Instead, I was given a 600-calorie protein diet and told to follow it strictly. When I confided that I knew I would need appetite suppressants to maintain such a low-calorie diet, the taciturn NP balked and only grudgingly agreed to write a prescription for 7 days' worth. Despite my initial misgivings, I did lose a few pounds, and was starting to think that Medi-Weightloss might be alright after all. Then at my last appointment before the recent snow storm that all but closed down Stafford, I was told that should storm prove severe, they would cancel my appointment. That's why I was surprised by a message I got the following Friday that I "missed my appointment," that the office scheduled for me without my knowledge or consent, and even more surprised to learn that they charged me $50.00 for missing this appointment. When I went to my normally scheduled appointment this morning, I informed them of their mistake but was told that the bait-and-switch appointment and missed appointment fee was policy and they made me pay it. Considering the only service this practice provided me was a diet that I could have looked up online and weekly weigh-ins that I could easily do at home, I decided that today's visit would be my last. I don't recommend this practice or company given their ridiculous, under-handed policies.

I tried that unsuccessfully and let them know. After not getting a response, I called CGS Pharmacy LLC at 1-888-773-2449 listed on my last prescription bottle. I thought maybe they would help if Persona wouldn't. Then I found out that Persona Doctors owns and operates CGS as their specialized prescription center in Gaithersburg Md. They once again took my messages saying they would be marked urgent..but no one called back. I understand that businesses close/change etc. I never expected them to operate the same forever. I did however, expect a simple note letting me know that my doctor's office was closing. This is basic decency and allows the patient notice to find a new source/provider. There was no concern about patients going abruptly off their prescriptions or the discomfort they might experience. My sense of urgency was met with indifference. This could have been so easily avoided and what a cruel way to treat loyal paying customers!

After a proper, thorough examination, the doctor there found that it was not a skin tag at all--it was a large, live tick that had been embedded in my neck for weeks. They removed it immediately.Because Abu Sheriff failed to perform a basic, careful examination, I carried a live tick for days longer than necessary. I have now officially tested positive and been diagnosed with Lyme disease as a direct result of this delayed removal and severe oversight.I have full medical documentation, photographs, and records from Patient First proving this negligence.
