Where do I begin…read more... I called the night before my appointment and asked about a Swedish, massage 90 minutes. I was told $90 for 90 minutes and then I asked if they have hot stones and she said yes. So like many other places I've been to, I thought it was part of my massage but I realize I should have asked. More to come on pricing below. I go into what looks like a room for couples with a light that was dim but not dim enough to set the mood for my massage and the waterfall was extremely loud. The masseuse put a towel over the lamp which did nothing. An older lady came in who was my masseuse and she asked me what areas are bothering me. But before we started I should have known something was up when my masseuse had a washcloth to wipe off my hands and my feet. Never in all of my years of having a massage has anybody done that. So that pretty much set the tone for things to come. I let her know that my neck and my shoulders needed work. I kid you not, she did more pushing on me then actual massaging and literally spent almost 15 to 20 minutes massaging my left arm... Just my arm and forearm! It was almost as if she didn't want to give me the massage. She barely massaged my back and yes I told her that my neck and my shoulders were the areas that I needed work but that's where she focused almost all of the time outside of massaging my arm and forearm. She rubbed my feet like she was grating cheese and then as she finished up using the hot stones on my back she moved them back and forth so quickly like she was trying to wipe a stain out of a shirt. On another note, I will say this is my fault for not speaking up but her nails were longer and subsequently I felt them each time she went under my shoulders and massaging my neck. So I get up and get dressed. When I go to the front this young girl tells me that the charge for my massage is $115. I explained to her that I had called the night before and they told me it was $90 for 90 minutes with hot stones. That was when they started babbling back and forth and that was when I told them to forget about it. I laid my card down, begrudgingly left a tip and walked out. Based on the reviews that I saw I had high hopes for getting a really great and relaxing massage. But I walked out realizing what should have been a relaxing experience turned into a waste of time and money.

Anyway, Sami referred me to Camille who also works there, Idyllwild Day Spa (Custom Hair Design-By Camille), for my super complex hair processing. I am sooooo great-full to both of them! Camille has made me so very happy with the results of my hair. Camille is truly an artiest when it comes to hair color and makes sure what ever product is used or processing is done that there is the least amount of hair damage as possible. Both my husband and my 25 year old son has gone to Camille for their hair cuts and were absolutely happy with the results and will be going back. It is a small shop with only the two working in there at separate times so you get one on one attention. It makes me feel very special. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of room to move around. They is complementary coffee, tea, water and you may even find yourself snacking on something they have set out. This is a new shop and as the word gets out it will be hard to get a reservation because they are so good. I hope you enjoy the Idyllwild Day Spa as much as I do.

Sage Spa offers massage, including reflexology, facials, nails, and hair treatments. You gain access to the spa amenities if you get a massage or a facial. Spa amenities include hot tub, cold plunge, steam room, sauna, robes, slippers, and a luxurious locker room for dressing and getting ready. The only down side to Sage is that you can only access the spa amenities with a facial or massage -- not hair or nails. The gift shop is adorable and sells all things beauty. Sage is a fantastic respite at Morongo. I highly recommend!
