. Their response was, her first available is over a months wait time. I pleaded for help, can't someone see me. Nope! No doctor, no nothing. They didn't offer anything. They were Happy to let me wait it out and dangle in sickness for over another month. I told her I was in pain she said sorry, but that's all the appointments we have. So I asked for a refund. Suddenly everyone and their brother came out of the woodwork. I had received 3 different calls from staff members within 2 days. Where was that help 24 hours earlier when I REALLY needed it??? What a ridiculous awful uncaring place. They couldn't get me the SIBO test I was told they always prescribe. I drove to their office to pick up, they were out. And of course no help. Didn't know when they would be in stock or when they were last ordered. OMG!!!! After a week or so they finally figured out and ordered one to be dropped shipped but couldn't tell me how long it would take or the cost. WOW!!! It was a total cluster F for sure. So unprofessional at Concierge doctors pricing. I had to jump through hoops just for basic SIBO testing information. That was my first encounter with this group and that should have told me everything. I should have asked for a refund right then. Here's the REAL scary part. It wasn't until I found a functional doctor who is totally competent to read my stool test to find out what was wrong with me. True health can't read a basic stool test. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I was told if there was anything wrong or abnormal they would call me to review. They didn't. Of course. Now I know why. This practice is a scam. If you are really sick do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. If a doctor can't read a basic stool sample you should probably not pay them exorbitant fees, like True health charges.
