I couldn't agree more with Steve H. review. I also was represented at Serendib law firm by Maya Sercova, who also did nothing for me, except drag my case out for almost 3 years, only to drop my case, leaving me with NO options, resulting in me having to drop all court proceedings without ever having my case heard in court, 3 months prior to the actual hearing. She wouldn't give me a reason why she was dropping my case, other then she didn't think I would win. She lied in court documents, stating that I was evading & avoiding all her attempts at contacting me, that she had no recollection of my whereabouts, when we were in constant contact the entire time, thus resulting in her being granted he motion to be dismissed from my case, thus resulting in me having to drop my lawsuit, with no chance of EVER being able to open a case against the doctor that screwed me up for life. I would suggest you keep looking if you want a competent attorney to represent you all the way to trial. Oh and might I add, that she dropped my case 4 days before a discovery trial was scheduled because she hadn't even done one deposition on my behalf, to submit to the courts. That very case was not to be granted any more postponements as they had used up all they could for a discovery trial. And, to top it all off, she is charging me for a doctor that they insisted I see, on a contingency case. So, I have to pay for something I didn't even ask for, for a case that they didn't even go to trial for. Bad Business. Terrible law firm & incompetent attorneys. read more

Here are some specific examples of why I had a negative experience with Serendib Lawfirm: They were unresponsive to my calls and emails. I would often call or email them with questions, and they would never respond. This made it very difficult to communicate with them, and it made it difficult to get my case moving forward. They didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about the law. When I had questions about the law, they didn't seem to be able to answer them. This made me feel like they weren't very experienced, and it made me feel like they weren't prepared to represent me in court. They didn't seem to be very interested in helping me. I felt like they were just trying to get my case over with as quickly as possible. They didn't seem to be invested in my case, and they didn't seem to be committed to helping me win.
