I accepted your $210 refund, but because I was busy attending to my special needs daughters medical issues the day you sent the text - and I did not respond until the next day - when I politely asked you if I would receive the money back on square - you did not respond to me! When I sent you a text the next day asking for a response- you said no refund - you don't get to slander me and get your money back too. I most certainly did not slander you in any way - I simply told the truth of my experience. First of all you were the one who made the offer of refunding $ 210 out of the $ 395 total I payed to you. I'd be happy to post my receipt (s) to back up my claim of what you charged me. Secondly when you asked me if I wanted low lights I clearly stated no I wanted to go blonder for the summer. The second time I went to you - to have you fix all the low lights and toner in my hair that made it more brown then blonde- you turned my hair a brassy yellow orange. I did recently go to another salon where I got the perfect blonde color with not one excuse as to why that shade could not be achieved and the perfect shag cut which I told you I wanted and you said you could not do with my texture. I am from NYC and I had purchased a Groupon just out of the blue because I knew I really wanted to get my hair done in California and come back with the new look for spring. The salon is easy to find right on the coastal highway in Laguna. Upon entering the salon I was greeted with vintage hanging lamps a red and chrome motorcycle, and Realta my new hairstylist. She asked me to show her pictures about the cut and the balayage I was interested in. She asked if you were questions and then got to work she was quick and precise. Then our conversation really got rolling and she told me so many interesting things about her story. I've been going to V Salon for a few years now and I can't believe they don't have a page on yelp. The salon is located off PCH right next to French 75 restaurant. They do have a small parking lot you can get to off Mountain street and go down the alley behind the salon. There will be a sign that says parking for V Salon and it is free for customers. Once you park you head to the alley, turn left and look for Andree's Patisserie as V Salon is right next door. It can be a little tricky to find the first time. This salon isn't the typical hair salon with a reception area, etc., It is sooooo much better. It's small, quaint and comfortable. Each stylist rents out a space and they handle their own bookings. The atmosphere is very lively and everyone is good friends with one another which makes it so much better. Now onto a more specific review on my stylist Charlene. She has been doing my hair for over 18 years and she is fantastic in every way. I've had long hair, short hair, layered, bangs, various highlights, dye jobs, etc., I'm pretty much at the point where I can sit down and she knows exactly what I want. I personally think her specialty is her haircut and hair weave (highlights). Her cutting technique is so good your hair grows out perfectly even when you get layers. I don't like to spend a lot of time on my hair but because of her talent I get a lot of compliments and many people have asked me where I get my hair done. Charlene is super friendly, spunky and from the moment you meet her you will love her. I drive all the way from Hollywood so I can get my hair done by her. My sister also drives from LA to Laguna to get her haircut. She doesn't trust anyone else but Charlene to touch her hair. I cannot think of a single drawback about this place except for their location (kind of). On the one hand, it is a very beautiful area and the shops surrounding the salon are really interesting and cute. However, the parking lot was a little hard to find and parking on the street is sparse and metered only. There was a lot of traffic on PCH and Laguna Canyon so unless you live nearby give yourself PLENTY of time to get there. I thought 45 minutes would be enough leaving from Long Beach but it took me an hour and a half. Keep in mind I went in mid-summer so this may account for the traffic and lack of street parking. As far as the salon goes it was great! It's a small space but it does not feel like it. It's very simple and feng-shuied. The owner made a lot of cool adjustments around the salon to give it more space and make it more comfortable. MZ did my hair and she was a doll. She was so friendly and complimentary - everything a good hair stylist should be! I liked that she expressed her professional opinion and gave me tips on what cut, color and style would look best on me. My highlights are kind of a mess due to all the different stylists I've been to, but she did my partial highlights very quickly and it turned out great! It still looks quite natural. She finished with a really cute style that she called "Victoria Secret hair". It had body at the roots and was slightly flipped out on the ends. It was very pretty. I will definitely go back in September because I loved that MZ gave great advice on what to do with my hair and what I should do next. read more

I love V salon!! I had seen Greg at work over 10 years ago when my old hairstylist used to work at his salon and I was always impressed. I came back last year after my hair had been ruined from a chemical treatment that went wrong and the old place gave me a lot of grief when I tried to get my money back, plus they made no attempt to fix my hair (on top of many other bad experiences that I won't go into!). With skill and professionalism, Greg brought my hair back. It is hard to find a stylist that can do a good job at cuts, color and highlights. Well, he excels in all these areas. I especially LOVE the highlights, they always come out as if he had colored each hair individually. I also like his attitude and confidence; I never have to tell him what to do, he just knows. The salon is very chic, with the tall ceilings, colored lanterns and draperies and the location is perfect. In the same alley as French 75, behind Coffee Klatch. You can park on the lot by the alley.
