My friend knew the executive chef of this new outpost in the Grove and it did not disappoint one bit! SOOOOOOO GOOOD! This was the best Portuguese food I've ever tasted. The dishes were succulent and very flavorful. We left so full! The decor feels Mediterranean and I loved it. The patio area had a great feel too. This is a must try and a future Michelin contender!

I am so sad to say that I did not eat here nor do I remember the name of the drinks we had, oh but you must try this place! Just by how amazing the drinks were and how passionate the staff was in describing the story behind the drinks - it is a no brainer. If you've never been, then come and see for yourself. Oh and order the drink with the fig (short glass drink on my photos) - you will not regret it! The restaurant is beautiful by the way and in a great spot! Valet is right out front for just $7.

The food is superb! 5 stars without a doubt. With a Portuguese background, this cuisine was unexpectedly a home run! All the starters were amazing including the bread to start (we got all the cold ones believe it or not). Had the Cod as the main dish and it was amazing. For dessert, the rice pudding with sorbet was phenomenal. Service was extremely pleasant. From the host to the servers, they all gave us a great experience. Will definitely be back. Here are a few pics....

Every dish we ordered was filled with flavor, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious!! We had the bread service, dorado catch of the day, bacalhau a bras, gambas ao alhinho, aljo frances tostado, and wahoo curado all of which were amazing! Along with the delicious food the service was impeccable!! We had a lovely waitress and were treated exceptionally by Christian who we believe is a manager there. The amazing chef too, visited us to ensure our experience was all that we expected, and we found that to be an incredible gesture and show how much passion and love he has for what he does! He's undoubtedly one of the top chefs!! They all made our experience unforgettable! The ambiance of the restaurant is chic, beautifully decorated and a work of art! Moment you walk in you feel as if you entered into a skillfully and breathtakingly designed venue! The dessert, cocktail, wine and spirits selection too was exceptional. We will be coming back again!

The service was amazing, all the employees were very friendly. The ambiance was great, super calm. The food was good but I would go again just for the dessert and/or appetizers.

Here you will find an old fashioned Bakehouse with a variety of delicious baked goods. We ordered the following Nutella croissant, cachitos (savory bread stuffed with ham and cheese) coconut custard, and the Portuguese egg tarts. Truth be told, I keep coming back here for the Pastel de Nata (little custard pies) that are seriously addicting. They're crispy, silky smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness. That's really all I came here for, but check out what I ended up leaving with in my picture. The assortment in the box included 4 Custard Pies, 1 pistachio buttercream field sweetbread crescent, 1 Nutella filed sweetbread, 4 fried and stuffed pockets that are croquette-like (stuffed with beef, salt cod, shrimp, or chicken). They also had ham that I didn't get. All were very crispy and had well-seasoned meats. I also got the cheese bread balls. Those need to be warmed up for best results. The staff here is very friendly and full of smiles. Great way to start the morning!

Food was very good Spanish tapas which we ordered several and made it our meal. We also ordered a couple of sangrias, one white and one red. We preferred the red since the white was a bit too sweet for us and then ordered another red to finish off during our meal. The staff was attentive and were available as needed so service was 5 out of 5. Overall would highly recommend and give the overall experience a 5 out of 5.

Horrible Experience - Blatant Discrimination and Zero Service…read more Today June 26th, 2026 I would give this place zero stars if I could. The experience my partner and I had at El Carajo was absolutely disgraceful. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were not welcome. After being seated, we were completely abandoned. We sat at our table for over 12 minutes without a single employee acknowledging our presence. The waitress actively ignored us, completely bypassing our table to serve other parties who arrived after us. She never came over to greet us, never offered us water, and never took our order. It became painfully obvious that this absolute lack of service was not an oversight, but deliberate discrimination because we are a gay couple. To be treated like we were invisible and inherently unwelcome in a public establishment is deeply hurtful and completely unacceptable. The environment felt hostile, and the blatant prejudice we experienced ruined our evening. We ultimately had to leave without even ordering. Do not support this establishment if you value equality, respect, and basic human decency. They do not deserve your business.

A true Spanish "restaurant" ambiance where even the servers were Spanish with whom you could talk about the old country. What a disappointment it was to see the place has transformed into a night club with Latin America music (with extensive profanity) so loud we couldn't even have a conversation or understand what the servers were saying. The menu changed for the worse, two of plates we wanted have been removed although they still show in the menu. Also remarkable the service was below pedestrian. Servers vaping and smoking hukka (not sure if spelled correctly) while serving. Maybe it is the ownership is aiming to a different audience, and as good capitalist, I wish them much success. However, those who like me used to love the old Xixon should know is gone. It is just not for me, my family and at least those accompanying us tonight. So long!
