Went to level six during Miami Spice. Reasonable pricing for good amount of food. For entertainment, there is a live fire dancer that comes on every once in a while. Unfortunately, they sat us in the most uncomfortable table and chair set up in the restaurant. In the middle, they have these very short tables with uncomfortable stools and chairs that make dining awkward. Not to mention, that two of these tables are so close together that my friends and I were bumping elbows and touching the backs of the other dining guests in the table right behind us. And, to make matters worse, we not only had to be in an uncomfortable and tight space with the guests behind us, but we had to endure their yelling almost in our ears the entire time because the music in that restaurant is extremely loud. Music can be loud, but it is to the point where you cannot even hear yourself when speaking or you can only hear the other guests yelling. Suggestions to restaurant management, get rid of the awkward, short tables and chairs, or ask guests when they're making the reservation if they want to sit in that type of setting. Also, you may want to separate those type of tables and stools because they are WAY too close for comfort. And, consider bringing down the music level a few decibels. read more

Love Amal, and Level 6 really does have amazing views, but $25 glasses of Albariño and a bar full of tourists is probably not my favorite Friday night activity. It was my first time. They have a parking lot next door but I'd suggest uber. Drinks were typical Miami prices. I got the nocturno which was basically an espresso martini with tequila. It was good. We got the charcuterie and seafood paella. The paella said it came with squid but I don't remember tasting any mixed in. They have a DJ setting the vibe. Dancers that come out every 30-60mins. I had the pan con tomate, breakfast croissant and flan. All great and very filling. I also had a mocktail that was delicious too. It's a more boujee vibe and the price tag matches that. I'm a fan of Amal & Level 6, having been here multiple times, including when at first opened and most recently for an event. That's why a group of us decided to stop by for the after party at a nearby venue. Architecturally, the whole rooftop vibes are beautiful! Service was top-notch, from the staff of the velvet room to our hostess who was able to get our group a table without reservations. The ambiance is very luxurious and to jokingly quote a friend in the group, sugar daddy vibes. I guess with my silk tie and Austin Burke "pimp blue" suit...and the jazzy hiphop soundtrack fit this vibe. We started off with drinks, of course. My Mojito was very well blended and great as the one of many nightcaps. Myself and most of the group was pretty full from the event we had come from, but I did enjoy their Serrano jam croquettes and their & sweet and crispy bacon wrapped dates. The only area that could need some improvement was the soup from my friend had. Although I didn't try the gazpacho, my friend said that there was literally only one piece of blue crab on it (and only just vegetable). read more

UPDATE - A few months ago my niece had her after wedding brunch at Level 6. Truth be told I went and expected nothing good. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! What a wonderful experience. The food, the cocktails, the service were all top notch. This was not the same place I disliked so much a few years ago. We were a big group and my sister picked the menu with the help of the friendly, & cool manager - I think his name was Angelo maybe. Anyway he gelped with the drink and food service and the whole team was spectacular. Water and drinks were always full and the food was delicious. Great rooftop bar, but you need reservations! If you want a true happy hour bar experience, ask for a table nearby the bar. Most of the other tables are quieter and more isolated, perfect for just chatting with your friends. Drinks were good, and they have the typical assortment of fancy bar food tapas. I checked out Level 6 Rooftop and really liked the party-bar vibe right away. It definitely has that energetic, nightlife feel that works well for the area. That said, it feels pretty crowded, and surprisingly there aren't really any tables with a direct view. Most of the seating actually faces away from it, which kind of defeats the purpose of a rooftop spot. The music was way too loud. I could barely have a conversation with my girlfriend without practically yelling across the table. If you're going strictly for drinks and a party atmosphere, it works. But if you're trying to talk and enjoy dinner, it can be frustrating. Service was good overall, and the staff was friendly, but we did find ourselves looking around for our server a couple of times for refills and additional orders. Prices are on the higher side, but considering the location and atmosphere, that's expected. I was surprised they only had one beer on the entire menu. The food was pretty good, but nothing amazing that would make me want to rush back. The garlic shrimp was disappointing. It tasted more like seaweed and had almost no garlic flavor at all. The highlight for me was the churro with ice cream dessert. That was easily the best thing we ordered. Overall, it's not terrible, but it's nothing special either. I left feeling a bit disappointed, especially given the hype and price point. It's a decent spot for the vibe, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to. read more

Upon sitting down the waitress notified us since we "weren't dining" and "just drinking", there would be a $75 or $95 charge per person (it was very loud with the music and couldn't hear her well) to offset what weren't eating. After we spoke to the server numerous times, they waived the fees on our bill as a courtesy. I was part of a group of few friends, gathering at Level6 for lunch and to catch up with life after several months. First time experience at this place. Level6 is a trendy place with an incredible 360 degrees view of the surroundings (Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne and South Miami). It is August in the middle of the misty summer in Miami, and the place doesn't have A/C at all, only fans. The only place where you can get A/C is inside the bathroom. The DJ's music is loud and makes really hard to have a conversation. The food was mostly tapas, small portions, overpriced and just OK. Nothing extraordinary. Service was also just OK, nothing to justify charging an automatic 20% in tips. This place seems intended to be more one of those to see and being seen. Not planning on coming back. read more
