This is at times I wish Yelp had more than 5 stars, because Honey&Co is definitely 5 stars. This place has been on my bucket list to try since they occupied the former Zena's Hair and Day Spa location. Also I was excited that they are currently running a Living Social deal on their massages, so I quickly snagged one. As soon as I walked in, I instantly felt at home with the relaxing vibe and gorgeous décor. I was in need of a good deep tissue massage, considering I am consistently in the gym and I do weight training. So a good massage is very beneficial. My massage therapist, Renee was awesome. Before the session we went over what the massage will entail, as well as I was able to choose my aromatherapy oil for the appointment. He also inquired on what muscle groups I would like to focus on, me personally I wanted all the muscle groups focused on, due to my strenuous total body workouts. When I say that Renee did not disappoint, he massaged out all the kinks, including to focus on my quads and calves. Not to mention he paid attention to the pressure points in my feet. Mind you I commute regularly to DC via the Marc train so I am constantly on the go. That foot massage was heavenly. The massage was so great I already booked my next two visits. I am so glad that I finally was able to have a service done here at Honey&Co. They have a permanent customer in me from now on. I highly recommend Renee for your massage needs, he is highly skilled with over 15 years of massage therapy experience, as well as being a former manager of the Ritz Carlton in Bethesda, so I trust him. I had high hopes for this place that were ruined after I went for a mani pedi. My nail technician, Crystal, was super nice, but seemed incredibly unprepared and unskilled when it came to the actual mani pedi. I got through the first part of the pedicure, but was then moved to a tiny chair in the middle of the floor with my feet propped up on an upside down bucket to get my toenails painted - super uncomfortable, and just ruined the whole "relaxing" aspect of the experience. The end result of my toes wasn't awful - they were painted and looked somewhat nice...but definitely not representative of the $48 I spent on them. Then came the manicure. I thought things couldn't get worse .. but they did. I ended up getting cut FOUR times as Crystal was working on my cuticles. She also managed to scrape up my pinky finger while filing down my nail. Ouch. The nail polish also did not dry correctly (had bubbles and just looked weird) - at this point I had been at the salon for two hours. I decided to call it considering the amount of cuts on my hands and poor polish. This really threw her, as she did not know how to go about removing partially dried gel polish. First she tried to scrape it off with the file which I knew was just ruining my nails themselves, and also just did not feel nice. She then tried what is typical practice: soaking the polish in cotton with acetone...she let it sit for two minutes before she started scraping again. Ended up with rough nails and polish scattered around. In addition, the tools that Crystal was using were not sterile, and many of the products were very old and looked like they hadn't been used in months. Weird. Not saying that they're all bad but as a client I prefer to see the sterilization techniques used along with fresh products!! The nail polish also was super old and very sticky. Overall, I simply would not recommend coming here for nails. I hope that their other services are fine, but save your money for a place that actually can do nails. read more

AMAZING! I came for a facial, brow waxing, and tint and was pleasantly surprised! I knew the facial was going to be amazing as it always is (shout out to Rosalyn!!). I was so pleased with the eyebrow wax and tint! My eyebrows STURGGLE and she managed to make me look so good with full perfectly shaped brows! If there is one thing I love in life, it's a trip to the spa. I just love the feeling of getting pampered! Of course, it was a no-brainer to try Honey & Co-- I had heard so many wonderful things (and I found this SWEET deal on Living Social) I went on a Thursday morning so it was really easy to find parking right out front. As soon as you enter, you get the calming spa vibes with a touch of modern regal chic (is that a thing? Lol). I was greeted immediately and asked to fill out a survey regarding my skin and skincare routine. Shortly thereafter, I was greeted by my esthetician, Rosalyn, and escorted to the back. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable! I instantly felt safe in her care. She went over what we would do and told me every thing she used as we went through the facial. I admit, I was a little nervous with it being my first chemical peel (it really isn't as bad as they make it seem), but Rosalyn put all my worries to rest! When I finally saw my face at the end, I was FLOORED!! My skin never looked so good. It was smooth and glowing. I may have found my new regular spa because I definitely will be back!!! read more

My sister, who is an esthetician, flew in from the West Coast and as an amazing treat booked us facials at Honey & Co Boutique Spa. She was looking for a spa that uses Eminence Skincare, which this spa does. The spa is in a beautiful old historic building on N Charles Street and it is obvious that they have tried to maintain the historic charm. There is a parking garage just across the street, which was very convenient. My facial was with Rosalyn Jefferson, who was absolutely amazing! You know that rare instance where you run into someone who has a joyful personality, loves what they do and are truly good at their job? That's Rosalyn. She communicated exactly what she was doing each step of the facial and let me know how my skin might be feeling throughout the process. She also checked with me to make sure that I was feeling comfortable during everything. The best part though was how amazing my skin looked when the facial was over. It absolutely glowed and was so soft! The only other facial I have had that comes close to this was given by a master esthetician. Rosalyn is a joy to be around and truly does an exceptional job! Made an appointment for 9am to get a blow out on Thursday... sat in the waiting room for 20-25 minutes and the stylist did not show up! Then I said I'll just reschedule to the next day since she did not show up. The receptionist was very nice and apologized and said she would guarantee someone would get me in tomorrow at 9am.
