Not only is she the quickest waxer in the business, but she's guaranteed to strip you clean; no residual hairs left. The facial products and extraction process Kelly uses is phenomenal. In addition, the peppermint foot treatment during your facial is a must. Kelly is a small based business, not a pretentious spa that passes the overhead cost to the customer. Also I was excited that they are currently running a Living Social deal on their massages, so I quickly snagged one. As soon as I walked in, I instantly felt at home with the relaxing vibe and gorgeous décor. I was in need of a good deep tissue massage, considering I am consistently in the gym and I do weight training. So a good massage is very beneficial. My massage therapist, Renee was awesome. Before the session we went over what the massage will entail, as well as I was able to choose my aromatherapy oil for the appointment. He also inquired on what muscle groups I would like to focus on, me personally I wanted all the muscle groups focused on, due to my strenuous total body workouts. When I say that Renee did not disappoint, he massaged out all the kinks, including to focus on my quads and calves. Not to mention he paid attention to the pressure points in my feet. Mind you I commute regularly to DC via the Marc train so I am constantly on the go. That foot massage was heavenly. The massage was so great I already booked my next two visits. I am so glad that I finally was able to have a service done here at Honey&Co. They have a permanent customer in me from now on. I highly recommend Renee for your massage needs, he is highly skilled with over 15 years of massage therapy experience, as well as being a former manager of the Ritz Carlton in Bethesda, so I trust him. The head spa experience itself was nice and relaxing, and the facial was okay as well. However, once my hair fully dried, it was quite greasy at the roots. Personally, my hair felt similar to my "day 3 of no hair washing and using dry shampoo" type hair. As for the facial, my skin ended up feeling dry afterward with some peeling, even though I noted on the intake form that I have dry, sensitive skin and that my skin goals were hydration. Overall, the experience was interesting, but I feel like the spa missed the mark a bit. It was a decent first experience not knowing what to expect at a head spa, but I would imagine at the very least, my hair would look/feel clean.
