I am going to take her up on that, considering the fact that I left this place with a botched haircut from a stylist named Cassandra. I did not let the owner know that my cut was unblended and poorly executed, because I had not noticed until yesterday. This was after I got a closer look at my hair and after the blowout faded. Unfortunately, as clients, we don't get to see all the mistakes when we leave the salon with a blowout because it hides a lot. Especially with layers. I'll spare you the all gritty details because I've already made the owner aware of Cassandra's awful attitude. However, for context, I saw her twice total and got a weird vibe from her the first time, as she made me feel like an imposition for having dense hair and running into her next appointment. Mind you, I considerately got there 10 minutes early to give time for my first appointment consult. She was visibly annoyed throughout the appointment and did not try hiding it. When I got there for my second appointment (again, I wanted to give the benefit of doubt because I did like the results first time around), I was met with immediate hostility. I was so confused. I'm a nice person?! So, as soon as I realized that she wasn't having an off day (during my initial experience) and this just happened to be how she is, I was concerned. She was unbelievably passive aggressive and rude. At one point, I told her assistant that he was doing a great job because I could tell that he was just starting out. Cassandra interjected and said, "he is doing a good job but he needs to learn." Who says that to a client...? And why not just let the man enjoy a compliment? When I called the owner to let her know, she did express that Cassandra is not a warm person. But this went way beyond that. I'll post photos of my botched cut as well as the inspiration photo that I showed her- which by the way, when I presented my inspo photo, Cassandra asked, "what's wrong with that girl's face?" You would think this would be common sense, but when your client is showing you an inspiration photo, maybe don't make fun of it. Again, common sense. All in all, I got a bad hair cut with extra attitude on the side. I'll pass on both.

I decided to check on Amazon to see if they carried the brand and what their return policy was, and they said right on their page that returns were fine. And on top of that, the same item was $8 cheaper on Amazon!! So much for supporting local businesses that don't believe that support goes both ways!

Thankfully, my mom and maid of honor asked her to remove it before we headed to the venue because i didn't want my guests to misinterpret her hat, but the situation stressed me out on what was supposed to be a peaceful and relaxing morning . And the hat appeared in my wedding photos/video and I had to ask my videographer and photographer to make edits. She also ran about 30 minutes late to my trial and arrived 40 minutes late on my wedding day past my requested start time. I anticipated that she might be late based on reviews and prior experience and adjusted my timeline accordingly, but that is not something a bride should ever have to plan for, especially at this premium price point. Lastly, she left right as my reception began, despite me paying for touch-ups throughout the wedding. At the time I was fine with it, but by the time I cut my cake and after dancing, my bangs looked sweaty and no longer appeared polished. I am not sure if this is typical, but I wanted to share my experience.

My wife got recommend this guy by a coworker of hers. She lives near him in Aliso and says he is really good with hair.. blah blah blah whatever.. I go to a barber! Or I did when I had hair HA! Anyway.. Took my wife here last week.. dropped her at the door on the street and swung around back to the parking lot. Went over to the coffee place couple of stores down. Get back to my car and this blonde guy with long hair starts barking at me that he owns this parking lot and he will have my car towed. So I yell back at the prick.. My wife heres me yelling and comes out with a towel on her head.. turns out.. this BLONDE PRICK IS THE DAMN OWNER OF V SALON!! After he figured out that i was waiting for my wife and she was his customer he STILL COULDNT MAN UP AND APOLOGIZE. He should have comped the whole damn thing! Disgraceful! F- Buddy! I drive from Los Alamitos to Laguna regularly to get my fix from Pamela. She knows how to do blonde hair, let's just say that! She makes it look natural! I have gone to pricier salons in Belmont Shore (just trying to find somewhere closer), but am always unhappy-my hair either looks too white, gold or ashy. I trust her with my cut too-layers seem easy for me to style even though I have wavy hair. I am kind of picky about my hair so it is nice to feel I am in good hands. She is funny and friendly. Followed my long time hairstylist, Monica Montalvo, to this new salon from where she was previously. It's a bit more of a drive then I was making before, but totally worth it! She always does an amazing job on my hair and always makes a trip to the salon and enjoyable experience. I have to say also that the new salon (V salon) is really awesome! I have been going to Melanie for two years, and will never go to anyone else! She is the best of the best, and handles my thick hair extremely well. She always listens to exactly what I want and exceeds my expectations. The artistry in her coloring is also very apparent. I left the salon with shiny hair light ceiling, but the best part my hair was still kept successfully long that not a lot of people noticed that I actually got a haircut! Which for the women who like to wear their hair long is honestly the best feeling ever! Eddie knows exactly what he's doing so much so that I would take a flight from Big Sky Montana back to Laguna in three months just to get my haircut again! Wow... I'm shocked to even have to write this review. I will start out by saying that the owner has…read moreoffered me a full refund. I am going to take her up on that, considering the fact that I left this place with a botched haircut from a stylist named Cassandra. I did not let the owner know that my cut was unblended and poorly executed, because I had not noticed until yesterday. This was after I got a closer look at my hair and after the blowout faded. Unfortunately, as clients, we don't get to see all the mistakes when we leave the salon with a blowout because it hides a lot. Especially with layers. I'll spare you the all gritty details because I've already made the owner aware of Cassandra's awful attitude. However, for context, I saw her twice total and got a weird vibe from her the first time, as she made me feel like an imposition for having dense hair and running into her next appointment. Mind you, I considerately got there 10 minutes early to give time for my first appointment consult. She was visibly annoyed throughout the appointment and did not try hiding it. When I got there for my second appointment (again, I wanted to give the benefit of doubt because I did like the results first time around), I was met with immediate hostility. I was so confused. I'm a nice person?! So, as soon as I realized that she wasn't having an off day (during my initial experience) and this just happened to be how she is, I was concerned. She was unbelievably passive aggressive and rude. At one point, I told her assistant that he was doing a great job because I could tell that he was just starting out. Cassandra interjected and said, "he is doing a good job but he needs to learn." Who says that to a client...? And why not just let the man enjoy a compliment? When I called the owner to let her know, she did express that Cassandra is not a warm person. But this went way beyond that. I'll post photos of my botched cut as well as the inspiration photo that I showed her- which by the way, when I presented my inspo photo, Cassandra asked, "what's wrong with that girl's face?" You would think this would be common sense, but when your client is showing you an inspiration photo, maybe don't make fun of it. Again, common sense. All in all, I got a bad hair cut with extra attitude on the side. I'll pass on both.

When I got in she just talked with me about my hair and my life to get a good sense of who I am and what type of style would work with me. She knew what I wanted without me even knowing. My hair turned out great I am so happy with it! When I come back to Laguna I will definitely be getting another hair cut. She taught me how to style it and made the experience amazing. Vibes were immaculate. The studio is so cute. Highly recommend!
