A couple things about Arthur Margain.... ONE...He is a true artist. He takes hair color to the next level. He was able to create a look that I had asked many colorists to try but they told me it was impossible. I wanted to add highlights to my natural hair without having to color my roots every 2 weeks. In the past I had gotten a color on my roots and then highlights. That meant a ton of maintenance and because my hair grows so fast, I always had glittery silver hairs growing out and ruining my look. Arthur was able to work his magic to blend my blond highlights seamlessly into my natural greying hair so when it grows out it still looks great. I can go as long as I want between coloring and I don't get that awful demarcation line. TWO... What good is great color without healthy hair!? Arthur know all the ways to keep my hair healthy. I can grow my hair longer than I thought possible because it's not breaking and splitting. I can't stress this enough. He manages to apply the color but also nourish the hair. My hair has never felt better. THREE... he knows product. My eyes glaze over when he mentions the chemical reactions of the products he uses but I'm glad he understands it and knows exactly what to use. He also helps me pick the best products to use at home. Not that he's selling things to me. He took me from that damaged stage to long and healthy golden blond (it was a three year grow out process). Art has been my amazing hair stylist for a few years now. The first time I walked into the salon to meet with him, he was super knowledgeable and I felt comfortable right away. He transformed my hair from a frizzy mess to a polished beautiful blonde with the exact combination of bright and gorgeous yet still natural. I used to get my hair done at a different salon but needed a last minute appointment for an event that had come up. I called around town and left messages but Melanie was the only one who called me back within minutes. I was able to make an appointment the same day and for the first time in 20+ years of dying my roots AND getting highlights, she recommended that I skip the dye and just get highlights with toner. Erin is absolutely amazing. I am a natural brunette, but have been blonde for over 20 years now. I moved to Laguna Beach from the East Coast and spent 2 years going to all different stylists and could not find anyone that knew how to make my hair the way I had always liked it, without it turning brassy or pieces breaking off.
