My friend knew the executive chef of this new outpost in the Grove and it did not disappoint one bit! SOOOOOOO GOOOD! This was the best Portuguese food I've ever tasted. The dishes were succulent and very flavorful. We left so full! The decor feels Mediterranean and I loved it. The patio area had a great feel too. This is a must try and a future Michelin contender!

I am so sad to say that I did not eat here nor do I remember the name of the drinks we had, oh but you must try this place! Just by how amazing the drinks were and how passionate the staff was in describing the story behind the drinks - it is a no brainer. If you've never been, then come and see for yourself. Oh and order the drink with the fig (short glass drink on my photos) - you will not regret it! The restaurant is beautiful by the way and in a great spot! Valet is right out front for just $7.

The food is superb! 5 stars without a doubt. With a Portuguese background, this cuisine was unexpectedly a home run! All the starters were amazing including the bread to start (we got all the cold ones believe it or not). Had the Cod as the main dish and it was amazing. For dessert, the rice pudding with sorbet was phenomenal. Service was extremely pleasant. From the host to the servers, they all gave us a great experience. Will definitely be back. Here are a few pics....

Every dish we ordered was filled with flavor, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious!! We had the bread service, dorado catch of the day, bacalhau a bras, gambas ao alhinho, aljo frances tostado, and wahoo curado all of which were amazing! Along with the delicious food the service was impeccable!! We had a lovely waitress and were treated exceptionally by Christian who we believe is a manager there. The amazing chef too, visited us to ensure our experience was all that we expected, and we found that to be an incredible gesture and show how much passion and love he has for what he does! He's undoubtedly one of the top chefs!! They all made our experience unforgettable! The ambiance of the restaurant is chic, beautifully decorated and a work of art! Moment you walk in you feel as if you entered into a skillfully and breathtakingly designed venue! The dessert, cocktail, wine and spirits selection too was exceptional. We will be coming back again!

The service was amazing, all the employees were very friendly. The ambiance was great, super calm. The food was good but I would go again just for the dessert and/or appetizers.

When I heard La Pata Gorda was coming from Ecuador to Coral Gables, I knew I had to try it. I definitely went a little crazy ordering, but every bite made it worth it. First up were the grilled conchas (grilled oysters) and WOW! These were the star of the night. The flavor was so unique and absolutely incredible. Next was the shrimp ceviche, which was different from the lighter versions I usually have since this one had more of an orange colored sauce, but the flavor was still very much there, super good! Then I tried the encebollado, a true Ecuadorian staple, and it was delicious as well. Lastly, I had the seco de chivo. It was okay, not the best I've had, but definitely not the worst either. I just don't think that's their specialty. The seafood is clearly where they shine. For dessert, I got the coconut flan and it did not disappoint! I also tried their mango mule mocktail, which was really good and refreshing. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the service was top-notch, and overall it was such a great experience. I'd absolutely recommend coming here for the seafood, so definitely go check them out!

Not even tender. Just little round slices of some bread. Mediocre. 2. My salmon - absolutely and utterly mediocre. Anyone could have done it. Artlessly served smack in the middle of the plate. The little cup of white rice that is part of it, also, just dumped in a little cup. 3. Camarones al ajillo - OK, but, again, just OK. The shrimp were good, but just good. Nothing outstanding. 4. The sliced beef - yes, actually good. Probably the best thing today... and it's supposed to be a fish and seafood restaurant. So that was actually a great choice. 5. The tostones... hard as a rock, over-cooked, thin... awful. I've had better tostones in dozens of Cuban restaurants in Calle Ocho. 6. The service was the poster boy for "lackadaisical" the server didn't even ask once how the food was; never once refilled our water glasses. I asked him a simple question: can I substitute whatever comes with the salmon for the tostones? It took me 3 times to ask that very specific question before he understood. The guy was totally either spaced out or uninterested. But it really showed. Completely forgot: the Yuca Croquetas are excellent; the fish tacos are excellent. What an absolutely mediocre experience.
